Today just isn’t fair!  I’ve been operating with such a lack of ideas for rants and postings this past week that The Pink Flamingo is suffering from a creative malaise.  Then, today I have so darn much I just don’t know where to turn.  Doc is being way too attentive.  Rumsfeld and Mommy Cat still aren’t speaking.

It’s Not An Illegal Issue – It’s A Pedophile Thing

I am sick and tired of conservatives harping on illegal aliens not being deported when they commit a crime.  Lately we have been treated to a spat of illegals who are pedophiles.  Not only are they pedophiles, but they have been released on bond.  Judges do this.

This has nothing to do with illegal immigration and EVERYTHING to do with judges who do not care about children.  We need laws that require that pedophiles are not released on bail.  We must have mandatory sentences for pedophiles.  These must be mandatory life sentences.

I am totally and completely opposed to deporting illegal aliens who are pedophiles.  If they molest a child here in the US, they are going to molest one in their ‘native country’.  I don’t give a rip where they are from or their legal status.  I want them imprisoned the remainder of their natural lives, the same way I want pedophiles who are LEGAL Americans imprisoned.  

When are we going to stop and consider the safety of children, not only here in the US, but everywhere?

Since last week I have been writing that there had to be a gang connection to the Newark murders.  Well, now our blessed conservative anti-immigration heroes are picking up the story.  Funny thing, though, how often do you see the anti-immigration blogs mention the names of the young people who were murdered.  In fact, you might want to read my August 6 posting.

They have names.  They had lives.  They have families who are mourning, heart-broken.  Somehow right now I just don’t think the fact that the monsters who killed them in cold blood are legal or illegal make much difference.

Today Makin mentions the MS-13 connection to the Newark murders. The NY Post has more information on the subject.

Abdul at Hyscience has some additional information on the subject.  I like Hyscience, most of the time.  There is a bit of anti-immigration hysteria once in awhile, but most conservatives have a tendency to believe the information spoon fed to them by “trusted sites” like World Net Daily (the conservative answer to tabloid journalism at its worst).  

A RANT
My real problem here with both the Malkin take on things and Hyscience is the fact that they want these criminals deported.  There is nothing wrong with deporting criminal illegals.  But – let’s make them serve their sentences first.  

Unfortunately this isn’t an illegal immigration subject.  It is a pedophile subject.  It is about judges who don’t’ give a rip about children and their safety.  It is about demanding a federal law requiring life-long sentences for pedophiles, and NO bail.

Why are children in the US more important than in any other country?  

Are we only to protect American children from pedophiles?
