Tomorrow I will be home with the kitties.  I’m thinking of having Rumsfeld dropped off during the afternoon.  I do miss the little sociopath.  Of course it will be a major let-down for him, his spa vacation and all.

Considering his strong finish, how close is Mike Huckabee to First Tier?

A MINI RANT
Today is one of those days when I have very little to say, write, or blog.  What can one say?  Romney bought the Ames Straw Poll, and has single-handedly put an end to straw polls everywhere.  No matter how he crows, brags, and spends, he is not first ‘tier’.  The first Thompson (Tommy) in has dropped out.  The surprising aspect of the whole day was Mike Huckabee’s showing.  Let’s face it, Huckabee gets a bigger boost out of this than anyone else.  Eye on 2008  has the price per vote breakdown.  Evidently Romney spent around two mil for the votes he received, or as Eye on 2008 puts it, shelled out well over $450 per vote!  I like the term pander and solicit. They are such wonderful “prostitution” terms.  We all know this what the whole thing is, prostitution.

I find Huckabee acceptable.  Far more so than Flipper.

This week I have learned something about courage and standing up for friends, what you believe, and going out on a limb if you think it is necessary.  Funny thing, how few people actually have courage.  Also funny how people you think are your friends can’t handle the light of day.  I don’t like being around people who are afraid to take a stand.  Unfortunately it appears professionally most of the people with whom I’ve been associating are just this way.  They are so busy following the herd, determined to pander to those they consider important, they have forgotten an important lesson.  They have become as cruel and vicious as those they dislike so intensely.  Things have come full circle, and I’m the one getting dizzy.

I think that’s what I admire about George W. Bush.  He stands for what he believes even when people are against him.  I don’t know if we all this trait courage or pig-headedness.  With me, it’s the latter.
