FIRST:  Kudos need to go out to my friend, Anne Collier for writing a masterful article for the WOLA (Western Outlaw Lawman Association) Journal about Hattie Ketchum, the step-daughter of James Earp.  James was the oldest Earp brother.  In Frank Waters’ absolutely disgusting The Earp Brothers of Tombstone, there is this scene where “big breasted” Hattie was being beaten by all the Earp brothers one after another, for dating Tom McLaury.  It is the worst scene in the whole book.  Fortunately Frank Waters has, once again, been proven to be a first rate purveyor of the canard. Anne has proven Hattie was ‘happily’ married at that time – to someone Waters knew nothing about.  You see, Frank Waters lied.  It may take over half a century, but lies are eventually exposed.

Rumsfeld is in between weekend adventures.  He went to the poodle parlor today and is now sleeping it off.  Tomorrow he goes to the spa for ten days.  I just hope the little guy is going to be okay.  I know he will be safe there.  My friend Alicia is going to ‘run away’ from home and some visit the condo and the kitties when she gets a chance next week.  Charlotte will be checking in on them.  They seem to be okay.  I don’t like the looks of one of my long time carport mommy cats.  She is horribly thin.  Maybe she is in between litters and just hungry – but I also know of at least a half dozen condo owners who are feeding our outside cats.  I hope there is nothing wrong with her.   

For more than a year I have been careful with my words.  I have tried to dance around the issues without coming out and naming names.  I think we’ve reached a turning point in the battle for the soul of this nation.  As Wyatt Earp’s character in the movie Tombstone shouts, “You’ve wanted the thunder, well now you have it.”

I had other plans for today.  Unfortunately I have been detoured by the mediocre messengers of hate – once again.  It is getting very old, very fast.  I am also rapidly coming to the conclusion that a few of our conservative pundits and blog stars just plain old don’t care who they are associating with.  The information about John Tanton, NumbersUSA, FAIR, Stormfront, the CofCC, and dozens of other intertwined organizations is out there.  By now, if people have not begun to denounce these forces of evil, then they agree with them.  I don’t know about you, but while I find ignorance is just plain stupid, I find tacit acquiescence damning.

Years ago when I first began researching the life of Wyatt Earp, I started with two books, Frontier Marshal by Stuart Lake and The Earp Brothers of Tombstone by Frank Waters.  Two diametrically opposite men were portrayed.  Lake’s Earp was the Great American Hero.  Waters’ Earp was the antichrist, pure, absolute evil.  I realized the only way I could decide which was the correct portrayal was to make a list of Wyatt Earp’s friends and his detractors.  Funny, but his list of detractors soon included outlaws and just plain evil individuals.  Wyatt Earp’s friends and admirer’s included stalwarts like Endicott Peabody, George Parsons, Tom Fitch, Theodore Roosevelt, and William Randolph Hearst.  It was no contest.

So, when history begins to judge this whole nasty and tawdry immigration affair, I would rather be on the side of erring a little in letting a few illegal aliens slip through the cracks and be on the side of George W. Bush, Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Geraldo Rivera, Bill O’Reilly and even Ted Kennedy than I would the side of John Tanton, Roy Beck, Chris Simcox, Stormfront, American Renaissance, Peter Brimelow, VDARE, Tom Tancredo, Ron Paul, Patrick J. Buchanan, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Reagan, Michael Savage, Mark Levine, and Michelle Malkin.  Ted Kennedy may be a drunken derelict at times, but he is not associating with the KKK and white supremacists. I think history is going to judge these people very harshly.  

I think these individuals have done more to damn the conservative movement as they see it than any fairness doctrine or liberal ever could.  They have become their own worst enemy.  We have reached the point where it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with immigration – legal or ill – or border security.  It is about right and wrong and the manipulators of hate and darkness.  We are dealing with two separate issues – border security and immigration.  We are dealing with individuals who have become so cruel, vindictive, and vicious they are almost barbaric in scope and practice.

Our Islamic enemies have been brainwashed into their hatred.  One can’t help but wonder if our good conservative pundits, talk show hosts, and bloggers have not also been brainwashed – by the minions of John Tanton and his spider-web of darkness.  Our enemies in the War on Terror are using physical bombs and ammunition to murder and destroy.  Our blessed conservatives are using words, lies, and ideas.  Sometimes I wonder which is worse.

Congrats and a hearty “Welcome Home” to the Hedgehog.  He is now an official, card-carrying Republican. 

Another example of obscene immigration rules.  Zoila Miller has been in the US since she was one year old.  She is a former city council member, is a leader in the community, has four children, and is now sitting in a detention facility waiting to be deported to Canada, which was her point of entry from Cuba.  Then read the hate-filled racist comments about this person.  I don’t even know if this country is the same one I grew up in, anymore.  When did the promoters of cruelty and hate and lack of compassion take over?  What has happened here?  I want to know what horrible vicious, nasty person turned this woman in?  

“…When not busy at home, she can be found at one of the local college campuses. She attends both Barstow and Victor Valley colleges and hopes to graduate this year having earned four associate of arts degrees in nursing, math and science, liberal arts and criminal justice.

“That way I can do anything. I can teach, be a nurse or get into law enforcement,” she said.

Apart from running for public office, she was also a level II reserve with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Before becoming certified she had to go through a background check.

“Who would do that if they thought they were here illegally?” she asked.

On Tuesday, her husband drove her to the San Bernardino County office of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Service office where she was arrested for violation of immigration laws and now faces deportation.

“This is my home. This is where my family is. This is where I have built my life. How can you pick me out of a crowd and tell me you’re taking it all from me,” she asked.

If she is deported it won’t be to her homeland of Cuba. She would be sent to Canada, the last point of entry in her immigration record. …”

MY RANT FOR THE DAY
Now I know what I want to say.  When did the United States become a land of Gestapo-like tactics where people are encouraged not only to spy on their neighbors if they speak a broken language, or English as a second language, but people like Michelle Malkin are suggesting we then turn them over to the authorities if we suspect they are illegal?  What has happened here?

When did the United States of America go from being the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave to one where one must suspect their neighbors and demand to see their ‘papers’ the way it is done in some totalitarian dictatorship?  I thought conservatives and libertarians wanted less government and less interference.  This is government gone out of control.  This is not the kind of government I want.  When did cruel, vicious pack-animal behavior become the hall-mark of conservatives?  

I am tired of their threats.
I am tired of their ‘cute’ behavior.
I am tired of  their constant denigration of honorable men and women.
I am tired of their smug self-righteous hypocrisy.
I am tired of their cruel, nasty quips.
I am tired of their jokes at others’ expense.
I am tired of  their curses.
I am tired of their eternal conservative damnation.
I am tired of their rude behavior.
I am tired of their nasty remarks.
I am tired of their cruelty to those they feel are beneath them.
I am tired of their arrogance.
I am tired of their inability to comprehend an issue in any manner but their own.
I am tired of their childish temper tantrums.
I am tired of their version of what is right and what is wrong.
I am tired of their ego driven actions that deify logic.
I am tired of their constantly escalating, thinly veiled threats of violence.
I am tired of their lies, canards, prevarications, and manipulation of the truth.
I am tired of their superior attitudes.
I am tired of their constant pronouncements of their ‘Born Again’ status.
I am tired of their complete lack of ‘class’.
I am tired of looking at them.
I am tired of hearing them.
I am tired of watching them berate my friends.
I am tired of hearing them make fun of people with whom they disagree.
I am tired of defending their boorish behavior to my friends who are not only Dems but their social betters.
I am tired of the fact that they are now so vindictive about Ted Kennedy I feel I must defend him!
I am tired of the fact that they are no better than the liberals they denigrate.
I am just sick and tired of putting up with them.  They are giving me a headache.
I am tired of having them within the Republican Party and want them to go elsewhere.  

I am tired of decent Senators, Congresspersons and an odd GOP POTUS or two being defiled, defamed, denigrated, and deplorably treated by “Christian” conservatives whose very behavior is a contradiction in terms because there is absolutely nothing “Christian” in their behavior.  In all actuality, their behavior is a betrayal of every Christian value I’ve been taught. I have this absolutely terrifying, dreadful feeling that once someone steps down onto that deceptive primrose path of thinly disguised hate, it is difficult to see the truth.  In I Corinthians 13  we are told that without love we are nothing but tinkling bells and sounding cymbals.  There is a song we sang in junior choir, “They will know we are Christians by our love.”  The difference that separates us from our Islamic counterparts is L – O – V – E.  The other word often used is ‘charity’.

All perspective has been lost – over one issue.  If single issue conservatives had the ability to think through things and see that they are being manipulated maybe we could have a logical, reasonable discourse but I find myself wondering if it is possible.  Then again, if Bill O’Reilly, who was the most anti-immigration pundit in the media could change his mind and see the truth, then there is hope for others – I hope.

What posses a person who must constantly announce their ‘born again’ status to admit they would go out and turn a decent family over to ICE?  What blackness is in their souls?  What horrible hatred has taken their spirit and pulled it inside out, exposing only cruel vindictiveness? What became of their basic human empathy?

How do these people sleep at night?

For well over a year, here at The Pink Flamingo and The Subway Canaries I have been taking much flack for exposing the rank under-belly of hate that is pushing the anti-immigration movement.  Today it appears as though Liz Mair at GOP Progress has finally been presented with her last straw.

No, I did not ask the question, Ken Prescott from Called As Seen has the honors of bringing up first.


I think the fact that conservatives in the House are threatening GWB over the immigration bill is enough to prove how out of control they are and the issue is.

 I’ve been busy the past couple of days and have missed this.
 Granted, I try my best to ignore Townhall whenever possible because of the crazy factor.  If anything ever pointed to crazies this is it. I’ve been afraid it was going to come to this.  

HOW CONSERVATIVE HATE WORKS
They call it “The Swing State Project”.  It is designed to terrorize, blackmail, and defeat good, decent REPUBLICANS who do not bend to the absolute will of out of control conservatives. Lindsey is not the only person targeted.  Evidently Saxby Chambliss needs something of a back-bone.  They have brow-beaten him into capitulation.

Once again Malkin has posted yet another hit piece on Lindsey.  The other day on O’Reilly she said her opposition to immigration reform has nothing to do with Hispanics, but it sure looks like this is what she is up to.

Show me the hate.  Malkin goes after Lindsey here, also.  What Lindsey is up against.

Thanks to Lindsey Graham and his participation in the “Gang of 14” that Malkin and all the other little lock-step conservatives who get their talking points from (well, I don’t want to say what I think), McCain-Feingold was basically gutted today.  Check out AJ Strata’s take on it.

Why are extreme conservatives only looking at one issue when we are dealing with people who are considered ‘conservative’?
