I am blogging very lite today.

I believe I’ve mentioned how Doc has been acting, not leaving me alone.  I noticed last night, after Redford had died, she just left me alone.  I told my mother I had a feeling Redford had died because of the way Doc was acting.  Currently there is some sort of a ‘buzzer’ in the house and the cats are driving me absolutely crazy.  If I don’t dispose of it we are going to have a cat-astrophe!  I can just see them dive-bombing my collection of pink depression glass.  

For those who are interested, the vet told me that from what he can tell Meow Mix is one of the few cat foods that doesn’t appear to be having problems. (thank goodness)

I’ve also re-posted my May Is Melanoma Month.  Please pay attention to it.  Of all the extremely deadly cancers, melanoma is the most curable.  I think everyone should be forced to have a complete body check ever six months.  If so, most fatal cases of melanoma could be avoided.  If you have a suspicious mole that looks like those gruesome things in the photos, call a good dermatologist tomorrow.  If not YOU WILL DIE.  It is that simple.

Please keep my friend, Tom Arrowsmith-Lowe in your thoughts and prayers for the morrow.  He will be ordained as a priest in the Episcopal Church around 6:30 tomorrow evening.  He is going to make a fantastic priest.  Our kitties and Rumsfeld can’t wait for him to do a St. Francis Day blessing.  He and his family are huge animal lovers, so that makes them good people.

I need to be working on a much postponed coordination of characters for my next novel.  I am trying something new and having the kids from my friend Alicia’s 6^th grade creative writing cast create most of the characters for me.  I need to put things together and choose twelve characters for the book.  We get together Monday morning for the good or bad news.  The ‘winners’ will be mentioned in the book.  Quite honestly I can’t get over how bright these kids are or what a job they did.  You just hope no one extinguishes the light of creativity that glows in some of them.

Prayers and thoughts also need to go out to the people in that Kansas town which was leveled by tornados.  The place looks like it has been nuked or something.  I like Kansas and wouldn’t mind living there if I had to live in a ‘normal’ place.  But, I just can’t take the constant fear of tornados.  Where I lived in SC was bad enough.  They would form over our house then blow toward other areas.  After awhile, staying awake all night, listening to the weather would get old.

Immigration & Hate

I just noticed Geraldo doing a piece about the growth of hate groups who are going after Hispanics.  At least one ‘national’ figure in the media who is going after them.  I know I sound like a broken record, but it never stops.  People like Lou Dobbs continue to ‘rouse rabble’ to the point where a serious incident is going to occur in the near future and people are going to die.  Naturally the MSM and the conservative media will completely ignore this if it is a Hispanic who is killed or seriously injured.
