Dear Pink Flamingo Reader:

Thank You!

The Pink Flamingo’s TLB rankings have jumped from 227 to 92!  You are the reason, and are much appreciated.  Earlier this month we welcomed our 1,000,000th visitor.  Wow!  Who would have thought this could happen?  I did not, that’s for sure.  Unfortunately this makes me want to work even harder.  Darn it!

There is a line from one of my favorite movies, The Philadelphia Story.  It goes something like history will prove today is one of those days that would be best spent staying in bed.  I think it puts today in perspective.  I should have stayed in bed.  Today is the day that the Dems surrendered this nation to Al Qaeda.  It is the day they thumbed their nose at all we hold dear, just so Harry Reid could pick up some mythological Senate seat in 2008.  I don’t know which was worse, the Dems turning on the War or O’Reilly surrendering to Al Qaeda.  I wish I knew what to say, but brighter minds than mine have expounded on the subject all day.  There probably isn’t anything else to say, other than God Bless America!

FYI – twice as many in the US military lost their lives during the Clinton years than under GWB!

Did you notice that Bill O’Reilly has joined the cut and run Iraq surrender crowd despite good news from Iraq?

THE GREAT CAT SOAP OPERA

Redford is not doing good at all.  He has that look of a very sick cat.  Because of his temperament it will do more damage to take him to the vet than to leave him here.  He appears to have the same problem Miss Piggy had, I think.   I don’t know if he is acting like a typical male and making the whole world miserable because he feels bad, or there is something seriously wrong with him.  The poor thing needs an IV, but I don’t know if the psychological damage that would be inflicted on him would hurt more than help.

From the March 4 Pink Flamingo:

ENVIROMENTALISM RUN WILD

We are on the verge of watching one of history’s great scams get underway. My main regret is the fact that I am not a con artist.  There are fortunes to be made here.  We’re talking SNL and Enron all rolled into one big, fat, juicy, absolutely perfect swindle, all of it clocked in legal, liberal self-righteous respectability.  It is a thing of beauty, a work of art, the Sistine Chapel of all time con-jobs!  But, the very, very best part of the whole thing is one day it is all going to come crashing down just like Enron.  When it does, well, I just want to be around to see it.

I read that the worst part of this whole thing is the fact that NO ONE owns the environment, air, water, etc.  But, if the Kyoto standards are set, or morons like the EU put this dodo in place, then governments establish ownership over AIR, WATER, HYDROGEN, ETC.  They will own what here-to-for has been free.  This is the most frightening aspect of this whole mess.  If governments establish ownership over air and water then they can regulate who has access to air and water – all necessary for survival.   Carbon credits are nothing but a ponzy scheme create by enterprising scam artists who know how to separate liberals from their money.   From NewsBusters.

The problem is in places like the EU where rational thought  no longer applies to anything.  You will need carbon credits to purchase fuel to warm your home, drive your car, or even purchase an airline ticket.  If a person has money, no problem.  But – what happens to someone who can’t afford to purchase carbon credits to heat their home?

And you can buy all this dodo on EBay!

Oh dear, once upon a time volcanoes caused tremendous global warming.  Problem here is this was 55 million years ago and no humans were in sight.  Who is Algore going to blame this one on?  The dinos?  Problem here is they were extinct, also.

Lindsey to Harry Reid:  Who  Won In Iraq?

““If the war in Iraq is lost, then who won?  Was it Al Qaeda?  Iran?  Sunni extremists?  Shia extremists?  “Do you believe allowing any of these groups to emerge victorious is in our long-term national interests? “I certainly do not believe allowing them to win is in our long-term interests.  They all stand against the forces of moderation in Iraq and the entire Middle East. “As part of the War on Terror, Iraq is a test of wills – our will to succeed versus our enemy’s will to drive us out.  It’s in our national interest to stand by peaceful Iraqis and against the extremists who not only want to destroy Iraq, but our own way of life.”

Interestingly enough. Say Anything points out that neither Lindsey or John McCain were attending the vote today.  I don’t know about you, but to me it gives the appearance that neither one of them though the vote was worth attending.  I think it should be viewed as an insult aimed at Dirty Harry.   I think Flap  is being too hard on McCain for missing the vote.  Let’s face it, it is a throw-away vote.  The Dems are the ones who need to show up.  McCain is in SC where the GOP is trying to steal a little Dem thunder tonight.

Why was Nancy Pelosi more willing to meet with an Islamic dictator who is helping to fund the war against our country and those who are killing our troops than she was with our military commander trying to defeat the forces of the dictator with whom she met?

Rick Moran at The American Thinker thinks GWB needs to send Nancy Pelosi a dozen or so roses and give Harry Reid a great big kiss on the cheek.  They are the gift that keeps on giving.

James Taranto thinks Giuliani has handed the Dems even more tools to defeat themselves with his great speech the other day.

I think the conservatives are right about The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007 (H.R. 1592)   This could be a ploy by the Dems to send Christians down the same prime rose path Christians in Canada are toddling.  The thing that bothers me the most is the potential for Soros interference in this specific bill.  We all know Soros hates Christianity.  We all know he is basically paying for much of the Dem attack machine.  What is his role in this one? Some of the horrors that have been inflicted upon innocent gays and lesbians are hate crimes.  I think when an actual crime has occurred against this group, yes it should be considered a hate crime, but I also think it is very wrong to silence people who oppose the homosexual agenda (unless it is that Phelps bunch – and I would love to see each and every one of them end up in jail to be deprogrammed).
