Miss Piggy is doing better.  Getting her meds down her is now something of a little battle.  My mother’s cats favorite food has now been recalled.  When is this going to stop?  I went to Pedigree for Rumsfeld.  The felines are now eating only Meow-Mix.  Funny, Brunhilda ate Meow-Mix up until the last year or so of her life.  From now on, that’s what we’re sticking to, I hope.  What’s a ‘parent’ to do?  Rums seems to really like the Pedigree dry.

TRACKBACK SPAM

These are the corporations who paid to clog my system with their trackbacks today.  I am working on a piece about how trackbacks work and who is involved.  The bottom line here is the fact that major companies are putting good money into trackbacks.  I don’t know if they are wittingly doing this or advertising agencies are involved.  A lot of people are getting rich off our innocent blogs.  I’ve started listing trackback spam that involved known entities.  I would like to suggest you do the same..

This came from my friend Bonnie.  If you remember correctly, she sent out an Amber Alert message for the little three year old who was picked up in his parent’s yard with his mother close by him.  “I'm sad to report that the body of little Isaiah Vargas was found in Mesa early yesterday morning.  My heart goes out to his parents and to the families that are devastated by this tragic incident.  I appreciate your support, your prayers, and your willingness to spread the word to your mailing lists.  Bonnie Vining”

Then there is the ongoing HP computer mess.  I spent about an hour online today.  They had me do an F8 I think.  It completely reformatted the blasted machine, destroying anything I had on the hard drive.  So much for that.  I still works like you know what.  I don’t understand how HP can get away with this blasted DV8000.  Try Googling it.

Twenty-one year old divinity student, Endicott Peabody, eagerly awaiting a “Wild West” experience, arrived in Tombstone three months after the infamous Gunfight at the OK Corral.  His assignment was to oversee the construction of the first Episcopal (and Protestant church) in the Arizona Territory.  In just six short months, he experienced enough adventure to last a life-time, rubbing elbows with some of the most colorful and infamous characters in the history of the west.  He also faced the heart break of life and death, murder, theft, marauding Apache, shoot-outs, spiders, rattle-snakes, and even more dangerous – dealing with the women of the church and an out of control choir determined to stage H.M.S. Pinafore no matter what the consequences.  Endicott Peabody established himself as a leader of the community.  His exploits, much to his eternal bemusement became the stuff of legend.  A few short years after leaving Tombstone, Peabody went on to found Groton School.  This is his story, transcribed and footnoted directly from his letters, and more importantly only the second “Earp Era” Tombstone diary discovered to date.

ISLAM, IRAN, IRAQ, TERROR

In the UK they are now no longer going to teach about the Holocaust because it might offend Islam.  BS.  They are also no longer teaching about the Crusades.

PRIMARIES 2008

If I weren’t voting for Giuliani, him telling the media to leave his wife alone would clinch it for me!

Forbes on Giuliani

Romney loaned his own campaign money.

Hyscience on McCain (quite complementary)

Giuliani did $5 million less than Romney – not bad.

Wizbang says Romney has raised $26 million.

Romney and the money.  Can he survive?

Giuliani ahead in Florida.

Oh goodie goodie goodie – Tancredo is running.

I’ve been telling you Obama is the messiah.  Now there is proof.

Hard hitting Mass GOP message about Romney.

Another piece about Romney.

John Fund on Giuliani’s problems.

Fred Thompson may have some lobby problems.

Suppose you raise a pot-full of money but can’t get ahead in the polls?  Just ask Mitt Romney.

If this is true, and it is NYTimes so you never know, Obama (the messiah) has been planning this run for ages.

From today’s WSJ’s Opinion Journal’s Political Diary – a Novak quote.

“…"Sophisticated social conservative activists... are coming to see [Fred] Thompson as the only conservative who can be nominated. Their appreciation of him stems not from his eight years as a U.S. senator from Tennessee but his actor's role as district attorney of Manhattan on 'Law and Order.' That part was molded to Thompson's specifications as a tough prosecutor, lending him political star power. Thompson's political origin as a protege of Sen. Howard Baker, leader of the Tennessee GOP's more liberal wing, prompted hard-line Senate conservatives to consider him a little too liberal. Actually, his lifetime Senate voting record as measured by the American Conservative Union was 86 percent. It would have been close to 100 percent except for his repeated votes supporting McCain's campaign finance reform... The principal complaint about Thompson concerns not his ideology but his work ethic. The rap is that he does not burn the midnight oil -- the identical criticism of Reagan, before and during his presidency" -- Chicago Sun-Times columnist Robert Novak.”
