Mr. Hodges runs an organization based in El Campo, Tx called Hunts For Heroes. They also have chapter in South Carolina , Arkansas , Mississippi , and California and what they do is take soldiers who've been wounded in battle on hunting and fishing trips and other outdoor related activities. All free of charge.
These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero. We Should Not Only Mourn These Men And Women Who Died, We Should Also Thank God That Such People Lived This post is part of the Wednesday Hero Blogroll. Piggy is still sneezing.  I am hoping the vet will be tomorrow so I can take her down.  It could be she has allergies.  I know the wind today has been obscene.  I’m feeling miserable, and I can take something for it. I just noticed a Miss Piggy bloody nose.  This isn’t good.  She goes to the vet first thing tomorrow.

 I don’t know about you, but I found the President quite subdued tonight at the broadcaster’s dinner.  His lines about Cheney and Webb were good, but I think everyone was thinking about Tony Snow, who was the real star of last year’s event.  I thought it was quite sad.

 

Modern mammals (including us) can breath easier.  We weren’t responsible for the demise of the dinosaurs.  That’s one extinction Algore cannot blame on humanity.

 

Why are some people more attractive than others?  No, it isn’t because they are Democrats – wait a minute.  Many of the most attractive people in the world are in the movies.  Hollywood is liberal – maybe attractive people are Dems.  I don’t understand the meaning of this, but maybe my mother was right and we should beware of handsome men.

ACTION ALERT #4: Urge your Congressman to support H.R. 1640: Protecting Americans Fighting Terrorism Act of 2007A lawsuit filed by the Muslim imams who were taken off a US Airways flight in November 2006 alleges discrimination by “John Doe” passengers who were on the flight.  The lawsuit is of course being supported by CAIR.  This could make any passenger on any flight who reports suspicious behavior subject to litigation costs . 

 

To protect passengers from such lawsuits, Rep. Steve Pearce (R-N.M.) and 10 co-sponsors have introduced H.R. 1640 Protecting Americans Fighting Terrorism Act of 2007 .  Co-sponsors of the bill  include Rob Bishop (R-UT), Dan Burton (R- IN), Geoff Davis (R-KY), Trent Franks (R-AZ), John Kline (R-MN), Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI), Howard McKeon (R-CA), Bill Shuster (R-PA), Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA), and Frank Wolf (R-VA).  Attorneys with two Minnesota law firms – Faegre & Benson LLP and Barna, Guzy and Steffen Ltd. – will defend any passengers named pro bono.  The exemplary American Islamic Forum for Democracy in Phoenix  , a Reform Islam organization, is raising money to pay additional legal fees for passengers.    Update:  Bill passes.
