I am having so many problems.  I’d forgotten how absolutely horrid my old laptop was after I made the huge mistake of downloading that servicepack # 2.  Then I was hit by a major mal ware attack that has almost rendered it useless.  I am trying to tweak it back into serviceability, but it is a pain in the you know what.  It dawned on me when I sent the new HP back for repairs on the fried hard drive I’m going to be dealing with a Window’s Vista hard drive. And, according to what I’ve heard nothing is working with it – old soft-ware forget it.  If that is the case, why deal with a windows based system anyway?  I think I’m just going to break down and get a Mac and deal with it.  I just wish I had some sort of recourse with HP with that lemon I purchased in July.  I’ve learned my lesson.  From now on I am going to stick with a retailer instead of ordering from the company web site.  I’ve spent the entire afternoon trying to transfer files from the old system onto the little VIAO.  I would go ahead and purchase a larger version of the smaller one if it weren’t for Vista. 

This is it for today.  I promise I will do something interesting tomorrow.  There is so much going on in the world I don't know where to start.  The thing is, my opinion is nothing - worth nothing  - so I will stick to what I know - cats and complaining about how conservatives are ruining the GOP!

Miss Piggy is still sneezing.  Bat Masterson has been in a very snippy mood.  Oh, Piggy holds a grudge.  She is still mad at me for the Friday doctor visit.  I can’t get over the change in Redford since his surgery.  He’s become more sociable. But, strangely enough he definitely shows an abused cat syndrome, but has never been abused.  He is very much the cowardly lion.

This is interesting.  Delay is being censored in some conservative quarters.   It’s about time.  I had a great rant and rave yesterday, but lost it in the great crash of 2007.  I am going to try to recreate as much of it as possible.  I think it had something to do with about 5 minutes of monologue on Rush expounding, almost with glee, that the GOP is now down to about 35% national identity, while the Dems are at 50%.  His theory is that because the GOP is not conservative, and conservatives ALWAYS win,  no matter who or what they are, that the GOP has swerved moderate, and run everyone off.  Okay, it is convoluted and completely lacking in reality or logic.  The reason the GOP is having identity problems is because our so-called conservatives have detoured so far right they are insulting the intelligence of the “Reagan Democrat”.  I hate to say this, but I know several here-to-for Republicans who now consider themselves Dems or Independent because of the way the conservatives have just simply lost control of themselves.  If they were senior citizens one could consider them ‘incontanant’.  They’ve lost control of their --- mouths.  They have become rude, inconsiderate, cruel, malicious, vindictive, and have absolutely no concept of political reality.

Hannity, Rush, Coulter, etc. have a very simplistic view of the political world.  All a conservative needs to do is show up and run as a conservative and they will win elections.  I hate to break it to them, but there’s a heck of a lot more involved – such as character, honesty, platform, and the voters in their district.  There are political realities that state conservatives simply cannot win in some districts.

Case in point – media matters shreds Rush’s comments about Elizabeth Edwards.
