UPDATE ON MY MOTHER
My mother started feeling better Friday morning when everyone began praying. She's doing much better and had an interesting report from her physician. Her heart muscle and lungs are in good shape. The problem is - and has been - her "a fib". When interrogated as to why she had not called him sooner, my mother informed Dr. Cannon that other people had worse problems. He unloaded with both barrels, told her what was what, and went into detail how she probably should not be alive after her incident 2 years ago. He said he is determined to keep her alive and she had to be have herself! He's cutting one of her more risky medications in half. She already seems to be doing better. If she does not improve, she is to call him before her next appointment in 2 months.
Prayers are wonderful things. I could really tell she was feeling better this evening when she called and wanted to know if I was "watching that AH on FOX". I told her know, but wanted to know what AH she was referring to. She then proceeded to inform me that John Kerry had an eye tuck and a few other tucks, but he was still an "AH". She is feeling better! She had been feeling so bad she never even bothered watching television and couldn’t stand having the news on, let alone rant and rave about John Kerry!
THE GREAT CAT SOAP OPERA
Yesterday Mommy Cat put the babies in my bedroom closet. Sometime today she moved them back to the guest room (nursery). Rumsfeld decided to check things out and she beat the you know what out of him! I ought to put Miss Beverly Sills in with them for awhile, but I really don’t want to.
The Tiny Tyrant never dines on the same thing twice in a row. She seems to like Fancy Feast turkey. The napkin is in place to give you an idea of her actual size. The only way I can feed her is on the kitchen counter, away from Rumsfeld and the other felines.
THE TINY TYRANT
Miss Beverly Sills is gaining weight! She’s now staying awake much more than she had. Evidently she was so weak from malnutrition she could do nothing but sleep. She has started following me down the stairs, and I must carry her up them. She’s also getting tired of being carried and is tying to jump out of my hands, which is also a good sign. She and Bat Masterson were playing this afternoon! She’s starting to play like a kitten, bouncing and pouncing on everything. Maybe she’s going to make it.
The little squirt is using me as a mechanism for climbing – with those sharp little kitten claws. She tried scaling my right leg a few minutes ago. Yikes that hurts!
This was taken earlier in the week. She has discovered the family 'beds'. You can see how small she is. She's maybe 9 weeks old.
