MANIPULATING CONSERVATIVES

I wish I’d never started working on this blog.  I could still be living in a fool’s paradise where I believe the “conservative” label.  Unfortunately my eyes have been opened.  Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.  I don’t like the fact that I personally have been manipulated by the “conservative” agenda, which was once (and basically still is) my own.  When the “Christians” began to take over the GOP in 1994, I was suspicious and now realize Moon was behind the “take-over”.  I walked away from politics because I became disgusted by the “Christian” take-over and the corruption of what was once MY GOP.  Then I discovered we were being manipulated.

The Moon empire controls The Washington Times,  Human Events, The Heritage Foundation, and the Evans-Novak Political Report. They run the Conservative Book Club, Eagle Publishing, and Regnery Publishing. Their stable of authors includes some of the top conservatives in the nation, including Mitt Romney (who I told you last week was a Moon-Shill).  It doesn’t matter how great these people are, they are being published by what I have on excellent authority is in actuality owned by Sun Myung Moon. If so, now we know why not one of these individuals DARE expose their sugar-tit.

This list also explains why the conservative blog world is so incestuous and unwilling to accept new writers or new ideas.  Malkin is the Queen of the Blogs - and she is a Moon flunkie.  No wonder none of the serious questions are being asked! It also proves there is a serious difference between "CONSERVATIVE" AND REPUBLICAN.  When are conservatives going to wise up and realize they are being manipulated?

DEPORT CRIMINAL ALIENS

This is the conservative rallying cry.  I agree with it.  Let’s start by watching Michelle Malkin and all those little Vdares start demanding that Sun Myung Moon be deported for his criminal activities.  And just like is done to illegal migrants who are deported: CONFISCATE HIS PROPERTY!

Let’s have a little intellectual honesty here.  Moon is a criminal money launderer.
“…For decades, Moon has lavished huge sums on right-wing media and friendly politicians. He spends an estimated $100 million a year to keep afloat the conservative Washington Times newspaper, a flagship of the American Right and a journalistic base for many conservative pundits who appear regularly on national TV political shows. The Washington Times and its correspondents have been especially aggressive in seeking President Clinton’s impeachment. After release of Kenneth Starr's report to Congress, a Times editorial demanded of Clinton: "Go, you despicable man, go and be gone." [Sept. 12, 1998]

The Washington Times, however, has ignored Nansook Hong's startling allegations about sexual misconduct and legal deceptions involving the newspaper's founder and funder, Rev. Moon. Though The Washington Times dubs itself "America's Newspaper," Moon has declared in speeches to his followers that his goal is "the natural subjugation" of the United States and its people under his theocratic rule. For Americans who resist and try to maintain their individuality, he has vowed that they will be "digested." [For details on Moon's movement, see iF Magazine, Sept.-Oct. 1997.] Moon also has funnelled large speaking fees, sometimes in the millions of dollars, to prominent political figures, including former president George Bush who has spoken on Moon's behalf in Asia, South America and the United States.

Millions more pour through Moon front groups with innocuous-sounding names, such as the Women's Federation for World Peace and the American Freedom Coalition, indirectly benefitting other leading conservatives, including the Rev. Jerry Falwell and Iran-contra figure Oliver L. North. The key to Moon's power has always been his rivers of subterranean cash from sources that have never been clearly identified. Nansook Hong's book sheds some light on the mystery although she was never in a position to examine Moon's financial records. Hong did, however, see how the operation worked and supplies first-hand evidence that could justify a fuller criminal investigation.

"The Unification Church was a cash operation," Nansook Hong wrote. "I watched Japanese church leaders arrive at regular intervals at East Garden [the Moon compound north of New York City] with paper bags full of money, which the Reverend Moon would either pocket or distribute to the heads of various church-owned business enterprises at his breakfast table. "The Japanese had no trouble bringing the cash into the United States; they would tell customs agents that they were in America to gamble at Atlantic City. In addition, many businesses run by the church were cash operations, including several Japanese restaurants in New York City. I saw deliveries of cash from church headquarters that went directly into the wall safe in Mrs. Moon's closet."

Mrs. Moon pressed her daughter-in-law into one cash-smuggling incident after a trip to Japan in 1992. Mrs. Moon had received "stacks of money" and divvied it up among her entourage for the return trip through Seattle, Hong wrote. "I was given $20,000 in two packs of crisp new bills," Hong remembered. "I hid them beneath the tray in my makeup case. ... I knew that smuggling was illegal, but I believed the followers of Sun Myung Moon answered to higher laws." Inside the United States, Moon's business enterprises helped launder the cash, making it untraceable and enabling the Moons to evade tax laws. Hong wrote that in 1993, Hyo Jin Moon received a $400,000 cash "donation" from Japanese members visiting the Manhattan Center, a Moon-owned recording studio. Hyo Jin Moon "never reported the gift on his tax return or paid a dime of taxes on the money," his ex-wife stated.

In 1994, Rev. Moon sent Hyo Jin $1 million in cash, Hong wrote. Hyo Jin delivered $600,000 to the Manhattan Center in a Bloomingdale's shopping bag and "skimmed off" $400,000 for himself. Former Manhattan Center officials have confirmed independently that the $600,000 was laundered through other Moon business enterprises. [For more details, see iF Magazine, Sept.-Oct. 1997] Nansook Hong wrote that Moon "demonstrated contempt for U.S. law every time he accepted a paper bag full of untraceable, undeclared cash collected from true believers."

Since Moon's early forays into the United States, there have been questions about his sources of money and possible tax violations. In the 1970s, he recruited -- some critics say "brainwashed" -- thousands of young Americans and made them drive from city to city selling flowers and cheap toys. But a congressional investigation in 1978 also uncovered evidence that Moon was acting as a South Korean intelligence agent seeking to penetrate U.S. institutions and that Moon was using his foreign followers to smuggle cash into the United States. Moon's cash transactions prompted a federal tax case against him in the early 1980s. [See iF Magazine, May-June 1998.]

The new Reagan administration tried unsuccessfully to halt the tax case. Federal prosecutors in New York prevailed over the Justice Department and won a conviction against Moon in 1982. Moon denounced his 18-month prison sentence as religious persecution and rallied civil rights groups, including leaders of the American Civil Liberties Union, to his defense Jeremiah S. Gutman, president of the New York Civil Liberties Union, called the prosecution "an indefensible intrusion in private religious affairs." Sen. Orrin G. Hatch, R-Utah, declared that "injustice rather than justice has been served. Inside Moon's organization, however, the routine violation of U.S. tax laws was viewed as a way of life. "There was no question inside the church that the Reverend Moon used his religious tax exemption as a tool for financial gain in the business world," Nansook Hong wrote.

"No matter what the lawyers said in court, no one internally disputed that the Reverend Moon comingled church and business funds. No one had any problem with it. "How often had I heard church advisers discuss funnelling church funds into his business enterprises and political causes because his religious, business, and political goals are the same: world dominance for the Unification Church. It was U.S. tax laws that were wrong, not Sun Myung Moon. Man's law was secondary to the Messiah's mission."

But Moon’s conviction broadened his appeal within religious circles and among civil libertarians -- "a public relations coup," noted Nansook Hong. "Overnight he went from being a despised cult leader to being the symbol of religious persecution. Well-meaning civil libertarians made Sun Myung Moon a martyr to their cause. They, too, were being duped."

Beyond "being duped," however, some of those who rallied to Moon's banner of religious persecution later would profit off their sympathy for the theocrat. Black civil rights leaders, such as Ralph Abernathy, would receive huge speaking fees; Rev. Jerry Falwell would see Moon's millions flowing into allied non-profits; and Gutman would become a leading attorney for Moon's apparatus...."

MOON HATES HOMOSEXUALS
From The Real Sun Myung Moon blog today.

From 2002
“…You know the words of Father. Father doesn’t want America to perish. Why are there so many denominations? There is only one Jesus. Do you think if I was a white man that America would oppose me. No. Bishop Johnson You have a big responsibility. Billy Graham opposed me. Rev. Johnson you should go to Billy Graham and help him understand. In the CAUSA movement. We made unity of Christian ministers. If we make all the Christian ministers unite then the president of this country could come from them. Who will be the next president. It will be the one who obeys God. I made exchange marriages between enemies. Jesus shows us how to love enemy. The exchange marriages between Japan and Korea was exchange marriages between enemies.

Once you keep this way you will never perish. All the saints in the SW follow me now. I’m not a false speaker. The SW protects me. Christians should marry Moslems.

The Last Days are coming to America. Be careful. Those that oppose Rev. Moon will perish. Since I came here, I didn’t get anything from America. Not for me but to save the world. Until the third generation, you should become one. You cannot hold God’s blessing to your lineage. God will condemn those who practice homosexuality. Because God has protected me, I have survived here.

It will take several years for you to understand Rev. Moon’s thought. Eventually all the universities in the world will teach my thought. Father laid a strong foundation in the world in the Media. Father is planning a strong internet-based media. It won’t take long. We can come up with a fundamental resolution for world peace. If you want to come to lead this effort for world peace Father will support you. Your denomination fights you but eventually through your faith and expanding the message through the media they will change.

The Vatican is mistreating one leaders but Father doesn’t attack the Vatican but is patient. If he struck the Vatican the Communists would like it and point out the discord between religions. Therefore Father is patient and loving.

The KGB and CIA studied Father and know he is working for the benefit of their people. The CIA knows that Rev. Moon is good for America. Father has still not used the power of God. He is withholding that power. Even if there is difficulty or trouble in your life, don’t worry just march forward. What is wrong, where is the mistake here. Challenge that person, and say who is doing more for God than Rev. Moon….”

HOW MOON CONTROLS THE RIGHT
From Cell Whitman
“…AFC President Robert Grant, writing to Reverend Moon, thanks him for investing heavily and “helping to bring the AFC into being.” Grant concludes by telling Moon, “Without your leadership, vision and the support of your devoted followers, the AFC would not exist.” (16) Moon, through his fronts, supplied money, “vision” and “leadership” to the conservative movement we see blossoming around us today.

Moon believes he is here to save the entire world, including Christianity. His son Hyo Jin Moon put his father’s vision bluntly:“we must restore Christianity.” (17) For that restoration to happen, Sun Myung Moon believes he must lead Christians into accepting him and his organization. Moon does not expect everyone to become a member of his group, at least not yet. His first step is to gain acceptance as a legitimate participant in the political dialogue, so that he can operate more freely. The American Freedom Coalition played a role in Moon’s plan by gaining acceptance among conservatives, just as the Washington Times did. The AFC was started in 1987, two years before the Christian Coalition was founded. According to Christianity Today the head of the AFC, Robert Grant, explained why the organization, which “would not exist” without Moon, was created. Its purpose was to bring together not Christian groups, but “Christian Right” groups, the theocrats, for political power:

He (Robert Grant) emphasized that AFC is a political coalition formed because of the “inability of the ‘Christian Right’ to achieve its agenda” due to its “fragmentation and its failure to build coalitions with its philosophical allies from other communities for effective civic participation.” (18) Moon describes what he is doing as “the natural subjugation of the American government and population.” (19) We are to go willingly, naturally. Moon doesn’t have to force it; the Christian right and the conservative movement have been bringing us all along as they have accepted Moon’s money and influence. Here is how Moon’s son, Hyo Jin Moon, put it while speaking to members of Moon’s organization in 1991:

We must make Christianity understand and help them be responsible through their own volition. That is why Father has picked these Christian people. It’s not because they are becoming subject over you, don’t look at it in the scheme of subject and object. We are in the course of restoration and we must restore Christianity. That means we must motivate them, just as God motivated Adam. God gave Adam a certain commandment, however, He did not manipulate Adam to perfect himself. No, that portion of Adam’s responsibility was crucial. There has to be a condition within the Christian community of fulfilling their own responsibility. It is our duty to motivate Christian people so that they can ultimately realize who Father is and support Father’s work. (20)

To reach his goals, Moon must move the country theocratic. With the Washington Times propping up right-wing politics, Moon has been busy picking up the naive religious right by the scruff of the neck and leading them to control of our government. Looking around our political landscape today, one can see that Moon’s efforts have been quite successful. Electing George W. Bush will obviously continue to speed up the process, but even if he is defeated in November of 2004, it won’t stop the direction we are heading – increasingly rightward and theocratic. Already, the party currently in control of all three branches of the United States government should rightfully be called The American Theocratic Party.

The Republican Party is controlled by theocrats. The Republican Party would have you believe that they are the “big tent” party. In fact, the group with overwhelming control of Republican Party policies is a theocratic movement, nurtured over the years by Moon’s money and his fronts, such as CAUSA and the American Freedom Coalition mentioned above. In October 2002, Republicans proposed and Congress voted on HR 2357, The House of Worship Political Speech Protection Act, which would have allowed churches to spend up to 20% of their collection plates on partisan politics and still remain tax exempt.

It isn’t hard to figure out which churches would take advantage of that bill. The Episcopal Church, USA and the Interfaith Alliance view HR 2357 and its latest incarnation before Congress, HR 235, as doing roughly the same thing. Commenting on HR 235, the Alliance said the “bill would turn the inner sanctuaries and pulpits of America’s houses of worship into partisan political rally halls.” (21) These unnecessary bills over time would destroy any separation of church and state, something Moon says is “what Satan likes most.” (22) It’s hard to imagine a bill such as HR 2357 even being proposed 25 years ago. It certainly wouldn’t have received any significant support. The vote was in essence a vote to provide the funding for the theocratization of the American government.

Has Moon’s influence helped to make our country more theocratic?...

Likely knowing the value of an artfully-presented message, and undoubtedly skilled at public relations, here Moon instructs his followers to cultivate silence as they work to bring his vision to fruition. “If the U.S. continues its corruption, and we find among the Senators and Congressmen no one really usable for our purpose, we can make Senators and Congressmen out of our members…I have met many famous, so-called famous, Senators and Congressmen; but to my eyes, they are nothing. They are weak and helpless. We will win the battle. This is our dream, our project. But shut your mouth tight.” (31)

Moon himself has given orders not to spill the beans as to how the organization often operates in the political arena. The Fraser Report found that: In 1974, while preparing his followers for a demonstration at the U.N. against withdrawal of troops from South Korea Moon said: “You must remember that you should not be saying anything in political terms. You must say, "We are not concerned about political things. We are not doing this for political reasons, but out of humanitarian motivation.” (32)

Often Moon has predicted dates by which he would control our country and the world. When one looks at his agenda and the new Republican Party’s control over our government and their efforts of late, one can see that he is correct. We are heading where he has wanted us to go all along. The Bush administration recently gave nearly half a million dollars to the Moon organization to teach our kids not to have sex. (33) I believe he had himself “crowned” recently on Capital Hill (34) because he knows he has accomplished what he intended. We are being “naturally” subjugated. We are going, with the help of what might best be called the ‘cult of conservatism,’ where Moon wants us to go.
Here is how Moon described his efforts in 1997:

The famous term “melting pot” is always used to describe America. However, Reverend Moon came to America over twenty-five years ago but he has not become Americanized at all. Rather he has caused America to become Moonized. (35)

Was Moon the only person involved in driving our country right? Of course not. But take for instance Richard Mellon Scaife, the person most point to as the main sugar daddy of the right; Scaife will have to go some to match Moon when it comes to spending targeted, agenda-driven dollars and creating front groups to promote his political goals. The Washington Post reported that Scaife has donated 600 million dollars to conservative causes over the past 40 years.(36) Moon spent a couple billion, at least, on the Washington Times alone - in 20 years. (37) For that matter, as noted in the U.S News & World Report article quoted above, the Heritage Foundation, one of Scaife’s biggest beneficiaries, was compromised by the Moon organization long ago…. To think Moon does anything not designed to reach his personal goals is ignoring who Moon is, what he says and his past actions. The Washington Times has not been stagnant the last 20 years. Moon may be rarely seen around the office today, but his impact on the paper is undeniable. Wes Pruden, the current man in charge at the Washington Times, is the appropriately right-wing person to run your paper if your goal is driving a country’s politics rightward. Pruden, described by Bo Hi Pak as “the soul and conscience in the newsroom,” (38) may be free as a bird, but in my opinion, to say he isn’t helping Moon’s agenda is ludicrous. Anyone who takes Moon’s money, works for his front groups, and speaks on his behalf can be seen as furthering Moon’s overall agenda. Even if it were just the credibility Pruden gives Moon by introducing him at functions, it still helps Moon move his ball down the field. Remember, Moon himself said this about his movement: “we cannot separate the political field from the religious.” (39)

The Washington Times is not a product of the free market of ideas. The paper has never reported a profit.(40) Moon himself admitted that he had spent a billion dollars on the paper by 1991.(41) Although most reports today estimate Moon’s subsidy to the Washington Times at around two billion dollars, (42) conservative Joseph Farah recently estimated the figure to be closer to four billion during an interview with journalist John Gorenfeld.(43) Pruden may have convinced himself that his views have been mainstreamed because of his talents. But in reality his ideas have been pumped into the political dialogue with the backing of the conservative’s number one sugar daddy, the man who led them out of the 40-year liberal wilderness, their political savior, Sun Myung Moon. The former governor of Virginia, A. Linwood Holton, is a member of a group of Republicans who, as their name implies, are trying to get their party to “Come Back to the Mainstream.” According to an Associated Press report, the “problem lies with the ‘extremist element that controls the Republican party,’ Holton said, ‘which has polarized this country.’” (44)

Sun Myung Moon has had as much to do with the changes within the conservative movement, the Republican Party and the political landscape of the United States as any man alive and yet the broadcast media and most of the print media continue to keep the American public in the dark on the subject….”
