Starbucks in Ruidoso, NM Supports Our Troops!

PATRONIZE OUR LOCAL STARBUCKS!
A few weeks ago my mother decided to send coffee and goodies to Matt with the 82nd in Afghanistan. She contacted the Starbucks here in Ruidoso (on Suddreth up past mid-town). They decided to 'cut her a deal'. When I went in today to purchase the coffee, biscotti, mints, etc. I had no idea just what was going to happen. I worked with the assistant manager, who took $70 off the purchase price and donated 5 pounds of coffee. I was told that was the very least they could do and they were all excited to do just a little something for our troops this Christmas!
The bottom line, if you are ever in Ruidoso, NM or live near here, PLEASE patronize our Starbucks on Suddreth. Tell them how much you appreciate what they did to help sent coffee to Matt and the 82nd!
While I was 'shopping', this guy came up to me. He introduced himself and said he'd served in both theaters these past few years. He told me to cut back on the sweets and add beef jerky, sun-flower seeds, and things that are salty. His buddy joined him. They told me our troops really need salty things, that people always sent sweets, but forgot about the salty things.
