MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5

Mommy Cat disappeared around 5PM or so. By midnight, when she had not surfaced, I was worried. I’ve not seen Little Joe Cartwright all day and have no idea where he is. I went down to the bedroom and found more blood on the white carpet. It took Mommy Cat a good 20 minutes to finally surface. Labor is over and she’s still preening. Her girlish figure has returned. The babies are still under the hassock. I’m a little concerned because she has them snuggled in the throw blanket that I keep on top of it. It’s a good way to lose a kitten or two.
Rumsfeld is exhausted from running up and down the steps and around the condo barking. He still thinks he could be the father, but I just don’t think so. If he is, we’re defiantly in the money with poottins or kitpoos. I wonder what they would be worth?
I don’t think I approve of putting the mummy of Tutankhamun on public display.
Harper Lee honored. She actually surfaced! She is such a recluse.
“…In 1961 it won Lee the Pulitzer Prize and in 1962 was made into a movie, which won actor Gregory Peck an Oscar. Peck's wife, Veronique, looked on from the front row as Bush draped the ornate medal over Lee's shoulders. The reclusive Lee, 81, has only published a handful of essays since the novel and has made few public remarks. She was taken to the stage in a wheelchair but stood throughout the 35-minute ceremony, smiling broadly. "'To Kill a Mockingbird' has influenced the character of our country for the better," Bush said. "It's been a gift to the entire world."…”
If you have never read the book, do so, tonight. It is an magnificent tale. There are some versions of gossip that Lee did most of the work on In True Blood, and Truman Capote stole it from her. She was allegedly so hurt, she never wrote another word. More about Neanderthals. They’re getting a lot of press lately.
I knew kids today had problems, but using human feces to get high?
Honoring Feline Heroics (and canine also).
