Welcoming Our New Family Member

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 28
I am still trying to get Beverly Sills to eat something. She is so frail and fragile. Nothing but fur and bones. She’s had a little water and is sleeping. I imagine the poor little thing is exhausted. I think she has bonded with me, which is going to prove problematic when Rumsfeld comes home tomorrow. Maybe they will get along.
I’m fixing the baby a bed. She’s bonded to my footstool. Funny how she took to me. I’ve not had a feline do that since I adopted The Big Guy (Siegfried) 18 years ago. I am going to try and introduce her to Mommy Cat and see if she can be adopted.
THE GREAT CAT SOAP OPERA
Mommy Cat finally surfaced about 4 hours after I arrived home. Josie said she played with the babies yesterday, in the “nursery”. Evidently that put Mommy Cat in a snit and she moved them again. We have no idea where they are. Josie only saw 3 kittens. I wonder if we’ve lost one, esp. considering that Mommy Cat usually has at least one with fading kitten syndrome.
I’ve yet to see Little Joe Cartwright.
This is one of the few days that I am wimping out on a major post. I am tired and have a huge mess to unpack. Tomorrow I will have more fun and games with Sheriff Joe.
