47TH EDITION THURSDAY THIRTEEN
Thirteen Thursday Thirteen Pet Peeves
(No hard feelings intended)

1.  I want to apologize to those TTers who left comments on The Pink Flamingo’s Thursday Thirteen during the past year where I never returned the favor.  Please forgive me, and if you are one, please leave another comment telling me of my failure to reciprocate and I will do so ASAP!

2.  Why don’t Late Thursday Thursday Thirteen posters reciprocate comments? A few do.  Last week I left at least 100 comments.  Less than one quarter were reciprocated!  I’ve been one who has never reciprocated, so I can’t complain that much, but new TT’s need to learn the ropes.

3.  TTs who use Mr. Linkys are My Favorite Thursday Thirteeners!

4.  I really don’t like TTers who really aren’t doing the TT thing, only using a link to promote their blog.  I know of at least 3 people doing that.  Really annoys me.

5.  I don’t comment on TTers who make you jump through hoops in order to post a comment on their TT list.  There’s a specific Yahoo where you must do a separate registration.  Forget it!

6.  Do you enjoy TT lists that celebrate the love of one’s life with all those adorable little things they do?  Maybe it’s sour grapes, but Boring….!  How do I live thee, frankly my dear....!

7.  THE COMMENT THAT WILL MAKE ME A PARIAH! Don’t take this wrong, but I an not really interested in every adorable thing your little one did this week (unless it is a cat).  I don’t know how to break this to you, but those things such as potty training and the like are endearing only to parents, grandparents, god-parents, and maybe an aunt or uncle.

8.  On the other hand, when your kids do something absolutely hilarious, tell us!  There are times when barely adorable transcends and becomes just plain old good literature!

9.  I really don’t like the lists that are “adult” in content.

10.  Have you run across those few TTers who don’t have a viable place to comment?  Make sure your blog accepts comments.  HINT:  Mr. Linkys!

11.  FYI – the early bird TT posters almost always reciprocate comments.

12.   I don’t mind you promoting your book via Thursday Thirteen, but do a viable TT list!.  I am guilty of promoting a book or two via TT, but I always have a REAL list!

13.  Don’t take your TT list so seriously.  Have fun with it.  Lighten up.  Enjoy it.  TT’s are challenging and fun!  I think some of the best TT’s I’ve encountered are the informative ones!  There was one last week that explained what a Twit was! Now that was cool.
