I didn't know there were even that many baseball movies! I haven't seen any of them. (Can you tell I'm not a fan?)

Even though the Tigers didn't make the playoffs, I really enjoyed this year's baseball post-season. "Bull Durham" and "61*" would make my list as well. I am partial to the latter because it was filmed at Tiger Stadium.

I remember Bull Durham so well---it was filmed near where I live. I think that's the one where he said, "Long wet kisses that last for hours." I also like "Field of Dreams." The only other ones I've seen is "Babe Ruth" (John Goodman) and that one with Madonna and Tom Hanks. I didn't know there WERE so many, actually.

This week we've got some gorgeous photos (we didn't take them ourselves so I can say that)---free of politics!

As a Brit, I don't really get baseball, but I did love Stephen King's The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. Pretty sure I missed some major baseball references though!

I loved The Rookie, and Fever Pitch seems like one you can watch over & over. Nice TT.

I'm not a huge baseball fan (although of course coming originally from NH - I should be since the Red Sox just did it...) but I HAVE seen a large majority of these movies.

I've wondered for a long time why it is American's make so many baseball movies and we make so few about cricket.

Bad News Bears and A League of Their Own come to mind, too! (Next year's flick will be some sort of epic tragedy about the demise of the Yankees!)

I'm not a fan of baseball but it sure makes for good moviemaking. ;) Loved Bull Durham and Major League.
