The usual suspects are doing their usual thing. Why? The forces of both the Right and the Left are out of control and nasty. I absolutely refuse to participate in the Hillary Clinton Bitch Hunt. Go after her on her record, not what she believes. Same thing with Ann Coulter. I really don’t see any difference in the two. Frankly, I would rather see Hillary Clinton in power than Ann Coulter.

“…As Media Matters has noted, conservative figures such as media consultant Phil Kent and Fox News' Bill O'Reilly have falsely claimed that Soros channels money to the organization from the Open Society Institute (OSI) through the Tides Foundation or the Center for American Progress (CAP).
In fact, OSI's income tax returns indicating grants to U.S. public charities show that every dollar OSI granted to Tides from 2001 to 2005 was earmarked for specific Tides-related programs and entities, and that Media Matters was not included on the list.

The available returns show that OSI has issued just two grants to CAP, both in 2005. According to the 2005 form, OSI granted $150,000 to CAP's Faith and Public Life Resource Center; it approved, but did not pay, a $110,000 grant to Campus Progress. Media Matters received no funding from CAP in 2005.

Alternatively, conservative figures have falsely claimed that Soros has funneled money to Media Matters through the Democracy Alliance, which does not itself make grants. Democracy Alliance founder Rob Stein explained during a November 30, 2006, forum hosted by the Hudson Institute titled "How Vast the Left Wing Conspiracy?":
STEIN: It's very important to understand that the Alliance does not take in any money to distribute to groups. The money we take in pays our administrative costs. We are not a 501(c)(3). We are a taxable nonprofit organization. We recommend to our partners, and our partners then make decisions which organizations to support, and they are fully informed -- we have very good counsel -- of all the legal requirements of disclosure and limitations that come with supporting any of those types of vehicles.

The Washington Post reported on July 17, 2006, that the Democracy Alliance "endorse[s]" specific organizations and serves as a "cooperative for donors, allowing them to coordinate their giving so that it has more influence."
While Soros is identified as a member of the Democracy Alliance, he has never given money to Media Matters through the alliance or otherwise….”

This is quite fascinating. Even Discover the Networks admits Soros DOES NOT fund Media Matters.
They are not “Directly” linked. CNS has a rather humorous article about the entangled alliances between Soros and all these other groups. If I did not know about John Tanton, Richard Viguerie, and Sun Myung Moon and conservative groups I would have my panties in a wad the way half the “conservative” world does. BUT – I have been exposing the conservative alliances for nearly two years.

Michelle Malkin is one of the last people who should be calling MoveOn.Org bullies, considering all the bullying she has done to anyone who disagrees with her on immigration reform.
I will simply refer to one of George Archibald’s articles about Moon and the WTimes.

The only reason we have MoveOn.Org today is because of what conservatives like Rush did to the Clintons. They are reaping their own rewards. Then there is William Greene and his ‘rapid response team’ to counter Soros.

A QUICK MINI RANT
Mac’s Mind wants to revoke Media Matter’s Tax Exempt status. I think Media Matters is a nit-picker. I don’t like nit-pickers. Do you know what a “Nit” is? It’s a baby louse, probably an excellent analogy. It is a lousy situation. I don’t like Media Matters any more than I like Brent Bozell’s bunch. They are both obnoxious.

The problem is the fact that we are dealing with extremes on both side – liberal and conservative. I really don’t see much difference in either group. Both sides are rude, vicious, crude, and are starting to be an embarrassment. BUT – I will defend the right of both groups to do what they do. We live in a free society (allegedly). The thing that terrifies me is the assault on our basic “rights” by conservatives. Ann Coulter doesn’t think women should be allowed to vote. The Ron Paul crowd wants to repeal at lest two Constitutional Amendments. Now, conservatives are assaulting Free Speech. I think they’ve gone so far right they are heading left. Liberals are going so far left they are heading right. Me, I want to be in the middle. It may not be as safe, but it is rational and stable.

Rush was wrong in the first part of his attack by accusing the soldier who said he was a Republican of lying. He was rude. I thought he went to far, but he has been going too far lately. Should he apologize to that specific caller? Well, I think he should.

On the other hand …..

WHY ALL THIS ADO ABOUT NOTHING?
What is Harry Reid up to? Throughout this whole mess, aside from the MoveOn ad, what is up with Harry Reid and why is he trying to divert attention? To me that’s the whole question: What’s going on he wants to keep away from the prying eyes of the world.

Something is wrong in this world. I am agreeing with Rick Moran again.
Why isn’t the Senate and House concentrating on the atrocities in Borneo?

Lindsey on Rush, or Class is Class and Lindsey is the one who has it. From The Palmetto Scoop: For the past few years Rush has done nothing but castigate and degrade Lindsey Graham. Today Lindsey came out and defended Rush against the actions of Harry Reid. I don’t think I’ve ever been so proud of him.

All of this reminds me of my favorite poem. I think both Harry Reid and Rush Limbaugh need to read it.
