A RANT
If anything should illustrate the problems within the "conservative movement" the above statement by RichardViguerie should say it all.

Yesterday I covered the “big” “Christian” meeting of “Christian” leaders over the weekend. I still have the same comment. IT’S THE POWER, STUPID. They are trying to regain their strangle-hold on the GOP. If Rudy Giuliani is elected, they’re finished. I think their actions are nothing but a commentary on the idiocy that is going on with today’s conservatives.

I find myself constantly commenting on how today’s far right extreme over the top conservatives have completely forgotten what it is like to be “conservative”. They have become spoiled, petty, intrusive, and constantly demanding attention. I’m not sure if they are suffering from an acute Narcissistic Personality Disorder or they are just acting like very obnoxious spoiled brats. They seem to have forgotten that “conservative” values personal freedom, individual rights, less intrusive government, and the right to do and say what you want to do and say. They also seem to forget that Media Matters has a right to smear conservatives the very same way Brent Bozell goes after the left.

Our dear conservatives have forgotten it’s political – all is far. When you strike out at liberals the way a few of our more illustrious celeb conservative pundits and talk show host do today, you are living in a fool’s paradise if you think the left isn’t going to strike back. I have a liberal friend who says, “Payback’s hell.” And, if you don’t think this is payback, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I can sell at a very low price.

I find the crocodile tears of the right falling over Billy O’Reilly and Rush Limbaugh’s little MoveOn problem to be completely false, and utterly pointless. Funny thing about all of this. These two are acting like a pair of little spoiled Lord Fauntleroys, completely lacking in male fortitude or enough testosterone to “Cowboy” through it, with a stiff upper lip. They both now look like a pair of obnoxious little bullies.

Funny thing about it, the Four Conservative Bitches of the Apocalypse: Malkin, Ingraham, Coulter, and Bruce are tougher and have more courage under fire than these two petty little men. They have more testosterone than all our conservative talk show pundits combined. To bad the men can’t take a page from them and “Hillary” on, proud, strong, and neither shaken or stirred.

Conservatives are simply reaping what they sewed during the Clinton years. They need to be big enough, adult enough, and MAN ENOUGH to stand up and take it. If not, sit down, shut up and let someone who can deal with them.

Rick Moran lost it today and is no longer a Republican. While I do agree with a few things he said, I think he should stay and fight. On the other hand, he is one of those I’ve wondered wasn’t more Libertarian than GOP.
