Mommy cat now waits for me to round up and move her kittens.  They are getting fat and quite mobile, except for the little red one.  His little hind legs are deformed and he walks like a seal.  It is pathetic, but he moves quickly and follows me around when I go into the guest room ‘nursery’.  I wish I knew what to do about him.  I need to make a decision in the next two weeks when he will be old enough for me to take him to the vet.  If I can’t find someone who can care for him and love him, I am going to be forced to make some difficult decisions.  If he isn’t going to be any better, I don’t know what I am going to do.  I don’t need another cat, and I am afraid I will get attached.

THE REAL REASON ILLEGAL MEXICAN IMMIGRATION WILL NEVER END

Some may think I am soft on illegal immigration. Maybe I am, but I have my reason.  First, we need the workers.  Secondly, I have a grasp on the humanitarian crises that is Mexico.  Third, I know why these people are coming over the border.  It is quite simple, actually.

Have you ever been exposed to the ‘other’ Mexicans?  By ‘other’ Mexicans I am talking about the plutocracy.  Today I had my fill of them.  They are the real problem behind the illegal immigration problem.  Until these people are forced to stop treating the rest of the population in Mexico like paid serfs living on a pittance we are going to have a problem with illegal immigrants.

Every Christmas Ruidoso, New Mexico is over-run by these people. This year there have been more visitors from the plutocracy of Mexico than ever before.  They are rude, arrogant, vile, despicable, and treat anyone they perceive to be of a lesser class (all of us) like abject dirt.  If this is the way they treat the people unfortunate enough to work for them, no wonder people leave Mexico anyway they possibly can.

The Mexican plutocracy rarely mixes with those of us they consider ‘low-life’.  They stroll into restaurants as if they own them, insulting the servers, rarely tipping, and shoving ahead of anyone who gets in their way.  Their children are unrestrained.  They run around stores and eateries, running into servers, knocking people down, and fingering everything in a salad bar.  No one disciplines them.  The behavior of the plutocracy is so out of control these past few years, restaurant managers are finally asking them to leave the premises if they become too obnoxious.

No matter where you go around town you hear the same story.  The best tale, so far this year is the one about one of the locals, Hispanic, who was in one of the grocery stores here when two members of the Mexican plutocracy (you can always tell who they are because they walk around town wearing very expensive ski jackets and their lift tickets, even if it is a 55 degree day – another huge joke here) pushed their carts in front of her, knocking her cart around a bit.  They pushed her aside and grabbed for – say a jar of mayo, putting into their cart.  They then stand their chattering in Spanish.  This woman grabs the jar of mayo out of the cart and comments in Spanish, “If you intend to stand there and be so rude, where I cannot get up to what I want, I’ll just take it out of your cart and you can grab another.”  The stood there stunned.  The store was full of local people who just hooted with laughter.

Today I went up to the Inn of the Mountain Gods for brunch.  FYI – it is terrible, don’t bother spending the eleven bucks.  The Mexican plutocracy was checking out of the resort en mass.  They were also dining.  The restaurant opened at eleven.  We were there right at eleven and stood there for a few moments before they were ready to open.  There was an informal line.  The moment they opened, the plutocracy pushed ahead of everyone to get in first.  They were very rude.

When they walk through anything here they push you out of the way.  In places like Wally-world they are like vultures.  They empty the shelves, sometimes a family taking three shopping cards and meandering through the aisles blocking anyone from going past them or going on ahead of them.  There will be maybe a half dozen adults and eight to ten children.  After awhile the men in the party will take two of the carts and go stand in line, blocking the check-out lines, while their wives shop, bringing things to put in the carts, forcing everyone behind them to wait for what seems forever.  Suddenly, where there would only be two men standing with carts full, there are a half-dozen adults, putting things in cards, separating them, and pushing into the line – with nothing you can do to stop them.  We’re talking a 20 minute wait – for things you really need and don’t have time to come back and pick up later.

These people rarely associate with us low-life ‘locals’.  When someone does get an invitation to visit them in Mexico, they come back with tales of palatial estates with dozens upon dozens of serf-like servants, badly treated and badly paid.  A woman will have a lady’s maid, dresser, bathroom maid, cleaning woman for her room, secretary, and companion – and that’s just for her.  The kids each have a nanny and personal maid.  There are cooks, cleaners, butlers, chauffeurs, gardeners, stable help, and servants for just about any possible thing they can conceptualize.  They are paid very, very little.  The only way they can survive is for other members of their families to cross into the US illegally and make money to send home.

We are basically subsidizing the extravagant life-style of the Mexican plutocracy.  While they are in power nothing, absolutely nothing is going to change.  They do not want it to.  They do not want to lose a life-style more extravagant than anywhere else on earth practically.  There are few places left on the planet where one class of people lives off the back of the ‘serf’ class the way these people do.  They are like the Russian aristocracy.  Unfortunately, they are going to meet the same end as the Russian aristocracy, mark my words.

If these people do not change, Mexico is going to go the way of Venezuela.  When this happens, this plutocracy is going to swarm over the border.  The only good thing I see is when they do, the ‘serf’ class they brutalized and abused so badly while in Mexico, that now live here, are, I hope, going to treat them like dirt.

Also, realize that the Mexican plutocracy now includes major drug dealers and drug money.  They are absolute dictators with no checks nor balances.  We cannot secure our borders until these people are forced to accept the same conditions as the rest of us and live like other people in the world, not as a land of privileged kings and queens with little thought or regard for those around them.

Do you think I like writing this?  I am a Republican.  But, I know what I have seen these past ten years.  These people are getting worse and worse.  They are the most arrogant individuals I have ever seen.  No good can come of a life-style that went out of vogue after the Fall of Rome.  You think I am kidding, but I am not.  These people live like the ancient Roman despots of old, and are just as considerate of ‘the masses’.  All the Border Patrol and the miles and miles of fence are not going to stop the downtrodden people of Mexico who just want a break.  They aren’t going to get it in Mexico, not in the for-seeable future, anyway.

John Bolton finally speaks.  We'd better listen.

About the UN:..."On January the 1st, five new non permanent members came on the Security Council and  that means we are going to have a different council and in some respects a much more difficult environment on Middle East. The two that are quite significant are Tanzania, being  replaced by South Africa who is  very close to the non aligned nations and the other important change is Japan being replaced by another Muslim country, in fact the largest Muslim country, Indonesia. These shifts are going to make it more difficult and more challenging in the next two years...."  This is not good.

THE WYATT EARP STRATEGY v. NANCY I's CARE BEAR STRATEGY

Sometimes we just need a little Wyatt Earp in our lives.  Kudos to Adriana Ramirez’s American Thinker editorial Hell’s Coming With Me,based on Wyatt Earp’s cry to Ike Clanton, “You tell them I’m coming an hell is coming with us!” after Wyatt does in Frank Stilwell at the depot there in Tucson in the movie Tombstone.  Anyone who is a Wyatt Earp fan like I am understands coloration between George W. Bush and our current problems and the War on Terror.  To make it an even greater analogy, just put the Dems in there as John Behan and his wink and nod to the Cowboys, who lead a reign of terror throughout the southern part of Arizona and New Mexico and into Mexico.  Their depravations were so bad, Mexico was on the verge of declaring war on the US if they were not stopped.  No matter what his detractors might say, after Wyatt Earp concluded his Vendetta Ride, the situation righted itself.

Wyatt Earp gave up his hopes and dreams and any sort of a ‘legacy’ or a normal life (Earp expert Jeff Morey is the one who came up with that line for the movie).  There are moments in time that require a person to step outside of the ordinary, to risk everything, not for personal gain or riches, but to make things better, to right a wrong,

The Gateway Pundit puts it best.  Nancy I and her associates are setting Iraq up for another killing field like Cambodia as they demand The President and Commander in Chief of the United States of America, George W. Bush, do as they tell him to do.  It comes from Bob Schiefer this morning.

"...Rep. PELOSI: Well, if the president chooses to escalate the war, hich is contrary to the, of course, the will of the American people--they have spoken on the subject--but even the advice of his own government, his own generals--in December, General Abizaid testified before the Senate that in his conversations with General Dempsey and with General Casey, they believe that adding more troops will not improve the situation there. And so he's not listening to the generals, the president isn't. And he's not listening to the American people. We, as their representatives, are trying to engage in dialogue with the president to find some common ground, to reach an end to the situation. Now, let's be positive about the president's speech. We wrote this letter because we have heard that he is in consultation with his advisers about a course of action, and we wanted to indicate to him which course of action we could work together on.

SCHIEFFER: So you've told him what you don't want to do, and that is to expand the size of the force in Iraq, even on a short term basis. But what if he decides to do that? What will be your action then?

Rep. PELOSI: If the president chooses to escalate the war, in his budget request, we want to see a distinction between what is there to support the troops who are there now. The American people and the Congress support those troops. We will not abandon them. But if the president wants to add to this mission, he is going to have to justify it. And this is new for him because, up until now, the Republican Congress has given him a blank check with no oversight, no standards, no conditions, and we've gone into this situation, which is a war without end, which the American people have rejected...."

The Gateway Pundit has also noticed something I mention today:

The US lost 58,219 military personnel in Vietnam. The US has lost 3,012 solders and marines in Iraq.

The US lost more innocents in 3 1/2 hours on September 11, 2001 than brave soldiers and marines in 3 1/2 years of fighting in Iraq; a country that has a
lower violent death rate than New Orleans!

CHILL NANCY, or THE CARE BEAR STRATEGY

You need to check Lucianne today. The cover cartoon is absolutely wonderful.  It shows Her Most Royal Majesty Nancy I flopped down on bed, dressed like a homecoming queen, with the caption, “Chill, Nancy.”  Check the editorial out of the Canadian Free Press.  “…Did I miss that Speaker Pelosi or Majority Leader Reid appointed themselves Commander-in-Chief in the early off hours? Fear not, "the most powerful woman in the world" Nancy Pelosi has a plan. Her plan is to abolish our system of self-governance and appoint herself Queen, for the greater common good of course...” And in keeping with her royal selfness, Nancy I is now hinting that she will pull funds from Iraq.

At least the Canadian press is hammering the Dems. This is just beautiful!  I couldn’t have said it better myself!

“…Well, the same way it's possible that American voters elected Democrats to improve employment while Republicans had the lowest unemployment rate in recent history. The same way American voters elected Democrats to improve the economy as the stock market and private home ownership set all-time highs and interest rates were at a 30-year low. The same way American voters elected Democrats who pilfered the Social Security system for pet special interest voter groups, for the purpose of saving Social Security. Last but not least, the same way American voters elected Democrats largely responsible for international terrorism, with the notion that anti-war liberals could actually win the international war on terror that Democrats want no part of and are committed to retreating from at the earliest possible date. That's how!

Why did American voters commit this national suicide? Because the press told them to, day in and day out, 24/7, headline after headline, for six years solid. Even as numerous international terrorists and heads of notably anti-American terror states openly campaigned for Democrats in the Ô06' election and cheered their victory as votes were being tabulated, few American voters stopped to ask why our most devoted enemies would prefer Democrats in congress--and a few weeks later, as Chairman Dean points out, the consequences of that election are beginning to take shape…

…Did I miss that Speaker Pelosi or Majority Leader Reid appointed themselves Commander-in-Chief in the early off hours? …  They make this demand on behalf of the American people, who according to Democrats, "spoke loud and clear" in the '06' election, calling for retreat and defeat in Iraq. Fear not, "the most powerful woman in the world" Nancy Pelosi has a plan. Her plan is to abolish our system of self-governance and appoint herself Queen, for the greater common good of course. Don't be so self-centered... Shut up and march stupid!...The American press has been completely complicit in what can only be deemed a systematic culture of political treason from Americas' so-called progressive elite. The news media is the most powerful institution in America today and it is controlled by anti-American leftists..”

Strata-Sphere on the left wing idiots and terror.

(Satire) From The People’s Cube – the Care Bear Strategy:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent a letter to President Bush urging him to reject any plan that could potentially result in a military victory in Iraq. The leaders warned that a surge in troop levels might further antagonize al-Qaeda's already-overtaxed fighters, and cited the dangers of U.S. victory to the future of the Democratic Party, liberal media, and world's progress towards socialism. The two leaders called on the President to heed the will of the anti-American forces, make up with dictators in Iran and Syria, and recognize the need to abandon the silly notion that all people are born equal and desire freedom…Speaker of the House Pelosi: "Adding more combat troops will only endanger our Jihadist allies to the breaking point for no strategic gain. They helped us win the House and we're not going to disappoint them. The same goes for our radical base at home.".”

GENOCIDE IN ZIMBAWE

How about this headline.  The one big thing that hits me is you want proof GWB is right?  Here it is.  Sorry about that, Bush-haters.

“…ENEMIES of liberty who argue that democracy is not suited to all societies and that US President George W. Bush was wrong in principle as well as in practice in fighting to allow Iraqis to choose their rulers should read RW Johnson's report on Zimbabwe in The Australian today. The story shows what happens when fair elections and open government, as well as the other pillars of a just society, free enterprise and equal access to justice, do not exist. Johnson reports on how a once prosperous African nation is reduced to a wreck, where starvation and brutality are the norm and the state treats ordinary people as its enemy. Millions have fled Zimbabwe, or died from hunger, disease and violence. Life expectancy is barely half what it was 15 years ago, and the economy has shrunk by 40 per cent this century. And it is all the work of dictator Robert Mugabe and his henchmen, who have entrenched their political power and economic authority by beggaring and beating, starving and killing their own people…”

What about the genocide in Zimbabwe?

… horde of painfully thin street kids milling around you at traffic lights is almost the least of it: in a population now down to 11million or less, there are an estimated 1.3 million orphans. Go to one of the overflowing cemeteries in Bulawayo or Beit Bridge, and you are struck by the long lines of tiny graves for babies and toddlers.  Hyena attacks on humans, previously unheard of, are increasingly common. "So many babies, not all of them dead, are being dumped in the bush that hyenas have developed a taste for human flesh," a game ranger said. A staggering 42,000 women died in childbirth last year, compared with fewer than 1000 a decade ago. A vast human cull is under way in Zimbabwe, and the majority of deaths are a direct result of government policies. Ignored by the UN, it is a genocide perhaps 10 times greater than Darfur's and more than twice as large as Rwanda's…About 29 per cent of sexually active Zimbabweans are reckoned to be HIV-positive and the economic collapse has devastated the health system and stopped the distribution of anti-AIDS drugs. World Health Organisation figures show life expectancy in Zimbabwe, which was 62 in 1990, had plummeted to 37 for men and 34 for women by 2004. These are by far the worst such figures in the world.Yet Zimbabwe does not even get on to the UN agenda: South Africa's President Thabo Mbeki, who has covered for Mugabe, uses his leverage to prevent discussion…”

MURDER RATE IN NEW ORLEANS V. MURDER RATE IN BAGHDAD

Funny thing about murder stats.   They can be manipulated to make anyone look bad, including GWB and Iraq.  So far this year there have been at least 8 murders in New Orleans.  The population there is about 200,000.  Now let’s segue to Baghdad. And a liberal view of the story with terribly high numbers.  Main thing – Baghdad has a population of 7 million.  If NO had 7 million there would be 280 murders in the past week.  The thing is, those murders occurred the first five days of the year, not the first seven.  Try this Spectator article, which says New Orleans has a rate 10 times higher than any other city. Crunch these numbers.  If NO had 192 murders last  year and the population is only 200,000 then factor that times 5 to pull the numbers to a million and there would have been 960 murders in one year.  If you multiply that number by 7 to come up with the same population of Baghdad the murder rate would be 6,720 murders in one year.  According to the Brookings Institute,  they were estimating 5,320 murders for Baghdad in 2006. Kung Fu Monkeys has a little different take on the numbers.  but we’re still in the same ballpark.  In other words, if New Orleans were to have the same population as Baghdad, there would have been 1,400 MORE murders in 2006 than in Baghdad.  I don’t know which is worse, New Orleans or Baghdad.  If I am right (and I rarely am when it comes to numbers because I am a dyslexic kindergarten drop-out) then New Orleans is a national disgrace, far worse than Baghdad.  At least they are undergoing what looks to be ‘sectarian’ violence.  What is New Orleans’ excuse?  Note even if my numbers are off – just the basic comparison shows there is something extremely rotten in New Orleans.

THE FALL OF THE VALUES VOTER

Kevin McCollough on why McCain is toast.  (note:  I don’t like much of what McCollough says.  I think he is a prime example of conservatives gone wild at times.)

And a prime example of why I have a problem.  McCullough is constantly preaching to the “Values Voter”.  Unfortunately these self-proclaimed ‘values voters’ are the ones who put the Dems in control, just to teach the GOP a lesson.  Sorry, I don’t need this kind of education.  Something like this would make me vote for McCain if I weren’t supporting Giuliani!

“…John McCain has spent a good deal of time and resources attempting to convince faith-based conservatives that he is the real deal in recent months. Hiring an evangelical blogger to argue his case, appearing at Jerry Falwell’s Liberty University, and seeking audiences with other evangelicals, McCain has attempted to say to the GOP’s most valued voting block that he is one of us. It is interesting that the one statement reveals consistency in McCain’s character in two ways – yet neither of them helpful. If McCain were serious in his efforts to reach the faith-based voter, taking God’s name in vain is a stupid thing to do. Evangelicals, Catholics, even serious Jews all believe that God’s name is sacred and combining it with the idea of hellish damnation is in fact defamation to the Creator….McCain of course is only one of the problematic three that are all facing tremendous uphill battles in aspiring to be the party’s mantle bearer. Guiliani fiscally strong and far more consistent in his politics day to day – but is firmly entrenched on the wrong side of the abortion and marriage debates to win any or all of the bible-belt states. Romney is right on the issues, yet his own faith of Mormonism is scary, strange, and apostate to the same block of voters that McCain and Guiliani have also spurned.”

Darn it, now I know what I want my rant to be and I need to leave for church.  Quickly, McCullough is a prime example of what my grandfather always said, “Won’t say shit even if he had a mouthful”.  These Values Voters are so darn busy imposing their view of the world on the GOP that they have basically opened the country up to the likes of Nancy I.  I was hoping they had learned a thing or two in the past few days, but obviously not.

First, I do not like the “GD” word and have never in my life used it.  I am constantly amazed at the ignorance of even educated people.  When this word is seen, they think someone is damning God.  Problem is, that is not what the phrase is all about.  It is a very medieval phrase designed to bring forth the very wrath of heaven upon a person.  The original phrase was, “May God Damn (insert name) to hell.”  Big difference.

Getting back to the ‘Values Voter’ – I don’t know about you but I am getting tired of their self-serving righteous attitude where they look down their noses at everyone else they consider of a lesser spiritual entity. Funny thing about that, but C. S. Lewis once wrote that he felt the worst sin a Christian could commit is one of spiritual pride and superiority.  Isn’t this what we are seeing in the ‘Values Voter’ – intense spiritual pride?

Is this spiritual pride going to cost us a major loss in the War on Terror?  Think about it. Is this spiritual pride going to cost the most qualified person the White House and open the door for someone who will violate the sanctity of the United States in order to appease liberal sensibilities?

Pride goes before a fall.

PRIMARIES 2008:  Is Algore planning to run?  Eye on 2008 says Rudy may be getting cold feet.  They are quoting the Political Insider. Guiliani's businesses. I don't know about you, but I am starting to see Giuliani being treated the way GWB was by not only the MSM but also the 'conservative' media.  They are patronizing and treating him with little respect.  To me this shows these people are terrified of him and would do anything to marginalize him as a candidate.  Why? Read Race42008 on the subject. I think there is something else going on here.  If Giuliani is anything like I think he is, I wonder if he isn't just going to do his own thing when he wants to do it.  The thing I like is the fact that he isn't pandering to the values voter of the right.  Maybe it is wishful thinking, but I just don't see the much hooplawed Romney 'juggernaut'.  His national numbers just don't show it.  Hugh Hewett may put Romney at the top of his list, but Hewitt would vote for the Ghost of Saddam if he pandered to the right the right way.
