Well, the kittens are trying to move around. The little red and the calico are the ones who ‘swim’ outside of their safe house. Strange, but these are the two I am most concerned about. Mommy kitty is keeping Rumsfeld under control. It is quite funny.
Try this one, thanks to the Attack Machine. John Conyers and HRES288IH from 2005. I think it is good to know your enemy. And - I think John Conyers is an enemy of the American People.

Blackfive on the replacement for General Casey, General Petraeus. Evidently, from what I am reading, this is one cool, tough dude. Tigerhawk on the change.
Barney Franks thinks the President is guilty of genocide. Speaking of genocide, diplomats are calling for peacekeeping troops in Somalia. Is the Ayatolla Khameni dead or alive? Blog Lizard's take. Curt from Flopping Aces on the situation in

The Brits should bow to Islamic values. I had it yesterday, but you need to see it again.
I think one of the things that has shocked me is the fact that some otherwise well educated men, including Rush, are absolutely shocked to discover that women who achieve power are ruthless. Where the heck have they been? It doesn’t matter where that power is – business, school, home, political – women are ruthless in dealing with their opposition. Let’s face it, we need to go back to that old discredited evolutionary theory of survival of the fittest. If a woman wanted her children to survive, she had to be absolutely ruthless in order to insure that survival. Go back through history and list the very few women who both achieved and held on to power. The only way they did so was to be completely and absolutely ruthless and to play the political game much better then the men around them. The perfect example is Elizabeth I.
In an Oh My Gosh I think I will gag – try this headline from SF. “Celebrating the Most Powerful Italian Since Caesar”. Once the gag reflex has kicked in and been overcome, think about it. What happened to the Caesars? What a perfect analogy! Caligula, Nero, Claudius…I’m loving it! Nancy's purges. And the Daily Kos take. (warning liberal humor - is there such a thing?)
We all knew it would only be a matter of moments before Her Royal Majesty Nancy I was telling the President (after all she outranks him) how to run the war in

J. R. Dunn’s piece in today’s American Thinker
“…Hegemonism is the doctrine holding that every American action on the international stage should be examined under suspicion of evil intent. And what does it foresee occurring in
This is no trivial question. Hegemonist doctrine is a major factor in the rush toward abandonment of American responsibilities in the
…We do know that the impulse behind it is the hegemonist doctrine. No other force is keeping the
It follows that the hegemonist doctrine has to go. This is a dogma that has no beneficial aspect. It presents itself as infinitely virtuous while enabling the most evil aspects of the era. (The majority of its adherents - the kind of leftists who have adopted the label of "liberal" - would no doubt be deeply offended to hear that they are supporters of the Khmer Rouge and the Rwandan murderers -- but there's no ducking this.) It is accepted without thought or consideration, as simply the way educated people think. It is a doctrine that inveigles decent individuals to turn their backs on grotesque suffering, to shut the blinds and close their ears when they hear screams of pain and terror out in the darkness, in the conviction that the police are, if anything, worse than the rapists and murderers…’
Finally, something concrete about the real good embryonic stem cells actually do – please note my sarcasm. It comes from Julia Gorin .
“…Indeed, last month's sweeping Democratic victory could spell a victory for embryonic stem cell research as well. It's especially important because Fox apparently has decided that having Parkinson's Disease isn't enough for him, and that he also needs the brain tumor that embryonic stem cells create. Recall a study published in the journal Neurology in 1996, in which a Parkinson's patient in China was implanted with embryonic and fetal stem cells. The subject's brain grew bone, skin, and hair — essentially a Siamese twin — killing the man…Stem cells from aborted fetuses were also once thought to be a promising avenue for treating neurological disorders. But in 2001 the New England Journal of Medicine reported on a U.S. study in which patients implanted with fetal stem cells started to writhe and twist about, jerking their heads and flinging their arms, chewing constantly, flexing and distending their wrists, and moving their fingers up and down. One subject reacted so negatively that he now needed a feeding tube (and we know where that leads).
If the Democrats are right, one day healthy embryos will revitalize old men, who will start to feel great again, take Viagra and start cheating on their wives with younger women, impregnating them with their mutated sperm — which increases schizophrenia risk and causes less healthy children in general — leading to more sicklings clamoring for more embryonic stem cell research. Embryonic stem cell research is already improving the economies of third-world countries like the
From John Fund in today’s Opinion Journal’s Political Diary: Please take note that those new Dem congresspersons who campaigned as ‘conservatives’ and conned good Republicans, Libertarians and conservatives into voting for them have already begun to march lock-step with the liberals. I TOLD YOU SO! They have already voted with HRM
“Yesterday, the new House Democratic majority pushed through its package of rules which will govern that body for the next two years. A key rule put in place by the old Republican majority provided that a three-fifths majority of the House was required to raise taxes. Democrats opened up a canyon-size loophole in the rule on Thursday by changing the rule to allow it to be dropped by a simple majority vote.
When Republicans sought to restore the original three-fifths requirement, every Democrat voted against the proposal. Among those voting against the taxpayer protection provision were 20 members who in the past had supported a Constitutional amendment requiring a two-thirds supermajority to raise taxes, a much more stringent provision. But that was then, the next election is two years away and now Democrats have power back.
Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform, believes that the actions of the Democratic majority on their opening day are a clear indication of their true intentions. "After spending an entire year on the campaign trail claiming she will not raise taxes, the first vote Nancy Pelosi brings to the floor for a vote as Speaker will open the door to billions and billions of dollars of tax increases," he said.
I love a political feeding frenzy, esp. when it is Dems devouring their own. Terry McAuliffe has accused John Kerry of ‘political malpractice”.
In the only in Florida chapter – a woman’s bra stopped a bullet. Must have had a lot of padding.

My brother-in-law went to town to get water for the cattle but the city wouldn't allow it as they were out of electricity and needed the water for the folks in town.
