Have you noticed how much the MSM, Dems and some members of the GOP enjoy kicking GWB when they think he is down?

 

 

The one thing I’ve always noticed about GWB is when he goes in with lowered expectations he usually hits it out of the ballpark, just like tonight.  I thought his explanation of why we are fighting was right no.  To bad the Dems aren’t morally honest enough to admit to it.  I feel so sorry for this man.  When he walked into the chamber I just wanted to cry.  I thought of Julius Caesar and the Ides of March when he walked into the Senate only to be knifed in the back by his best friends.  There are times when I think some members of the GOP are just out to knife him in the back to show them just who is who!  The thing I admire and respect most about this man is his ability to just keep on keeping on.  He is gracious, even in defeat.  He smoozes with the Dems who would stab him in the back.  He just makes these people look bad, just plain bad. 

 

Several RIGHT bloggers today were basically celebrating the fact that he is ‘finished’, irrelevant, no longer important. The Dems and the MSM have been crowing about this for weeks.  They point to his terribly bad poll numbers, falsely created, lies.  I go back to my premise that the American people are basically quite fair.  One of these days, because this great and decent man is about as low as you can go, politically, the American people are going to realize he has been treated so terribly unfair.  When this happens, their reaction ain’t gonna be pretty.  I wouldn’t want to be seating in HRM Nancy I’s catbird seat when they do. 

 

I go back to the fact that this man loves the Lord.  When you have the Lord, you are the Majority.  I know he is doing what is right and honorable in this war for civilization.  He is fighting the good fight.  There is a basic sense of right and wrong in this world.  He is doing what is right and being treated like he is wrong.  There’s an old saying, what goes around, comes around.  Legacy, he doesn’t need no stinkin’ legacy, he’s a living legacy.  One day his legacy will be freedom and peace, then he will be recognized for his humble greatness.

You need to read The Gates of Vienna about the plight of a handful of illegal aliens residing in Mexico.  Oh, they are from Iraq, and should head over our border, with luck.  Scary right, well, they are illegal.  The big problem here is the RIGHT is so concerned with illegal aliens they can’t see the truth.  This is a CHRISTIAN family fleeing Islamic terror.  Do we have it in them to embrace them and offer them safety and security, or are they just dirty illegal aliens?  Right now th ey are languishing in no man’s land waiting to be deported back to a land where they will be killed. 

 

 Evidently Bishop Peter Akinola  of Nigeria over-stepped, or should I say, stepped in it when he violated tradition that has been in effect since the 4th Century that states a bishop shall not infringe on another’s diocese, which is precisely what he did when he established ‘missions’ here in the US for break-away dioceses. According to the Windsor Report, he cannot do this, and must ‘repent’.  The question is whether or not the spineless Archbishop of Canterbury is going to discipline Akinola during the meeting in Tanzania.  Our dear Bishop Akinola has also threatened to take his little purple wagon and not play with everyone else because the Presiding Bishop of the ECUSA is going to be attending the meeting. 

No, I don’t approve of her.  I think she is far too liberal.  But, I’m not going to advocate splitting a church over yet another liberal.  If this denomination can weather Bishop Spong, it can deal with anything, can’t it?  Of course I don’t know which is worse, Spong or Akinola.  Both are extremes.

  

Polls are a very funny thing.  Take the batch I mentioned yesterday.  I think the only way to truly express the way I feel about them is to use my grandfather Froehlich’s favorite term.  They are full of papa cow excrecia.  Anyone who thinks a poll that gives more weight to Democrat and independent responders is full of just that. That much touted CBS poll asked a total of 931 of the above and only 292 Republicans.  Now we all know I’m nothing but a dyslexic kindergarten drop out, but anyone with half a brain knows that a poll where 639 more Dems and independents were asked is just that – full of you know what.  The worst part is now everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. Flopping Aces has picked up on the same thing I have.

 

So I’m angry.  It doesn’t take an idiot to admit that the past two presidential elections have been so close they were almost tied.  That says we are at a 47-47 state in this country.  So why the H-E – double toothpick don’t they do the polls that way?  Why?  It’s simple.  If polls were done in a decent, honorable manner George W. Bush would be around 46-47% which is where he always is.  He will never get past that because the Dems, left, and MSM hate him to the point that it is pathological.  There comes a time when deception because of political hatred becomes something more.  As in the AP

 

I don’t know about you, but I think General Petraeus  made the cut and run Republicans in both the House and the Senate look like flying monkeys today during his testimony on the Hill.  I think Malkin is completely wrong on immigration, but is right on with Iraq. 

 

I was wondering about HRM Nancy I's expression, she looked a little POed.  Wizbang picked up on it, so it wasn't just me.  Also, you gotta read the commentary - hilarious.

Deroy Murdock has an interesting NRO column on Giuliani and abortion.  = Funny, but the quote he uses to show how Giuliani is inconsistent – not really – on abortion sounds exactly like something I’ve said at one time or another. 

 “I don’t like abortion,” Giuliani said in South Carolina’s The State newspaper last November 21. “I don’t think abortion is a good thing. I think we ought to find some alternative to abortion, and that there ought to be as few as possible.”

 

I think this is exactly the sentiment of most reasonable anti-abortion people.  I don’t like it.  I think it is, at times, murder.  I think there needs to be a way around it and as few as possible.  I also am humane enough to know

 

Ankle Biting Pundits proved exactly – my comments yesterday about false crime stats being promoted by the Tanton backed anti-immigration organizations.  I agree the situation mentioned is deplorable – the illegal who is using the laws to keep from being prosecuted for molesting a child.  I do think mandatory federal sentencing guidelines and declaring child molestation a hate crime would go a long way to ending this problem.  Written into the law should be the fact that an alien, here legally or illegally, should be required to serve his full sentence before being deported.  That would solve the problem.  You also need to note the fact that illegal immigrants who are pedophiles are a little less, 2%, than our ‘legally’ born population – 1-5%.  So the anti-immigration crime stats just don’t wash. 

 

The big problem with the anti-immigration people is they think cutting off illegal immigration will end our problem with terrorists coming into the US.  Unfortunately, just as I’ve been saying and as AJ Strata pointed out today in his blog,  those who have done us the most damage have come into the US legally.  The latest information from those captured Al Qaeda documents show that they plan to utilize student visas. 

 

I don’t mind admitting this is what has bothered me all along – terrorists coming in under the guise of students.  This is where we are the most vulnerable.  We give a big wide arm welcome and bear hug to students coming in who would fit the profile of terrorists, but we cannot profile them, ergo, according to the requirements CAIR has placed upon the willingly stupid political class.  Instead, the anti-immigration anti-Hispanic race monger want to spend all our time, energy, and resources tracking those dastardly Spanish speaking individuals who, by a very large majority, are just decent people trying to survive and get ahead.  The dirty little secret is it is perfectly acceptable to profile anyone who is or appears to be Hispanic.  They are the enemy.  Islamic terrorists are not. 

 

Isn’t there something wrong with this picture?  I wanted to say the same people who are so determined to support the war in Iraq are the most vocal about closing off our borders, but then I realized that quite often they are not the same.  Funny isn’t it?  One group wants to just close everything down and go inward, the other wants to stand up and fight for our future.  Both are conservative.

Note to Dems, no matter what you say or do, GWB is in charge until Rudy Giuliani takes the oath of office on January 20, 2009.  Your constant lack of respect is getting old.  It’s starting to make you guys look bad.  Same thing with the break away Republicans in the House and Senate.  You look like two-faced cowards.

 

Republicans Gone Bad! I really dislike agreeing with Hugh Hewitt, but he is right on the money with this one.  Those Republicans in both the House and the Senate who broke with the President over the war, after reading some really bad poll  numbers, are going to be in for some very serious problems.  Republicans are elephants.  We NEVER forget – especially treachery when the stakes are so very high and our entire civilization is endangered over their contemptible and cowardly actions.
