Are we on the verge of seeing a Giulini-Gingrich Dream Team?
PLEASE NOTE – I’ve finally lost it – fowl (word used specifically) language used repeatedly because of bird brained dimwit liberal twits who don’t a flying rip about the fate of this nation!
On O’Reilly this evening, he has some little liberal cut and run twit Civil Right’s Attorney who was trying to defend Barbara Boxer. She goes on to say the big problem with “Bush’s War” is the fact that the American people have not been asked to sacrifice for this war. (Please, if fowl language disturbs you – sorry but) What the hell are these stupid terror supporting freaks talking about now?
I just don’t get it.
Evidently if Americans don’t have children who are in
Why the hell does the President need to ask Americans to make sacrifices?
What the hell do they want?
In other words if you don’t have a child in the war, or a loved one then you have no say.
I’ve lost it, I’ve finally lost it. Who on earth are these people, anyway? Can we ship them off to some lalaland fantasy Islamic island where they will be forced to down burkas and live life like an oppressed Islamic woman? Have these dimwit (I gotta stop using that word) twits so lost the argument, so run out of talking points that the only way they can now legitimize their treason lobby pro al-Qaeda don’t give a damn about the fate of this nation is by attacking the Secretary of State because she is not married and has no children?
Oh, wait, I know…Condi needs to go out and get pregnant and come up with some little illegitimate no-neck bastard (what illegitimate children were once called). Then, why then she would be considered an appropriate role model. Maybe she needs to remove certain portions of her unmentionables and pose for photos in Vegas like
Okay, I’m getting a grip….I just can’t believe now we need to sacrifice.
You know, we do. We need to sacrifice our liberal anti-war freaked out pro enemy anti-American, MSM and liberals. You know, I could get to like sacrifice. Let the liberals sacrifice their anti-war attitudes and give up their pro Al Qaeda leanings. I get it, I finally get it. See, we’re not so dumb.
It’s like this. I’m single. I don’t have children. Right now I don’t know when I have been so insulted and I can’t do a blasted thing about it because none of these liberal Dems are in my state or district. Drat! Maybe we need to get people to change their place of residency just long enough to vote some of these treasonous freaks out of office.
I promise, I will calm down.
Let’s talk about something pleasant, like the weather, or Little Buddy who is spraying all over my work area. Sure smells a heck of a lot better than the stinking appeasement lobby Dems!
Mommy cat has calmed down a bit. Little Buddy is in a state. I swear he knows I am looking for a new home for him. I have notices with three vets, trying to find him a home. He needs to be an only child. Sometime this morning he was in a snit and sprayed somewhere around my work area. I can’t find it. I have looked everywhere, and have drenched the whole room in anti-cat odor spray. The little ones are walking! I think Mommy wants them to start eating on their own. Even the little ginger one is starting to walk better. The sandy colored twins are trying to play. They are the size of small guinea pigs! The calico and little ginger are half their size. I am wondering if it were possible for Mommy cat to get pregnant twice and different times. I know of no other explanation. It is like there are two different litters, with the sandy colored ones being a week old for their age and the calico and ginger being a week preemie. And don’t forget the Pet Prayer & Praise blog. Why am I so full of Praise? I just discovered I probably have the only litter of adoptable kittens in the area right now! YES! I can pick and choose who they now go to. Unfortunately I am thinking about keeping the little ginger, since he is developmentally disabled. The little sandy ones are going to be gorgeous.

Sometimes you shudder about the place where you grew up, then other times you’re just plain proud of it. Right now, I’m just plain proud of Oconee County for standing up to the ACLU. I know many of the parties involved, once co-hosting a radio show with Wayne Morton. Frank Ables, mentioned, is related to my father’s late business partner. Now you know why Lindsey Graham is the way he is. These people are so darn ‘independent’ and don’t tread on me that they are willing to take on the ACLU just to prove a point. Don’t ever make the mistake of thinking they will turn on Lindsey.
Harold Hutchison over at Called As Seen emailed me today about a blog that tracks pedophiles. Check out the posting they have on stats about molested children. Warriors for Innocence is a little rough and not for the faint of heart, but you need to read it. / Then there is Absolute Zero run by Chris Brocius (a distant relative of infamous Curly Bill Brocius of
And Praise the Lord! Two missing boys have been found alive. I won’t say they are well, because they are going to need years of therapy, but at least one more pedophile has been picked up. See Gateway Pundit

Want another Dynamic Duo? Try Giuliani & Gingrich – now that’s a dream team! I’m wondering…? They have co-authored an op-ed in today’s Opinion Journal. There have been theories that the way for Giuliani to get ahead quickly is to announce his VP and choose a conservative. He could completely smash everyone with Gingrich. Is this the beginning of a beautiful relationship? (Okay, I’m just dreaming).
TANCREDO WATCH
We haven’t visited TT lately. Have you wondered what our favorite bigot and anti-Hispanic RIGHT conservative GOP racist is up to? Well, he opposes the Prez’s plans to send in more troops to
Wait, I thought he was a good Republican. Well…he’s a Pat Buchanan Republican…get it? And what about the Blessed Border Barrier he wants? Try EPluribusMedia - (You see, this is one subject where I would rather trust liberals with numbers because 90% of the stats conservatives have come from a Tanton based organization and are not accurate.) Oh Lord, those rumors about TT running for the Senate on ’08 may be true. Just what we need, another RIGHT bust-head in the Senate. Caucus Cooler says he’s heading to

As well you know I do not like Newsmax. Fortunately the Dick Morris columns appear elsewhere, so it is difficult for Newsmax to screw them up all that much. This one is a must read about the looming Dem civil war. I agree, but we’re seeing the same thing with the GOP.

MY MINIMUM WAGE RANT
Why opposing a minimum wage hike is a bad idea and will come back to haunt the GOP. Yes, I know it is inflationary, but I just wish, for once, the RIGHT minded conservatives would use their heads and a little common sense. Take this American Thinker piece by Steven Warshawsky.
“…True, minimum wage laws represent a more explicit form of economic redistribution, by mandating that a somewhat larger share of business revenues be paid to low-wage workers. But after adjusting for inflation, the real purchasing power of the current minimum wage is at its lowest level since 1955. Is it really so terrible to raise the actual value of the federal minimum wage? Why? Other than the seemingly fetishistic insistence on the standard economic case against the minimum wage (e.g., see here for Richard Posner's overheated claim that raising the federal minimum wage would be "a grave mistake"), what arguments are there? We live in a political-economic environment in which there are numerous laws that redistribute income and numerous regulations that impact on business. Unless one were to take the position that all such laws and regulations are invalid -- a position that I believe to be philosophically and politically untenable -- then it strikes me as very strange indeed to draw a line in the sand when it comes to the federal minimum wage. …”
There are times when I feel like using Algore’s patronizing tone when addressing the RIGHT minded people. I live in a small resort town where the wage standard is so low the average person is working not one, but THREE, count ‘em THREE jobs, none of them full time, and all of them at minimum wage. People here work at least 50-60 hours a week and cannot keep their heads above water. Why? Here, employers pay minimum wage, and we’re not talking just about start-up positions, kids, or illegals. (I know for a fact a few illegals here are making more than what legal workers are making). People here who are in their fifties, and have worked for a company or small business for ten years are making minimum wage. Why? No one is paying more than that. When I worked for the Episcopal church here, I had one of the highest paying part time jobs in town. Thing is, in a place like Memphis, what I was making for part time, was close to part time teenage mall worker! It is almost like there is this conspiracy or unwritten law that people here pay no more than minimum wage. I know for a fact that cooks here, unless they are a ‘chef’ are being paid about $9.00 an hour. Can you believe it? Then, once a ‘chef’ settles into a place, as soon as other lower wage workers are trained, they are out the door. I also know this for a fact.
When you add the fact that because we are in a resort town and Don Brewer, of Brewer Oil, has a virtual monopoly on gasoline, we’re paying about $2.29 a gallon. Housing here is terribly expensive. I live in the most inexpensive, upscale development in the entire county. I still don’t understand why our prices are so low. If my unit were about 5 miles away from where it is, it would sell for – and I’m not kidding - $375,000. I paid $65,000 for it 9 years ago. The average home price here is about $500,000. The average person her lives in seriously sub-standard housing, and they consider themselves lucky. If you were to put the ‘middle class’ housing here up against ‘middle class’ housing in say, Atlanta, Tucson, West Palm Beach, we would be talking low-rent housing.
I can afford to drive 78 miles to
Now the good thing about this is that people doing house cleaning charge either $50 a job or $10 an hour. Because they are making double what 75% of regular workers are here in the region, just about everyone has a cleaning woman – and we’re talking good, decent, upper middle class people who are making big money. A minimum wage person here pulls down about $60 a day. A good, organized cleaning woman is pulling in $150. The people here I feel sorriest for are the nearly full-time or benefits workers at Wal-Mart. They are on such irregular schedules here, and paid much lower (I know this for a fact) than they are in Wal-Marts just 50 miles from here that they are truly impoverished, almost slave workers. If there were no minimum wage here in Ruidoso, people here would be truly suffering.
I never lived in a region where the average person was given the ‘shaft’ like they are here. I love it here. Ruidoso and Lincoln County are always in the top ten resort communities in the west, to live permanently. What is rather strange here is while gas is terribly expensive, and housing is off the chart, you can get absolutely gorgeous jewelry at very low prices. People here have scads of jewelry the same person in say NYC would never be able to afford. We have a very slow pace of life and are in many ways sheltered from the outside world. The wealth of
Consequently, the ‘average’ person her has a very difficult time of it. They live well, but far less extravagantly than the ‘average wage’ person in a ‘normal community. People here who are working three part time jobs, couples will have five – six jobs between them. They can afford to eat out maybe once every few weeks, if they are lucky – and we’re talking McDonalds or Taco
If it weren’t for minimum wage, people here would be in serious trouble.
Primaries 2008: Caucus Cooler says Tancredo is on his way to
I posted this over at Called As Seen today. Harold Hutchison commented on yesterday's Pink Flamingo posting I truly have a problem with Romney. It has nothing to do with his changing his opinion on things. People are allowed to change. I’ve truly undergone a complete change of opinion over the death penalty, but it was out of conscience. I’ve even had a change of the way I approach gay marriage this past year because of a gay couple I know. If I thought Romney’s changes of opinion were out of conscience and not political expediency I would not have a problem. Unfortunately, I just don’t see it. There are several things that alarm me about him. I think he is vindictive – if that is the word I want to use. He ‘feuds’ with people. This bothers me. I also do not like what I see in the ashes of the state’s GOP. I see him as the GOP version of Bill Clinton.
When he was running the Olympics a few years ago, I was quite impressed with him and thought he had a great political future, so I am not coming at my concerns about him from a bias. I did not have a problem with him. The thing that truly turned me against him was that morning in August when the
