Looks like I made up for yesterday’s lack of anything to say.  Today I have so much to rant and rave about and comment about that I need to pace myself.  Too bad it is all so timely or I could save a few comments for another day when I am brain dead!  FYI – I still have one box of ornaments to put on the tree.  I was bidding on a 1991 Hallmark Enterprise NCC-1701 ornament but refused to go above $150 so I lost out on it.  I love turning my tree on at the switchbox.  I have it rigged so it sounds like mission control or a shuttle launch or something complete with launch noises!

My whole take on the Iraq Study Group is this:  I am sick and tired of people treating the President like dirt.  He is the President of the United States.  As far as I can tell, when one considers his MBA from Yale and the fact that he has a higher GPA than John Kerry who is considered ‘quite bright’ then why treat GWB like he is the village idiot?  Listening to the press conference when the paper was presented I was disgusted at the total lack of respect the MSM showed toward the President.  Where does it end?  Oh, yea, with the complete destruction of the Bush family.  Let’s also fact the fact that one of the reasons they are after GWB so much right now is to destroy any family legacy so that Jeb will not be able to “Run”.

Would someone please tell me why Rush Limbaugh has it in for my friend, Senator Lindsey Graham, the Senior Senator from South Carolina?  Rush is constantly denigrating, insulting, and making fun of Lindsey, who is, in my humble and (biased) opinion one of the finest men who has ever served in Washington.  He is decent.  He is honorable.  And, he loves this country.  I heard Lindsey on Cavuto this afternoon.  He was ranting and raving over the Iraq report.  Lindsey sounded much like Rush, so why does Rush constantly attack him to the point where it seems obvious Limbaugh is seriously trying to destroy Lindsey’s reputation and his increasing status as a true statesman.  What’s going on here?  Is Rush Limbaugh jealous of Lindsey Graham.  Let’s face the fact that Lindsey is one of the great American success stories Rush loves to highlight.

Would someone please tell me why this is not “conservative”?

“…Graham said he sees the war in Iraq as being directly related to the war on terrorism, saying Muslim extremists in the Middle East are viewing a U.S. withdrawal in Iraq as a U.S. withdrawal from affairs in the region. “My solution to this mess, and it is a mess, is to increase military presence in Iraq for the short term,” Graham said. “We’ve made a catalog of mistakes in Iraq, and I take responsibility for that. But we have to help control the violence there now if we have any hope for democracy there in the long run.” Graham said he believes the armed forces in the U.S. today are the most talented in the nation’s history, adding dedicated volunteers are and will continue to be more effective than if individuals were drafted into a campaign they didn’t want to participate in. Graham also addressed the issue of immigration, admitting that the broken borders between the U.S. and Mexico are a problem, but also saying fixing them won’t fix the problem of unaccounted-for illegal immigrants. “You can build a wall 100 feet high, and people will still find way to get here,” Graham said. “You can’t underestimate the attraction of making $5 an hour instead of 50 cents a week.” Graham said he supports regulating the work practices of illegal immigrants, registering them for identification cards and instructing them in English so they may be more productive. Graham also addressed the United States’ place in the global economy. “Business owners in this state aren’t worried about competing against North Carolina and Georgia,” Graham said. “They’re worried about competing with China and India. But we have to work towards initiatives that will help us in the global economy, whether it is a national sales tax or a flat tax or what have you.” Graham said he is confident many of the problems the United States faces can be rectified. “I believe, as many of you do, that many problems can be solved if good people stand up for what is right in the face of adversity,” Graham said. “Many of the obstacles this country has faced, from Hitler to Mussolini, were overcome because our desire to do good outweighed their desire to do evil.”…”

According to the Opinion Journal we have been dialoguing with Iran and Syria already yet.

The surf in Honolulu is expected to be 28 feet today.  Wild and weird!

Over at Blog Lizards they are complaining that their hits are down.  So are mine.  Granted I’ve been traveling, but even over the Thanksgiving holidays I put out some great stuff that really needs to be read.  I have a feeling it is the fact that the election is over and we are sailing into the Christmas season.  I know for me it is getting to be difficult to make a half-way decent posting and get things done, and keep up with my Blog Critics articles, speaking of which, I’ve posted a new one over there.  And yes, it is highly autobiographical!

Ankle Biting Pundits has a very interesting piece about a ‘long time advisor to Jimmy Carter’ quitting over allegations that Carter may have well – you gotta read it.

Wow, this gives me a great opening to promote one of my more recent books TRAVESTY:  Frank Waters’ Earp Agenda Exposed.  (Shameless self-promotion follows).  This 528 page book with around 2300 footnotes took me nearly 4 yeas to write, edit, and re-write.  It is what it says, an expose of uber-liberal Frank Waters, nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature five times (count ‘em).   About 10 years ago I discovered the original  manuscript for the Waters’ “Classic” The Earp Brothers of Tombstone (or EBOT as we call it).   Anyone who has studied the life of Wyatt Earp or knows anything about Tombstone knows the books is nothing but a pack of lies.  Because of Waters’ alleged status as a leading mind and writer of the 20th Century we must take his words at face value.  No one ever bothers to see if he is telling the truth – which he is not.  Funny thing, if you are interested in purchasing TRAVESTY for $29.99 and $4.50 for priority shipping, you can read how one of the great liberal bastions of the New Age and Native American Movements created a bright and shining lie.  It is the perfect example of how the liberal MSM works.  To order a copy, email me.

The Vatican thinks they may have discovered the remains of St. Paul.   Okay, this one gives you chills.

It’s a Scary World.   AJ Strata, over at Strata Sphere has been doing probably the best work on the web about the whole Litvinenko incident.  He seems to be associating the death of the former KGB spy with the possibility that Litvinenko was up to no good by facilitating the movement of radioactive material for possible use by Islamic terrorists.  Then, today, Strata came up with the fact that Ahmadinejad has given the West the traditional Islamic “Convert or Else” ultimatum.  Strata links to an article in the Daily Telegraph.

To me the bottom line here is the MSM in this country is completely ignoring the fact that we are in a fight for the very survival of our civilization and culture.  The other day, while my friend’s fifteen year old daughter was helping me decorate my Christmas Tree (okay I was bribing her with fifty bucks), the Costner version of Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves came on one of the movie channels.  (FYI, I really don’t care what you say, I liked the movie).  In a movie that could not be made today because we would be insulting Islam, at the beginning of the film prisoners were being butchered by having their right hands cut off for stealing food.  Costner’s Robin Hood was next in life.  He stoically marches to his punishment, “This is  how an Englishman…” (I forget the rest of the line.)  I pointed the situation out to Sammi and explained this was taking place in the late 1100s but yet the culture of Islamic Shiria law has not changed.  Our Western Culture has evolved into something we consider highly civilized but would be barbaric to inhabitants of the planet Vulcan.  We have progressed.  They have not.  Unfortunately it is that simple.

I am not the best person to even comment on the Iraq Study whatever.  Check with Little Green FootballsPowerline has an excellent commentary also.

The Iraq Study whatever is NOT the most important news of the day.  It is grabbing the headlines, but the absolutely huge, incredible news…Water was flowing on the surface of Mars at least five  years ago.    The implications of this discover are enormous.  Not only does it make the continued search for life terribly important but it also has implications for long-term human settlement on the Red Planet.  If you have water, you have within it the building blocks of oxygen and hydrogen.

Note to Blackberry users, tapping on device while driving in traffic can cause accidents.  Trust me, I tried. Emailing at a stop light isn’t recommended either.  Tried that, also.

Kung Fu Quip has an excellent commentary on our do nothing GOP House.  Try the Fetus Pain Bill – yep, the Fetus Pain Bill.  Talk about pandering to social conservative values voter!

Harold Hutchison over at Called As Seen has a great piece about the potential for a Pelosi Train Wreck.  I keep telling you, stay tuned, this is going to be fun to watch!

Primary Roundup:

According to Caucus Cooler, Romney is looking good in IowaRace42008 has Rudy putting a methodical campaign together.  Stolen Thunder has an excellent ‘reason’ why Obama will never be elected Prez – unless he is a governor or  VP.     Giuliani Blog has made a fascinating observation.  “Conservatives” who are still standing by the President are in Giuliani’s court.

Race42008 also has the following based on recent poll numbers.  Bottom line, Gingrich and Romney don’t have a prayer.

“…Unfortunately for Gingrich and Romney, who score in league with ousted Sen. Allen, there seems to be little support amongst the general populace for their candidacies.  With nearly identical name recognition levels, Romney only scores a hair better than Allen, whose career was tarnished by oddity after scandal after oddity this summer, which eventually led to his untimely removal from his post by the people of Virginia.  And further reinforcing my opinions about the incredible weakness of a Gingrich presidential candidacy, surprisingly, Newt has higher negatives than either Allen or Kerry, the highest of the whole lot in fact, with almost 4 out of 5 Americans not wanting to see him around in ‘08.  While Newt makes for a great lecturer and congressperson, my opinion that he would be a terrible presidential candidate is only becoming continually reinforced by his lackluster performance on the campaign trail and his even more lackluster poll numbers.  He will definitely be a policy bulwark, but the nomination will never be his, hope as some may….”
