I am disgusted with what I see going on with the Tim Johnson situation.  The man is in critical condition.  His family is a wreck.  Give them a break.  I’ve been there and done that and it is one of the worst times of life.  Trust me, I know.  You really aren’t firing on all thrusters, just working on auto pilot.  It is all you can do to remember the cell phone, get someone to feed the cats, have a list of who you need to call, and try to have a cell charger on hand.

 

Once again I’m back in the kitten business.  There’s at least one.  Harold Hutchison, where are you?  Rumsfeld has already tried poodle-napping one.  I don’t know what I am going to do.  Then I need to do round up (Harold, don’t read this) and catch the last litter for their little birth control program. 

 

Have you done anything about Christmas yet?  I think I’ve done all my shopping.  Now I just need to haul everything out of the Durango that now looks like Santa’s sleigh on acid, and start wrapping.  I dread it.  Add to the fact that my wonderful cleaning woman has decided I need to organize my life (I’m getting writer’s clutter) and I am a wreck.  Things got a little testy today between my parents as they battled over a late lunch, shopping, my father’s pain medication, and UPS.  I finally had enough and let both of them have it (politely of course).  Right now I don’t have time for all this nonsense. I truly feel the real patron saint of Christmas is Scrooge.  This year everyone I know is rushed, having accomplished nothing.  I have a tree up, but that’s about it.  The boxes of cards are piled on the table.  I still need to update my mailing list before I even begin those darn things.  But, I love giving presents to people.  It is the most fun.  I’ve spent months working on a gift for my two best friends.  We are rather like the female Episcopalian Three Stooges.  They both are getting the same thing.  Best part, when I bought stuff for them, I got the same thing for me!  At least we’re going to smell good.

 

There is so much in the way of news I don’t even know how to  keep up with it, blogging and writing for Blog Critics, let alone have time to write.  Something needs to give.  Okay, I know, I keep playing the market over on Blog Shares.  It is highly addictive.

There are things I just don’t get here. Yes, I think we need to do something about illegal immigration, but I am also a logical, thinking pragmatic realist who knows we need to come up with something besides shipping all those ‘Mexicans’ back over the border.  Hard line anti-immigration people have been so sucked in by the John Tanton and Pioneer Fund bigotry and hatred disguised as jingoistic pro-American, security policy they somehow begin to be brain on the subject.  You cannot get them to see reason.  Yes, laws have been broken, but this “They Broke the Law and Must Pay” is getting old and a little transparent.  Everyone breaks the law.  These are just the unfortunates among us.  Is it so difficult to ask that a little compassion and humanity be shown and given to these people.

 

I truly despair for this nation of this continues.  Fortunately polls show the average American does not feel this way, only a few blogging RIGHT conservatives.  I am concerned about the buzz-words they use and the people who are promoting this whole movement.  Very few people are stopping to examine just who is behind all of this.  I think if people did, they would be shocked.  If they are not shocked, there is something truly wrong here.

Novak says McCain is going to be hard to stop. Caucus Cooler has some very important dirt. If true, it is going to forever taint Matt Drudge.  I've  wondered about his hysterical anti-immigration stance.  I swear he literally believes he will be machete to death in his sleep by some dirty illegal Mexican.  Now Caucus Cooler reports that Drudge is quite pro-Romney and seriously anti-McCain and Giuliani.  Considering how influential Drudge is, this is not a good development.  Are McCain and Giuliani going to be submarined by Drudge?  Eyeon2008 keeps up with the Romney flipping and flopping.  They think this flipping and flopping is going to help Brownback. Cute, the Giuliani blog has a posting about Romney's failure to launch! Race42008 has the latest WSJ poll where Edwards would defeat McCain in a national election.  I think we are entering the twilight zone.
