THEY BETRAY THEIR “CONSERVATIVE” IDEALS
I think there is this false perception that I do not like conservatives, and have something against them. In a way that is true. I am conservative. The only change I’ve been through in about 20 years of political evolution is the fact that I am now against the death penalty simply because I am so staunchly pro-life. It is rather ludicrous to be against abortion, but yet want to put criminals to death. It just doesn’t work. Other than that, I am as conservative (maybe a little more) as I was when Reagan was ... more »

THE 'TRUE' CONSERVATIVE AGENDA From Border Fire Report (for what it’s worth) I keep telling you there are many conservatives who are not Republican. These are the individuals who have been doing all the agitating – and we’re not talking Ron Paul Bots. There is a division in the conservative ranks between libertarians, Constitution, and the new conservative party. The problem is these are the yahoos who basically cost the GOP the majority in the House and Senate in 2006. If we aren't careful and marginalize them, this will happen, once again, and could cost John McCain the election. They ... more » Thursday, May 1

THE GREEN DEATH There are now endless Henny-Penny reports that the sky is falling and we are all going to die of starvation. They are “rationing” rice at Wally-World and Costco. They are rationing rice in Israel. (same way as here) Napal is cutting off exports of grain. People in underdeveloped countries are truly suffering. The question is: Are bio-fuels to blame or is it that evil global warming? Or – is all the hype political and designed to help the Dems over the Republicans? Are there reasonable solutions that may simply involve the way third world ... more » Wednesday, April 30

WHY SHOULD I BE FORCED TO ATONE FOR THE SINS OF MY ANCESTORS? Today, Dave at Oricus links to a commentary at Fire Dog Lake about a Peggy Noonan column. I have long ago said the venerable Ms Noonan is not firing on all thrusters. I think this time she has basically driven over a cliff. On April 28 at the WSJ Noonan wrote: “…Main thought. Hillary Clinton is not Barack Obama's problem. America is Mr. Obama's problem. He has been tagged as a snooty lefty, as the glamorous, ambivalent candidate from Men's Vogue, the candidate who loves America ... more »

JUDICIAL WATCH GOES AFTER BIG MAC I’m not a fan of Judicial Watch. I think it is a crock. As if to prove my point, that my theory that certain conservatives are going to do all they can to ruin the man, Judicial Watch pops up and files a FEC Complaint against John McCain.“…“Recent news reports suggest that Sen. John McCain and John McCain for President may have accepted an in-kind contribution from foreign nationals Lord Rothschild OM GBE and the Hon. Nathaniel Rothschild of Great Britain in contravention of federal election laws,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton wrote ... more »

BARACK OBAMA'S LITTLE FRIENDS FIRST, AN I TOLD YOU SO: The Hill reports that Obama is interested in public financing. Race 42008 BARACK OBAMA’S LITTLE FRIENDS This spring I’ve read several excellent books about Narcissists (Is Oprah Starting Her Own Cult) and people with severe personality disorders. I think one of the best is Snakes in Suits (Amazon link below). There is also Without Conscience. I’ve had problems in dealing with Narcissists and psychopaths for the past few months and felt I need to know a little about the subject. Sally Vee (thanks for the articles) sent me... more » Sunday, April 27

THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE OVER THE GOP! It is called Restore the Republic. There is a master plan for Ron Paul Bots to take over the GOP county by county. Everyone has been laughing, saying this can’t happen, but evidently these little freaks are trying to take the GOP away from normal, decent Republicans. And, we’re so Republican, we’re allowing it to happen. The good thing is it looks like they aren't doing all that well. The bad thing is these freaks are organized. They remind me of the critters who couldn't be swatted in some bad sci ... more »

FENCE WOULD CAUSE MAJOR DAMAGE Demands are finally being made to force Michael Chertoff to either resign or be removed from his position as the Secretary of Homeland Security. It is possible the man has a track record of not telling the truth. Last September BLM officials informed Michael Chertoff that the proposed border fence would cause irreparable damage to the fragile San Pedro aquifer and the Riparian sanctuary. Evidently Chertoff LIED about the information the BLM gave to him and just went on as planned, ignoring the Constitution of the US. “…Yet when U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Michael ... more »

THESE ARE THE MINUTEMEN NOTE: I was planning to a piece on the FLDS (I have some new information) but was side-tracked by this story. I think this is something that needs to be told. I know I am telling it one-sided, against the Minutemen in California. But what I have found is so repulsive and so vile it needs to be exposed to the light of day. It is obvious someone is going to cross the line one of these days and shots are going to be fired. I have a feeling it will be a Minuteman or one ... more »

SHERIFF JOE TOSSES BILL OF RIGHTS! “…So much for my speech. The struggle, I fear, is just getting started. Both our Mayor and Police Chief have challenged the Sheriff. Religious leaders, myself included, will soon be publishing an open letter in the paper, legal challenges will be mounted. No matter what your views on immigration or your ideas on how to solve this immensely complex problem, the Sheriff's heavy-handed intimidation is not the way. I hope that you will join with me and others in the religious community who are doing their best to balance the laws of our country ... more »

ANTI-CATHOLIC SENTIMENT SURFACES I think by now any thinking person knows the Puppetmaster, John Tanton, is very anti-Catholic. Somehow I don’t think he is very happy with the visit of the Holy Father. So, he has sent his little minions of darkness out to try and ratchet up anti-immigration sentiment based on anti-Catholic bias. The man uses bias and ‘hate’ as his tools of the trade. His minions adopt his values and his tone. The result – well, you be the judge. I think we now know Tom Tancredo and Michelle Malkin are two of his little flunkies. I think ... more » Monday, April 14

THE CONSERVATIVE TREASON LOBBY Libertarian blogs are buzzing at the possibility that Bob Barr will inflate his ego and run for POTUS, thereby preventing John McCain from winning and thereby allowing a marxist socialist victory. In doing so they will also doom our nation to deplorable SCOTUS appointments and a devastating war with Iran. Or as one suicide bomber conservative breathlessly reports “…Or, as Ronald Reagan said about leaving the Democrat Party, “I didn’t leave the party. The party left me.” There are many voters who feel the same way about today’s Republican party. Those voters could ... more »

HOW MUCH LONGER? How much longer with people in Maricopa County continue to put up with this man and his racist incompetence and virulent vendettas? The man that many misguided conservatives worship as Mr. Law & Order is nothing but a tinplated dictator with delusions of godhood. (Sorry, I stole it from Star Trek). Every week something pops up to simply reinforce this image. Jon Garrido, an confessed Hillary supporter, has been doing some excellent digging into the Maricopa Kounty Keystone Kops and has come up with some very interesting information. Yes, it's that time again - time for a ... more » Thursday, April 3

GIVE IT A REST I was going to hold off on this one, but what the heck, I’m so preachy today let’s see who else we can offend! I’m annoyed with conservatives who are so darn egotistical they don’t think John McCain is pure enough for them. I say annoyed with liberals who are so stupid….anyway – maybe we should have a new category – stupid conservatives.Don’t these people realize if they do not vote for John McCain we are going to be doomed to a Barack Obama administration that will destroy the space program and all that we ... more » Sunday, March 16

LIBERAL ASSOCIATES While we find that Rasmussen has Barack Obama’s numbers going down, from Obama’s performance in Iowa yesterday, it is obvious the rank and file liberal Dem supporter is unfazed. I think the best reference I have for those supporters is a posting Captain Ed did on Hot Air the other day. He mentions how seriously anti-American Obama’s minister, Jeremiah Wright truly is, and also documents something I’d heard the other day, that Oprah is a member of Wright’s church. While these revelations are enough to sink any candidate in the eyes of normal supporters, is it going to ... more »

MALKIN LIES, REASON DIES Once again Malkin goes ballistic over something she knows very little about, but since it says “Mexico” and it might assist Mexico, and all Mexicans are evil, then it is automatically bad. Hot Air waxes poetic because Rush mentions Malkin. Hot Air’s link to Rush. What is even more fascinating is that one of Malkin’s “gods” The Heritage Foundation APPROVES of this move. THE HERITAGE FOUNDATION approves of the Merida Initiative. I guess on Malkin’s part, ignorance is bliss as she continues to harp on what is a very good thing and a long time ... more »

WE MUST ALL FORGIVE This is a funny time of year for me. From about now until the middle of March is when the ‘bad stuff’ happens in my family. During the past three years I’ve lost my beloved Clancy (miniature poodle) Siggy, Brunhilda, GeorgieW, and years ago, my grandparents. Also three years ago starting around the first of March my mother started having severe heart problems that lead to her heart stopping twice. For the next 8 weeks or so I think my family walks on egg-shells. I think I mention this because we’ve come full cycle in ... more » Sunday, February 10

THE BIRTH OF A CULT From the Chris Wallace interview with GWB “…WALLACE: Do you think there's a rush to judgment about Barack Obama. Do you think voters know enough about him?
BUSH: I certainly don't know what he believes in. The only foreign policy thing I remember he said was he's going to attack Pakistan and embrace Ahmadinejad. I think I commented that in a press conference when I was asked about that. WALLACE: I hope not. But so you don't think that we know enough about him or what he stands... WHAT WOULD WASHINGTON DO? “However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.” Among his other attributes, George Washington was a man of vision. He was terribly concerned about the way political parties would eventually degrade into the playground of what he called cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled ... more » Monday, February 4

COULD IT HAPPEN AGAIN? Have you ever wondered about Hitler’s rise to power? I was fortunate enough to have a wonderful history teacher in high school who not only was a student of Nazi Germany, but spent many months as a POW in an Nazi prison camp. He escaped and ended up with Patton’s 3rd Army in Sicily, then through Germany. He spent quite a bit of time on the rise of Nazi Germany because he thought there was a lesson in it. Ian Kershaw’s International Herald Tribune piece. “…The Nazis' surge in popular support (2.6 percent of the vote ... more »

THE REEK OF DESPERATION Dr. Jack Wheeler, the Jack Armstrong of the “Reagan Era” has penned one of the most mendacious pieces of trash I’ve ever seen. Naturally the object of his wrath is John McCain, who is evil and must be destroyed. It doesn’t matter how the Right does it. If they must resort to debunked lies, innuendo, half-truth, and character assassination all’s fair, right? This time Jack Wheeler has a two-fer. Not only does he get to carry out a hit for the mainstream conservative anti-McCain world, but he also gets to spread lies and innuendo about Hillary ... more » Friday, February 1

HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM Today while I was in Starbucks, this college kid who goes to our church, sings in the choir, came in, for some juice. Full disclosure is needed here – he works at a rival coffee shop a few blocks farther down the street. He was very excited over the fact that one of his instructors held a straw poll today – and Barack Obama won every class. I expressed my dismay. He is enamored of Obama, BTW. “What Obama’s ethics problems?” “He has none. Look at the man there now.” “GWB is a Christian.” ... more » Wednesday, January 30

HOW THE FAR RIGHT IS LOSING IT
Once upon a time everyone made fun of Al Gore for being a little upset when he lost the Florida recount. My how things change, yet stay the same. Only this time, the sore losers are the very ones who made the most fun of Al Gore. It is a wonder they do not demand a recount. They are such bad sports and all around spoiled brats I would not be shocked if someone did not suggest it. After all, John McCain does not appeal to the Republican (read “conservative”) base. Why? Well, ... more »
