View Article  An Extremely Long Day
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 29

My day began at 6AM with a quickie blog post.  I had to be at church for Altar Guild by 7AM.  I left there at 9AM, rushed home, picked up Miss Beverly Sills, and carted her down to the vet.  She’s having her big girl surgery this week, along with an extreme manicure.  Then came the post office.  I hurried home, emptied trash, then stopped at the bank and Starbucks along the way to the beauty shop where Leroy spent 2 hours doing a color.  Somewhere along the way I stopped off at my friend Josie’s.  Back ...   more »

HE PROTESTS TOO MUCH ABOUT LOBBYISTS
First things first.  Why is it a sin to criticize Barack Obama?  Or, his this his finely crafted defense.  The man is now so defensive it is obvious he is a very petty little despot who cannot tolerate being contradicted.  It is quite obvious this is NOT the kind of person, Republican or Democrat we want in office.  (Try a liberal’s version of why not to vote for Obama)

The moment Barack Obama is criticized he starts doing the crybaby thing about race.  I have news for Barack Obama, I don’t give a rip ...   more »

THE LITTLE GOVERNOR WHO COULD

Have any of us stopped to think what a great thing Mike Huckabee has done for this country?  I don’t know if you are old enough to remember the old TV series A Family Affair.  There was a little kid on it named Johnny Whitaker, who had a top record, Every Little Boy Should Be President.  During that time frame he also played Huck Finn, which should tell you something of his appearance.

It was adorable, and he made the rounds of all the variety and musical television shows, of which there were many ...   more »

My sister’s Café Eclectic is getting some good reviews!   I also forced her to admit MY IDEA of wireless was a very good idea!  Rhodes Connect

HOW DOES HE GET AWAY WITH IT?
Is Hillary Clinton getting a bum deal from the press or is she (and he) her own worst enemy?  It is quite obvious she is getting slammed by the press who continues to fawn over Barack Obama.  Bill has not helped her. I still don’t know if he is doing it on purpose or because he truly wants her to lose.  It is though the media has simply forgotten her existence.  If John McCain were not challenging Obama on Iraq, I swear he would also be among the Forgotten Candidate.

MORE ICE FUN AND GAMES
I periodically report on the goings on over at ICE.  I would be an idiot to say that all ICE agents were bad.  They are not.  But there are enough rotten apples in the bunch to make the others look bad. If ICE is to be a worthy agency, doing work deporting truly evil individuals and “protecting” the US, then we need to get rid of those agents who are not exactly ready for prime-time.  There are enough reports of things going wrong, of agents ignoring the law, and of prisoner abuse to raise an ...   more »

ABUSE OF POWER

Two weeks ago my mother told me the Dems in Congress would seek to destroy Roger Clemens but let Barry Bonds get out of jail free, so to speak.  I told her she was wrong.  Unfortunately she is right.

I think we have established that Clemens is self-serving and no one really likes him.  I don’t think he deserves this kind of treatment.  A person is innocent until proven guilty. But when does this just start becoming a witch hunt?

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 26

Due to the Democrats I unfortunately used my favorite profanity, a word that deals with a barnyard substance, 4 times.

We’ve had an interesting day.  Thanks to the actions of Rumsfeld and Miss Beverly Sills, I think I was able to sleep for 3 hours last night.  I had to be up early for an appointment in Alamo with the parents.  My mother has been experiencing some serious bleeding in the back of her right eye.  She was to meet with a specialist today.  The initial tests this AM indicated some macular damage to the left eye.  ...   more »

GRANITE (Pig) HEADED CONSERVATIVES

Today Geraldo appeared on Laura Ingraham to promote his new book.  As usual she was her annoying, hard-line anti-immigration self.

Contrary to what Ingraham says about crime, the newest study finds immigrants in CA commit less crime.

Hot Air has the interview….interrogation

(Thanks, Sally Vee)

I think over the past few years my regular readers have noticed that I wax eloquent on the subject of conservatives who have adopted the hard-line anti-immigration stance of some of the worst ‘devils’ of our national character.  I have wondered if these people endorse the same platform of ...   more »

WHY NOT?

A few of you may know that I’ve been on the Draft Palin  bandwagon for quite some time.  Seems others are now discovering her.  Steve Maloney   introduced me to her last fall.  Now Thomas Cheplick has picked up on the Palin mystique.  Back in August, I did an article about her for Blog Critics.   As I showed in my article, she is a “maverick” in her own right, and could perhaps be the perfect fit for the “Maverick” who is running for POTUS.

OBAMA & HIS LITTLE “CULT”
I have several selections of problems dealing with Barack Obama.  Once again, the MSM is fawning over him, like that very funny SNL skit on Saturday.  They aren’t even complaining when his campaign treats them like dirt.  Would someone like to explain what is going on here?

First, why isn’t the MSM paying attention to the Rezko affair?

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 25
We’ve been having a bit of warm weather.  Saturday morning birds woke me up – and I have a bird phobia.  I think it was nearly 60 that day, but I stayed in all day – the wind was obscene.  Yesterday was beautiful.  This morning things were warm enough that I experienced the abject joy of wearing my favorite (and beat up) Brighton flip flops all morning!  It was a wonderful experience.  I must confess the moment it is warm enough (55 degrees in the morning is my cut-off) I wear sandals all summer. Just being able ...   more »

DECEPTION INDICATED But wait THERE’S MORE!
When I started on this piece this evening, I was simply going to post the PDF’s for the polygraph, and doing a bit of humble pie.  BUT – since then, there are some absolutely fascinating developments.  First, the polygraph expert used is a fraud.  Second, someone is circulating an email about a fake WPost editorial.  Third, I have an interesting little video by Larry Sinclair.  There is something going on here.  Either the man is telling the truth, or he is a nut job to be feared.  I want to know why White House ...   more »

THE ULTIMATE FLIP-FLOP!
According to the LATimes blog, one of Romney’s sons (Jack )  said Mitt is tanned, rested, and ready, and may rejoin the race if as a VP or if something happens to McCain’s campaign.
“…Because he suspended rather than terminated his campaign, Romney still retains control of the nearly 300 delegates he's already won. Another former governor, Mike Huckabee, remains in the race and is nearing Romney's delegate totals, though few give him a realistic chance of catching McCain, with more than 900 delegates. On some Sunday morning talk shows, Huckabee maintained his belief in ...   more »

AN INTERESTING DISCUSSION

Today my friends (sorta sister) her husband and two daughters joined me at my parents’ in San Patricio for dinner.  For those who are curious, it was my mother’s special spaghetti sauce, and was quite good.  She also had fresh, organic leaf lettuce which was incredible.  The highlight of the meal was when my mother was lamenting the demise of some incredible 1980 Kenwood Jack London Cabs.  She opened one last night which was bad.  So I opened one. (Sigh, purr, expressions of abject joy).  It was wonderful.  (sigh) It has a nose of honey, with oaky, ...   more »

New results have been published revealing that a top polygraph expert says that Larry Sinclair is lying in parts of his lie detector test.

Here at The Pink Flamingo, I’ve never been shy about dealing with subjects that other more important blogs might hesitate to tackle.  I guess the reason is I just don’t care.  I’m going to say what I think and what I see as provable fact which isn’t necessarily “truth” – which is a variable.  This being the case, I am going to tackle the Larry Sinclair allegations about Barack Obama.

I don’t care about his ‘sexual’ antics. That is his wife’s problem. It doesn’t bother me a bit.

What does bother me, considering the fact that ...   more »

OBAMA BAD FOR DNC, PAUL BAD FOR RNC
Harold Hutchinson picked up on something from last night’s Dem debate.  (acid indigestion, probably).  He refers us to AJ Strata (as usual) who has an interesting analysis of one of Obama’s military statements. http://strata-sphere.com/blog/index.php/archives/5104   Strata then comes to the same conclusion I’ve reached.  Obama is an idiot!

Have you noticed something I have about Barack Obama?  He doesn’t have much of a sense of humor, cannot laugh at himself, and is terribly thin-skinned.   He also must have the last word.  Now I recognize three of these characteristics because I have them, save ...   more »

This is a very convoluted post.  I’m going for the tabloid headline because I am annoyed to the point nearing fury.  There are several things going on here and I think they are all connected.  It is rather like follow the bouncing ball.  My ‘gut’ reaction is this is all offered up now, all the you know what (It’s Lent and I gave up profanity) to help make Obama look good.  The thing that caught my eye was something posted on Race 42008 last night.  It is rather detailed, but once again, I think it is ...   more »
