I’ve not pulled off a primo April Fool’s Day event in ages. Maybe the problem is the fact that I peaked too soon. It’s hard to follow up on the prank my sister and I pulled when I was in the 4th grade. We went to elementary school in Seneca at Northside. (John Edwards went to Southside). The school was about 15 miles from our home in Fair Play. Our father’s business was in Cross Roads about 7 miles out of Seneca.

I don’t like change. I never have, not real change. Change is losing one’s grandparents, watching a family split apart or seeing the world turn into something you do not like.

If I weren’t voting for John McCain, I would after the beginning of this ad, which features Ted Williams as a hero. Then, when we find out the teacher honored, William B. Ravenel taught at an Episcopalian high school, well, how much more could one ask? (Powerline) I gather this tells us something about who Big Mac views as heroes.
