I’ve had an interesting day. I was planning some very good commentary on politics and blogs, but was detoured by a new tenor and cat killers. I don’t like cat killers. The parents took off for Memphis today – after we had to threaten to hook that blasted Cadillac up to a team of oxen to pull them across the country like they did in the Wild West. This Thursday Thirteen is dedicated to all the devoted Marx Brothers' fans, including my father and my friend Mark. The Marx Brothers were pioneers of comedy and the movies. Their work made it possible for future masters in the field from Alan Alda's Hawkeye to Saturday Night Live, to Laugh-In.
