A Very Strange Day
by

THURSDAY, JANUARY 31 Spring Training Starts On Feb 14!
Remember that cute little fuzzy kitten I rescued? She’s turned to a lean, mean, clawing machine! This evening the little stinker is having her first hit of the C-nip. I think she’s so crazy as it is the C-nip hasn’t phased her! Evidently the little squirt has some sort of working agreement with Rumsfeld, who is letting her sleep on our bed! I think they are buddies, which is good. At least I’ve hauled her out of my huge jade plant so many times she now sees me coming and jumps ... more »

A Little Snow and a Lot of Wind
by
SJ Reidhead
on January 30, 2008 09:33PM (MST)
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 30 Spring Training Starts On Feb 14!
We finally managed to get a little of the white stuff this evening during the debate. Rumsfeld would run back and forth to the windows and bark at it. I think we may end up with an inch or so. The wind is so bad I don’t know if what we are getting is snow or just blowing snow. By now you should have noticed quite a few Pink Flamingo changes. Beth from My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy is doing the work. She is available if you need a make-over.

Sore Losers, Prevaricators, Bad Sports, and Fake Republicans

HOW THE FAR RIGHT IS LOSING IT
Once upon a time everyone made fun of Al Gore for being a little upset when he lost the Florida recount. My how things change, yet stay the same. Only this time, the sore losers are the very ones who made the most fun of Al Gore. It is a wonder they do not demand a recount. They are such bad sports and all around spoiled brats I would not be shocked if someone did not suggest it. After all, John McCain does not appeal to the Republican (read “conservative”) base. Why? Well, ... more »

Cheeta to Write Expose About Tarzan (It’s the Truth!)
by

TUESDAY, JANUARY 29 Spring Training Starts in 15 Days!
I'm not writing about the Florida primaries until the morrow. Then I gloat, and have some information about more of those annoying conservative alliances. Let's just say this could be fun....!
THE GREAT CAT SOAP OPERA I’ve not had a feline update in awhile. Rumsfeld is depressed. He blames his depression on the kitten. Currently he is pulling the rope out of the very nice chairs I inherited from my grandmother. At least he is occupied. The repair is coming out of his allowance. Remember that sweet, precious, adorable little kitten ... more »

GEORGE W. BUSH, AMERICAN
The one individual who personified the American spirit was John Wayne. The Congressional Gold Medal given posthumously reads simply, "John Wayne, American". John Wayne, as a young actor on the back lots of Republic Pictures was a protégé of Tom Mix and a man named John Ford. He studied a tall, ram-rod straight, elderly man who would visit with Ford and Mix. He was a man with white hair, and a shocking white mustache, who had a weakness for movies, poker, and a love of The Almighty. He had a voice like a fog-horn, enunciated every ... more »

HIGH FLIGHTby John Gillespie Magee, Jr.
Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds...and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of...wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting ... more »

Conservatives Are Reaching the Point of Irrational Behavior

CONSERVATIVE DUPLICITY
This evening when I was watching Brett Baier’s excellent interview with President Bush I suddenly understood what is going on between the lemming conservatives lead by their narcissistic demagogues in talk radio, punditry, and in the blogsphere and John McCain. I think I also understand why they are now so dedicated to Mitt Romney and a campaign that will be a losing proposition for the GOP in November. It is more than obvious the reason these individuals are promoting Mitt Romney and are determined to destroy John McCain is the same reason they have done their utmost to ... more »
