(I have an opinion of people who live below sea-level and keep expecting the Feds to bail them out (literally, figuratively, and financially). It is not charitable. If said storm hits where said storm is predicted to hit, some of the rebuilt and being rebuilt areas around New Orleans will probably be flooded. It is politically correct for tax-payers to demand that farmers who live in the low lying areas of the Mississippi flood plain not be allowed to rebuild in a flood prone area. Should the same standards not be applied to the New Orleans region?)... more»
There is this myth that liberals and Democrats are diverse, tolerant, and very kind people who are willing to accept different ideas. They love minorities. Liberals are a safe haven for women. They aren't bigots. They love all cultures. Liberals would never do or say anything that would bring grief to another person, group of people, minority, or entity. That would not be enlightened. A myth is a sacred story that, according to the definition, becomes "true" in the eyes of the believer. Wikipedia defines "Myth"

Early last August I received an email from Steve Maloney, who blogs at Campaign2008VictoryA Steve Maloney GOP. Steve wanted to know if I'd heard of Sarah Palin, the Governor of Alaska. I had not. Steve was working with Adam Brickley of the now "world famous" Draft Sarah Palin for VP. They needed someone to do an article or two and help promote Sarah Palin as VP. Would I be interested.
At that time Adam and Steve were THE ONLY people who were promoting Sarah Palin. Don't fall for any of the bandwagon now. They were ... more»
"...."Tonight, Americans witnessed a misleading speech that was so fundamentally at odds with the meager record of Barack Obama. When the temple comes down, the fireworks end, and the words are over, the facts remain: Senator Obama still has no record of bipartisanship, still opposes offshore drilling, still voted to raise taxes on those making just $42,000 per year, and still voted against funds for American troops in harm's way. The fact remains: Barack Obama is still not ready to be President."..."
There have been rumors of threats and intimidation against Hillary supporters by the Obamans for some months. A few weeks ago we were warned that anyone donating to GOP and conservative sources could be subjected to intense personal scrutiny. In other words, anyone who dares to donate could basically be subjected to blackmail or prosecution - stop contributing OR ELSE! All this reeks of something a bit unsettling. Then, something occurred last night that was a bit chilling if you consider it as organized Democratic intimidation of a writer and the First Amendment. On ... more»
Thank God for John McCain! He wants to keep the shuttle infrastructure going past 2010 until wa have a viable replacement. He wants a strong space program! If you have been following the on-going soap opera that is NASA and the elections, for once NASA is part of the argument, in a positive way. Both candidates are trying to out-do one another on who will go where and do what.
Bill Nelson (D-FL) thinks that John McCain will destroy NASA.

On Saturday when Joe Biden was thanking Barack Obama for choosing him for his VP nominee, Biden accidentally called Barack Obama “Barack America”. We will be hearing that epitaph sooner than later, as we are dealing with an individual who has an ego that knows no bounds. It is strange what we think of when we hear certain phrases or words, or smell certain odors. (I am not implying anything about odors and the Democrats, but just put two and three together). ... more»
(NOTE: This post contains sarcasm and humor, please respond accordingly and do not take it seriously).
The Obama Campaign has released a rather humorous new commercial denegrating John McCain using that song What A Wonderful World This Would Be, best played in Witness. (My gosh he looked so young there - Harrison Ford, not John McCain)
The real fun about all of this is the fact that Barack Obama don't know much about geography! He also don't know much about manners or he would have treated Hillary much better.
From the new RNC site, Not Ready for O8 comes the big news that The One has added another state, Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Isn't it ironic that for every house John McCain's wife owns, Barack Obama has added a new state?
The Pink Flamingo has been repeatedly telling you that there is a good chance John McCain is ahead in New Mexico. The latest Mason-Dixon numbers are just in. It's just 45%-41% but I'll take it! This poll, taken last week, dealing with the west ( AZ, NM, CO, NV, UT, WY) has McCain ahead everywhere but Colorado. More recent Colorado numbers are looking good. Joe Monahan thinks Biden is going to help Obama in NM's rural areas, but I'm just not seeing that.

(cue the music) Any
normal human being, on the eve of his/her coronation (and I am using
the term facetiously) as the nominee of any major political
party, be it Democrat or Republican should be on an emotional high that
last weekend before their convention. When a person is an egomaniacal
headline-hog who envisions himself as the second coming of the second
coming and is seriously having poll problems, it must be a very
frustrating time, which is illustrated by the proverbial throwing of
the kitchen sink. more»
The Obama Campaign thinks they have John McCain hog-tied, hung, deleted, and on the ropes over the latest John McCain being John McCain. The man is so absurdly honest the press still doesn’t know how to handle him, even after 8 years. He doesn’t care what he says. Neither do I. My mouth gets me in trouble all the time. Evidently so does John McCain’s.
There’s more here than just the usual campaign rantings of desperation. It reeks of class(less) warfare. There’s also something of a double standard here. There was nothing wrong for John Kerry ... more»
Do you really want a Republican President who is so beholdin' to special interests and so weak, when ultra conservatives wave their little pinkie he jumps in terror? Evidently this is what the likes of Malkin, Ingraham, Limbaugh, and the little tyrannical twits of the right want from John McCain. Joseph Farrah of World Net Daily has gone so far with his little temper tantrum as to commission a poll about it. If you look at the poll, it is amazing how unfairly Farrah plays to prove his nasty little point, but then no ... more»
Does it surprise you that certain un-named liberals and Democratic flunkies in the MSM are once again trying to denigrate a Republican’s honor. We know they are sore losers, just look at the way George W. Bush stole the Presidency from Al Gore. His daddy bought the election, and deprived Al Gore of his birth-right.
It is proof positive that Republicans are lyin’ cheatin’ sons-of-you-know-whatiches.
Therefore it should come as no surprise that John McCain is one of the above. We all know John McCain cheated when he beat the you know what out of ... more»
Last night John McCain was impressive in the "debate" with Barack Obama. Evidently his quick answers did not please the more liberal crowd. According to CBS he resorted to "stock" answers.

This morning while I was getting dressed for church (yes, I went and yes, I was on time - for once) I was listening to FOX. Bill Krystol was on, discussing the VP game. I was very disappointed to hear that Palin was not on "The Top Four". Then Krystol said something interesting. He was hearing that there is a super secret bombshell possibility, and he figured it was Giuliani. I'd be extremely happy with Giuliani. More than once I've mentioned that McCain-Giuliani would be my idea of the Dream Team. Giuliani is my 2nd choice. ... more»
"...I had to share something with you. Can you imagine living in a place where birth control is considered an "abortion" and health insurers won't cover it? Where even rape victims are denied emergency contraception? It seems unbelievable, but the Bush Administration is quietly trying to redefine "abortion" to include birth control. The Houston Chronicle says this could wipe out dozens of state laws that protect women's reproductive freedom and protect rape victims. And this proposed "rule change" doesn't need congressional approval. I just signed a message ... more»
Barack Obama's camp is getting a little nervous. They are working to submit yet another new slogan. John McCain is hammering him. He needs to be concentrating on Barack Obama, not answering questions about Conservatives Gone Wild. My previous post features a round up of the goings on with Jerome Corsi and his little book about Barack Obama. He is one of the problem conservatives. These people seem to have slipped a cog somewhere and are no longer residing, not just in the 'real world' but the same planet as the rest of us. They don't ... more»
Quite a bit has been made these past few days about "Obamacons" and how many of them there are. For awhile I've been working with a source, a fascinating source. I know this person is frustrated with the slow pace of things, and wants to contribute something to the 'cause'. I've been honored to learn her political background which goes back nearly 50 years. She is a 'real' pro. Right now that's all I can say.
Last night she sent an email to me, asking if I would circulate some information. I sent the email to two ... more»
Jerome Corsi is once again being feted through the conservative world with his new "expose" on Barack Obama. He is a blessing to the conservative cause. He is helping win the war against Obama, right? He may be "right" but he sure the heck isn't Republican. Jerome Corsi is another one of those conservative fakes. Have you seen anywhere on the "conservative" media or FOX where Corsi is exposed as something other than Republican?
No.
Why?
Well, everyone needs to believe the cannard that ALL CONSERVATIVES ARE REPUBLICAN. They are not. The conservatives who do the worst damage ... more»
You can probably tell by my previous post, I'm not all that happy with Democrats right now, simply because it is my believe, from what I can tell, Barack Obama is going to basically destroy our future by gutting NASA for more handouts and pandering. He has already said he is going to postpone our second generation shuttle for several years if not indefinately. I hope his dimwit supporters realize if we don't have a way to get to the ISS (if this war in Georgia continues) there's no way we can even service our satellites. I ... more»
Like most visionaries, Arthur C. Clark was almost always right. This time is no exception. What the heck is going to happen now that we have put all our space eggs in one basket? Like his sequel to 2001: A Space Odyssey, when the US dumped it's space program, we could be in deep you know what. Unfortunately, unlike Clark's vision, we don't face much of a happy ending unless John McCain is elected. I think we cam be fairly sure Barack Obama will dump most of NASA.

Once again I have been proven correct. Modern humans and Neanderthals are related. I would like to mention my theory that there are some humans who are descended from Neanderthals. It is the only possible way to explain college football players. Of course college football players do also prove the theory of evolution, by being the missing link.
If you look at the Electoral Vote Count for Sunday, August 10, things give Barack Obama a 53 point lead. If it weren't for the blue of Nevada, New Mexico and Colorado things would look rather well for the GOP, in fly-over country. It is as though there are two different countries. I'm still not all that certain we are going to lose Virginia. Nevada and Colorado are interesting. Nevada hasn't had a good poll in a month. New Mexico is li
