SHOWING THEIR TRUE COLORS
There was something of a small feeding frenzy yesterday, lost in all the election news, about John McCain, his ideas about judges, and the extreme conservative reaction to it. Over the next few days I am going to be concentrating on the problems the GOP is facing with conservatives. It isn't that "conservative" is the problem. The problem is the fact that there is an entire breed of conservative that is not GOP and basically is wishing for the demise of the GOP. NARCISSISTS AREN’T JUST DEM OR GOP One of the great third party narcissists, Chuck Baldwin, pulled off something of a coup this weekend and is now the Constitution Party’s nominee for POTUS. This is excellent news for John McCain because it is the very worst thing that could happen to Bob Barr’s proposed Libertarian Ego Fest. This could be the best of all possible solutions to the whole "Third Party" threat of any of these yahoos. These twerps are going to cancel one another's votes. HE’S GOT MY VOTE If I weren’t voting for John McCain, I would after the beginning of this ad, which features Ted Williams as a hero. Then, when we find out the teacher honored, William B. Ravenel taught at an Episcopalian high school, well, how much more could one ask? (Powerline) I gather this tells us something about who Big Mac views as heroes. Nothing wrong with Teddy Roosevelt or Ted Williams, who was a board certified war hero and fighter pilot! BIG MAC BLOGGERS Today the WTimes featured a piece by Stephen Dinan about how the blog world bailed out the McCain campaign. I wasn’t there during those do or die days where everyone but a few people, including Brad Marston, were burying John McCain. I do know there was not a great a blog presence for McCain as the Times would have the world believe. Captain Ed picked the story up at Hot Air. I find the revisionist history rather fascinating.
