I NEVER THOUGHT IT WOULD
I never thought opinion of Sarah Palin would change. This morning it did. When I saw her standing on that platform in Erie, PA my entire opinion of her changed. There she was, in jeans. Piper was quite glam in her snow queen costume, but then Piper excels in glam! The Dude was holding Trig who was wearing a cute elephant costume.

ASK NOT
Today while introducing Sarah Palin, Mike Ditka may have uttered one of the finest statements about country and what it means to be an American.
"...“I’m not here because I’m a Republican, which I am, and I’m not here because I’m a conservative, which I am. I’m here because I am an American. It’s time in this country you put party lines on the backburner and you put your country first.” Ditka said, “When I was growing up, it was back in 1963. Then John Kennedy became president-he made a statement: ‘ask not what your country can ... more »

DEMS WISH!
The other day I wrote about the alleged Conservative Crack-Up. After I published it, I made a few more interesting discoveries that have led me to conclude just the opposite is going on. Sure, there are any number of individuals speculating on how to 'rebuild' the conservative movement after the big loss next week, but I sure hope they don't know more than we do.

I'M MAD
Today while voting I ran afoul of a vile Obama supporter. I came close to having a tantrum at the polling place. I think everyone there was furious with me because I kept asking questions. I discovered our local officials were not to blame for the stupidity and First Amendment problems thrust upon us by the corrupt New Mexico system. The voting corruption in this state gets worse and worse. The two problems I encountered today would be, back in SC, enough to make a heck of a lot of trouble. Here, though, it's just a way of ... more »

WHEN WILL IT STOP?
The one journalist I've learned to respect this election cycle is Greta Van Susteren. She is fair. She's honest. She's also demanding the MSM stop the attacks against Sarah Palin. The actions of the MSM this year have been deplorable. They are ruining themselves. Many of us will shed no tears when as we watch the death rattle of once respectable institutions. We're told she is a drag to the GOP ticket.

BLAMING ROMNEY
The past few days we have been treated to a barrage of depressing news. The GOP is falling apart. The blame game has begun. Conservatives are battling conservatives. Moderates need not apply. Romney aides sniping on Palin. Romney dislikes Palin. McCain and Palin are not getting along, et etc.
We're being led to believe Mitt Romney is ready to pull the rug out from under John McCain so he can run in 2012. Sarah Palin has gone 'rogue'. Romney aides in the McCain Campaign are doing anything they can to discredit Sarah Palin.
The problem with this scenario ... more »

SOLACE IN PROVERBS
I've never seen the kind of effect this election is having on people. Christians I know who are voting for McCain-Palin are terrified. Christians I know who will admit that they are going to vote for Obama are embarrassed. I've talked to more people today who are "terrified". One friend said she listened to about two minutes of FOX and burst into tears.
I know a number of people who are limiting their FOX viewing. It is no longer fair and balanced, but in the tank for Obama. I swear Bill O'Reilly has a man-crush on Obama. ... more »

THE FINAL OBAMA ATTACK
I've spent the past 2 days wondering what was going on here. Is there truly a "conservative" crack-up, or are we being led down the primrose path of Obamaitis. It dawned on me that we're being bombarded, once again by the Obama Psych Ops Game. If we can with-stand this attack, we can make it to the finish line. The problem is once again we're succumbing to their psychological and abusive BS to the point where the more fragile and elite conservatives are starting to crack under the pressure. There are conservative elites who are terrified ... more »

THE FINAL ASSAULT HAS BEGUN
Rasmussen is now giving more "weight" to Democrats than Republicans in the latest polls. Evidently Rasmussen changes minute by minute to reflect the number of Democrats needed to reflect the fact that Obama is going to win, thereby further demoralizing the GOP. Is it all smoke and mirrors? Who is wrong? Is Rasmussen correct and we're wrong, or are we right and they're wrong. I'm so mixed up now, I don't even know. Lately I've begun relying on AJ Strata to keep up with the whole polling mess. He's even looking into "early" ... more »

COWARDS - ALL
Frankly, I don't understand what is up with the elite conservatives. I'm more inclined to think they are having a temper tantrum. I also do not think they want John McCain to win. If he does, he is their worst nightmare. He has no patience for them. Sarah Palin makes them look like but useless manipulators of empty regurgitated verbiage. Then, I realized I do know what's wrong with the elites. They're covering their you know whats.

FRIDAY EDITION
I'm coming to the conclusion the reason the press is doing its best to destroy Sarah Palin is to divert attention from the real problem, The One. It is reaching the point where, even if she rolled up and died or went back to Alaska, tail between her legs, she wouldn't do that right. It is getting all to insane. I think that is the only term for it. Howard Kurtz has a hit piece in the WPost that is absolutely amazing. In other words, those of us who support Sarah Palin are now a cult.

UNCLE or 911?
It's one thing to be a little hot under the collar during the last weeks of a hard fought campaign and put a Palin bumper sticker on the car of a die hard O-bot, but that just good clean campaign fun. FYI - you only do it to someone you know. But - it's another to engage in hard-core vandalism. Not only are the usual suspects (strange how they are all Democrats, because we know all Republicans are Perfect!) not content to vandalize cars in their own neighborhoods, but now they are branching out. MORE TO COME
I've been working on the Palin Wardrobe Problem since yesterday evening. It was obvious she is not wearing $150,000 of clothes, even with her shoe problem. The NY Times is now reporting that GOP consultant Jeff Larson may have been playing Funny Money. Because I need to leave for an appointment, and am already late, I'm doing a quick c/p and will make additions this evening. I've been tracking the items she has worn, and cross-referenced. A number of assumptions have been made here that do not add up.

REPUBLICAN v. SOCIALIST
The One, who is heading home to Hawaii to check on his ailing grandmother, leveled a cheap shot about health care, his mother's death due to ovarian cancer, and socialized medicine. Riehl World View has an interesting take on the timeline of his mother's death and Obama's rise to political fame. In February he ran an ad about his mother's cancer.
"...My mother died of cancer at 53. In those last painful months, she was more worried about paying her medical bills than getting well. I hear stories like hers everyday. For 20 years Washington has talked ... more »

AND I AM NOT A RACIST
From what I now gather, unless a person compares Barack Obama with Christ, or calls him the messiah, or The One, you are a racist. The current version of the race-baiting cult demands that we not call The One a "Socialist". You see "socialist" is a racist term.
"...The "socialist" label that Sen. John McCain and his GOP presidential running mate Sarah Palin are trying to attach to Sen. Barack Obama actually has long and very ugly historical roots.

WHAT IF...?
What would happen and the obscenely unthinkable happens - and John McCain wins? If CNN says the polls are tightening, I'm beginning to wonder if Big Mac isn't just a little ahead. Are you starting to see what I see? Maybe Dick Morris is right and Barack Obama peaked too early.
The fact that William Russell is ahead of John Murtha fills my heart with warmth. If we can pull PA.....?

HUGE CROWD
There are reports that someone in Chavez county fired at the McCain bus. There is also a report that has been debunked that the McCain bus was hit by arms fire near Raton, NM. Granted, Raton is one of the more redneck parts of the state, but I just don't see anyone firing at McCain. But then again, this is New Mexico - anything can happen, including an alien invasion (we call 'em Texans).

THOU SHALT NOT...?
I know I've been a little tacky about Barack Obama, but as the election grows closer, the possibility that he could be elected is terrifying. Two words: PATRIOT ACT
How will Obama use this against his "political" enemies? Considering the actions of his brain-dead zombie like followers, I think anyone who has every said anything against him has something to fear. He even wants John McCain investigated for voter suppression. Look at what they are doing to Joe the Plumber.

Regular Pink Flamingo readers may be aware of the problems I've had with the "eco-friendly" new insides of the toilet in my guest room. Designed to save water, instead of the one flush an old-fashioned toilet needs, this one takes a good 5-6 flushes, using twice as much water! Last night it was remarkably slow. I think I went through about a dozen flushes, just trying to get a little bit of TP to disappear. Instead I would get the water level dangerously close to the "rim". TAMMY GOES TO WASHINGTON
I dont' mind admitting I am still a big fan of the old Debbie Reynolds Tammy movies, that went on to be a television series when I was just the right age to be impressed. If you aren't familiar with the story, it is one about a very pretty, very talented, and very bright country girl who goes to work for a millionair and his handsome political son. Naturally the socially elite women who are all around her absolutely detest her - because they are so darn jealous!

WHAT ABOUT THE LAW?
Are you as disturbed and annoyed as I am about the cheating that is going on with ACORN? I've just seen a piece where there are about 200,000 questionable registrations in the state of Ohio alone. Then I read that Barney Frank has no intention of an investigation into the subject. What about Joe Biden putting over $2,000,000 in campaign cash into his family bank accounts?

How dare John McCain expose ACORN and expose Barack Obama to the possibility that he is in serious you know what because of his adventures with ACORN and vote fraud. CAN HE DO ANYTHING RIGHT?
While the McCain Campaign is slinging the dastardly arrows of truth at Barack Obama, his minions are crying foul. They are questioning his "gambling" habits. McCain has "dared" to expose Obama's communist associates. The press is furious.
Now, because he is exposing Obama's little problems, John McCain is now endangering the life of Barack Obama. Yep, you read right. He's endangering Obama. Andrew Sullian is off the deep end this time. He wrote:
