MORE ICE FUN AND GAMES
I periodically report on the goings on over at ICE. I would be an idiot to say that all ICE agents were bad. They are not. But there are enough rotten apples in the bunch to make the others look bad. If ICE is to be a worthy agency, doing work deporting truly evil individuals and “protecting” the US, then we need to get rid of those agents who are not exactly ready for prime-time. There are enough reports of things going wrong, of agents ignoring the law, and of prisoner abuse to raise an ... more »

GRANITE (Pig) HEADED CONSERVATIVES Today Geraldo appeared on Laura Ingraham to promote his new book. As usual she was her annoying, hard-line anti-immigration self. Contrary to what Ingraham says about crime, the newest study finds immigrants in CA commit less crime. Hot Air has the interview….interrogation (Thanks, Sally Vee) I think over the past few years my regular readers have noticed that I wax eloquent on the subject of conservatives who have adopted the hard-line anti-immigration stance of some of the worst ‘devils’ of our national character. I have wondered if these people endorse the same platform of ... more » Tuesday, February 19

DOBBS FOR PRESIDENT? Just when you thought it was safe to turn on the television, we discover Lou Dobbs is on the move. I think we can just about assume he is waiting for the GOP to fall apart and the gods hand him the nomination of some third party on a silver platter. William Gheene of ALIPAC, drunk on his own importance and power, is raising money to start a third party run. MY FANTASY: Let’s have a third party smack-down for the nomination of the Constitution ticket. We can watch Corsi hammer it out with Alan Keyes, then ... more » Monday, February 18

SPRINGTIME FOR HITLER Our favorite liberal site, The Feathered blank (it's Lent and I'm not using those words) has word that our favorite Maricopa County Republican Party Nazi is at it again. Remember that little Maricopa County GOP County Convention where John McCain was slaughtered in the straw poll? I trust McCain supporters are proud of that, considering that J. T. Ready and his bunch of little buddies were at it again, distributing neo-Nazi and KKK related material to one and all at the meeting, and were not asked to leave! I don't now about you, but doesn't it make ... more » Saturday, February 16

JUST LUMP HIM IN WITH SOROS? I saw a posting on The Hill Chronicles that truly annoyed me today. It is the perfect example of how World Net Daily, Jerome Corsi, and the Tanton hate machine have sucked in good, decent people with their lies. John McCain’s Reform Institute is damned by taking a donation from the Tides Foundation because they took a $4 million donation from Teresa Heinz Kerry. The organization is also damned because Corsi says that Arianna Huffington has been on it’s advisory board. “…Arianna Huffington, syndicated columnist and creator of the HuffingtonPost.com, has served on the ... more »

OUR TROOPS - THE GOOD GUYS! The thing that makes me so mad about the people who abuse our troops and say what killers, monsters, and rapists they are is that they are lying. The best way to disprove any of it are the stories coming out of Iraq about our troops and the way they have treated the animals they’ve encountered. You get two sets of stories. The military has a policy to kill stray animals on sight – due to the possibility of disease. They also do not chauffer pets back and forth to the US. In Iraq ... more » Tuesday, February 12

MALKIN LIES, REASON DIES Once again Malkin goes ballistic over something she knows very little about, but since it says “Mexico” and it might assist Mexico, and all Mexicans are evil, then it is automatically bad. Hot Air waxes poetic because Rush mentions Malkin. Hot Air’s link to Rush. What is even more fascinating is that one of Malkin’s “gods” The Heritage Foundation APPROVES of this move. THE HERITAGE FOUNDATION approves of the Merida Initiative. I guess on Malkin’s part, ignorance is bliss as she continues to harp on what is a very good thing and a long time ... more » Saturday, February 9

THE SCAM TO STOP MCCAIN Captain Ed warns us that now some Dem operatives are manipulating a few bratty conservatives to rebel and deny John McCain the nomination. “…However, not everyone wants to put the divisions behind them. When I got to Blogger Row this morning, the desks had been papered by Patriot PAC. They have launched a new website, OpenGOPConvention, to urge voters to deny McCain the outright nomination. Headlined "CONTAIN MCCAIN!", they want Republicans to wait for a "real Ronald Reagan conservative" -- as if no one thought of the idea before. They also left copies of ... more »

TANTON'S EMPIRE STRIKES BACK? Earlier today I emailed a friend and told her we were going to see the anti-immigration “conservatives” pull something nasty. Well, Mark Kirkorian has fired the first shot. “…'A Third-Party Candidate for President May Be Essential for Limiting the Damage to Republicans in Congress.' Over in the Corner, Mark Kirkorian is talking about a third party candidate in a warm, fuzzy tone. He's thinking of a ticket that would attempt fusion between the Libertarian and Constitution parties…” It's the anti-immigration supporters who are going to be the backbone of this "new" third party. Watch to see ... more »

THE EMPEROR HAS NO CLOTHES J. R. Dunn, American Thinker “…With Obama it appears at least in part to be a matter of strategy. His campaign persona is so vague, and slogans such as "the audacity of hope" and "the politics of unity" so generic that they could mean anything, which is exactly what they've been taken to mean.
Commentators, pundits, and voters look at Obama and see what they want see -- a "healer", an "agent of change", the "new JFK" -- a new persona each week. It follows directly that everyone also believes that Obama's ideas on policy ... more » Monday, February 4

COULD IT HAPPEN AGAIN? Have you ever wondered about Hitler’s rise to power? I was fortunate enough to have a wonderful history teacher in high school who not only was a student of Nazi Germany, but spent many months as a POW in an Nazi prison camp. He escaped and ended up with Patton’s 3rd Army in Sicily, then through Germany. He spent quite a bit of time on the rise of Nazi Germany because he thought there was a lesson in it. Ian Kershaw’s International Herald Tribune piece. “…The Nazis' surge in popular support (2.6 percent of the vote ... more »

THE REEK OF DESPERATION Dr. Jack Wheeler, the Jack Armstrong of the “Reagan Era” has penned one of the most mendacious pieces of trash I’ve ever seen. Naturally the object of his wrath is John McCain, who is evil and must be destroyed. It doesn’t matter how the Right does it. If they must resort to debunked lies, innuendo, half-truth, and character assassination all’s fair, right? This time Jack Wheeler has a two-fer. Not only does he get to carry out a hit for the mainstream conservative anti-McCain world, but he also gets to spread lies and innuendo about Hillary ... more » Friday, February 1

LOST IN SPACE I’ve spent the entire day working on a magnum opus about today’s far right conservatives and how they are rapidly losing their minds. I have nearly 16 pages of commentary, links, and rather damning quotes, but then I realized, what’s the use. I think perspective is rather important right now. Today Sean Hannity endorsed Mitt Romney. Today John McCain was endorsed by the governors of California and Texas. (I did not say Terminator, but I thought about it). He was also endorsed by Ted Olsen. Have you noticed how the conservative MSM talk show, blogging super-stars ... more » |
