SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE
Quin Hillyer wrote one of the nastiest hit pieces I’ve seen to date against Lindsey. Naturally he is channeling Michelle Malkin who has this pathological hatred of Lindsey. I think it’s because she dislikes anything Hispanic and Lindsey is not exactly a bigot, and sorta implied that she and her precious little friends are. I guess since she is promoting Buddy Witherspoon, we all know who is handling her leash – the John Tanton crowed. She’s also part of what I call the Dump Lindsey Movement. It’s all part of certain non-Republican ... more »

JOHN MCCAIN - 2013
John McCain's historic speech delivered at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, in Columbus, OH, today at 10:00 a.m. EDT "Thank you. The hectic but repetitive routine of presidential campaigns often seems to consist entirely of back and forth charges between candidates, punctuated by photo ops, debates and the occasional policy speech, followed by another barrage of accusations and counter accusations, formulated into the soundbites preferred by cable news producers. It is a little hypocritical for candidates or reporters to criticize these deficiencies. They are our creation. Campaigns and the media collaborated as architects of the ... more »

CONSERVATIVE NOT REPUBLICAN For months I've been telling you that there are certain conservatives who are no more Republican than Barack Obama is. Mark Levin just proved me correct. This is the WORST piece of you know what I've ever heard. This needs to end - now. Right now I am absolutely furious. I don't know when I have been so angry. We are dealing with people who are so warped that they do not comprehend they have destroyed the "brand" they once embraced. Maybe Mark Levin needs to go back and read the Contract with America. Not once in ... more »

THE HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME (BUT THEMSELVES) Once again a Republican wannabe has been sent packing, tail between his legs. There are several reasons for this. Unlike this gloom and doom blame everything on GWB post from Race 42008, President Bush IS NOT the problem! We all know all the little cowardly conservatives who dance around the anti-immigration bonfire singing the sky is falling, and deport 'em all are the ones who are to blame. They sound more like Barack Obama who doesn't have the intellectual capacity or the maturity to shoulder the blame himself. They are ... more » Tuesday, May 13

IS HE JUST PLAIN SMART? (or) ARE CONSERVATIVES BETRAYING MCCAIN? John McCain betrayed conservatives yesterday when he caved to the dastardly theology of "Global Warming". Or did he? He addressed the problems of global climate change, which even the most conservative of thinkers acknowledges is occurring. Anyone who follows science news knows something is happening out there. Frankly, I go with the theory that humans aren't important enough in the great scheme of things to completely disrupt the planet unless they blow it up with a bunch of nukes. I don't see a Death Star anywhere, so until the Grand ... more » Saturday, May 10

HOUSE REPUBLICANS ARE AN EMBARRASSMENT! Novak has a Townhall piece today that is basically humiliating in nature for the GOP. Nancy Pelosi has run rough-shod over them for nearly 2 years and they’ve basically surrendered. Flap is covering Newt Gingrich’s cry in the darkness. “…Nine Acts of Real Change That Could Restore the GOP Brand
Here are nine acts of real change that would begin to rebuild the American people's confidence that Republicans share their values, understand their worries, and are prepared to act instead of just talk. The Republicans in Congress could get a start on all nine ... more » Thursday, May 8

THE POWER OF PRAYER You need to catch Carl Cameron’s interview with “Bud” Day. Day was John McCain’s roommate while both were imprisoned during those horrible days in of the Vietnam War. The interview leaves you in tears. Day told Cameron: “…“I took one look at him and my brain instantly said they dropped this guy off on me to claim that we let him die. He was just emaciated, very, very skinny, in this awful body cast.”
The colonel and John McCain were cell-mates in that tiny cell for two of their more than 5 yrs of torture ... more »

THE HISPANIC REPUBLICAN VOTE Rubin Navarrette has a PJ Media piece about the Mexican flag. There is a double standard. Anything Mexican is bad – evil, evidently. “…The point is, a lot of Americans look at anyone who waves a Mexican flag as secretly planning to take over the Southwest and hand it to Mexico. But they don’t suggest that anyone waving the Israeli flag - or the Irish flag, or the Italian flag or whatever - has something similar up his sleeve. In those cases, most people are likely to think that the display is harmless and that all ... more »

SHOWING THEIR TRUE COLORS There was something of a small feeding frenzy yesterday, lost in all the election news, about John McCain, his ideas about judges, and the extreme conservative reaction to it. Over the next few days I am going to be concentrating on the problems the GOP is facing with conservatives. It isn't that "conservative" is the problem. The problem is the fact that there is an entire breed of conservative that is not GOP and basically is wishing for the demise of the GOP. It is time we separate the conservatives from the Republicans and the honorable ... more »

THIS IS BIASED - THIS IS RACISM I want to tell you about a story I heard today. I am not telling who told it to me. The man is Hispanic. His family has been in New Mexico since the Conquistadors. THEY ARE REPUBLICAN. They have served in the military. They vote. They go to church, have jobs, and contribute to society. Unfortunately, my friend’s sister cannot find her birth certificate. She has lost her baptismal certificate. The state of New Mexico declares she was never born. She has a Social Security # and is receiving it. She has her ... more »

MICHELLE HATES MCCAIN Does this offend you? If it does, I suggest you join your little friends at Stormfront, or go flush some of your hard earned money down the coffers of any one of the minutemen groups. I also suggest you sit back, and breathe. There....in, out. Now sneeze. (wait, that's me). Think back on all the tales you remember - of Ronald Reagan's campaign. Think about all the GOP POTUS campaigns since then - and you might discover (if yo are willing to look) that EVERY Republican nominee for President of the ... more »

THEY BETRAY THEIR “CONSERVATIVE” IDEALS I think there is this false perception that I do not like conservatives, and have something against them. In a way that is true. I am conservative. The only change I’ve been through in about 20 years of political evolution is the fact that I am now against the death penalty simply because I am so staunchly pro-life. It is rather ludicrous to be against abortion, but yet want to put criminals to death. It just doesn’t work. Other than that, I am as conservative (maybe a little more) as I was when Reagan was ... more »

THE 'TRUE' CONSERVATIVE AGENDA From Border Fire Report (for what it’s worth) I keep telling you there are many conservatives who are not Republican. These are the individuals who have been doing all the agitating – and we’re not talking Ron Paul Bots. There is a division in the conservative ranks between libertarians, Constitution, and the new conservative party. The problem is these are the yahoos who basically cost the GOP the majority in the House and Senate in 2006. If we aren't careful and marginalize them, this will happen, once again, and could cost John McCain the election. They ... more » Monday, April 28

NARCISSISTS AREN’T JUST DEM OR GOP One of the great third party narcissists, Chuck Baldwin, pulled off something of a coup this weekend and is now the Constitution Party’s nominee for POTUS. This is excellent news for John McCain because it is the very worst thing that could happen to Bob Barr’s proposed Libertarian Ego Fest. This could be the best of all possible solutions to the whole "Third Party" threat of any of these yahoos. These twerps are going to cancel one another's votes. They are vying for the same voter - the chip-on-the-shoulder, sore-head, dis-functional, hate-everything-different voter. ... more »

READ THE POLLS "Leadership to me means duty, honor, country. It means character, and it means listening from time to time." George W. Bush I don’t like Rasmussen. I think his polls are a crock. We hear how badly the President is in the polls, but look at the particulars tat have him around 34%. “…Rasmussen Reports updates the President's Job Approval on a weekly basis based upon nightly telephone interviews with 500 adults. Weekly results include interviews with 3,500 adults. Full month results are based upon interviews with 15,000 adults. In any review of Job Approval data, the ... more »

COULD IT BE – IMMIGRATION? Earlier today I spoke to our local Women’s Republican group, delivering what amounted to a partial doom and gloom prediction. While the talk was primarily about the various blogs for John McCain, I said the following: The implications for the GOP could be disastrous if we do not change our ways and modernize our way of thinking. This is precisely what a group of us are attempting to do. If we cannot get the rank and file every day members of the Republican Party to perhaps re-think the wheel a little, I am afraid we ... more »

FAKE IS FAKE I am sick and tired of Barack Obama. For awhile I allowed myself to be seduced into the possibility that I was simply being snarky about him, but I’ve realized that’s not the problem. He and his violate so many things I hold near and dear. I’ve decided, recently, that I’m no longer lowering my standards and being tolerant of alternative political ideals and actions. I believe what I believe. The man is an idiot. (Stop the ACLU) The man does not have the courage to take a stand on anything. I am tired of ... more »

THE CONSERVATIVE TREASON LOBBY Libertarian blogs are buzzing at the possibility that Bob Barr will inflate his ego and run for POTUS, thereby preventing John McCain from winning and thereby allowing a marxist socialist victory. In doing so they will also doom our nation to deplorable SCOTUS appointments and a devastating war with Iran. Or as one suicide bomber conservative breathlessly reports “…Or, as Ronald Reagan said about leaving the Democrat Party, “I didn’t leave the party. The party left me.” There are many voters who feel the same way about today’s Republican party. Those voters could ... more »

KEEP THROWING THINGS INTO THE FAN I’ve been collecting links about financing and John McCain’s funding problems. There are times when I like to do this and see what develops. I think today the Dems have revealed their hand when the filed suit to keep Big Mac on the public financing dole. In doing so they have revealed their game plan. HAMSTRING HIM ANY WAY POSSIBLE!I think we are now starting to see a pattern. Keep throwing you know what into the fan and see what sticks. Remember when ceiling fans first became popular? IS MY DISLIKE OF BARACK OBAMA OBSESSIVE I have been challenged by someone I respect (a Canadian liberal) over my dislike of Barack Obama. He thinks I am demonizing Obama. It started me thinking. I try to be fair. Am I being fair to him simply because he is a Democrat. My friend thinks Obama is a great man that I am treating unfairly. Is he? I am seriously trying to go after Obama only on the issues and the fact that I think he is a liar. Is he really a liar with shady friends, or am I nit-picking ... more »

The Pink Flamingo’s 68th Edition Thursday Thirteen Thirteen Reasons Cary Grant Is My Favorite Movie Star He was suave, debonair, handsome, self-deprecating, had the sexiest way of talking, and once called my sister a “lovely young thing.” He never played a villain. He was a very big baseball fan, a naturalized American and a Republican. And, most importantly, during the 1930’s while making movies and traveling throughout Europe he spied on Nazi Germany for the British Secret Service. “…A reporter in search of information wired Grant's agent: "HOW OLD CARY GRANT?" NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME I have a lovely little accumulation of Barack Obama goodies. With each passing day it becomes more and more obvious this person lacks the character to be called a “man”. He has built a life and a political career on a house of cards and lies. When called to task he accuses everyone of racism. There comes a time when it’s like the little boy who cried wolf. I like the little boy analogy because there is no way you can consider Barack Obama ‘a real man’. I go back to my belief that Barack ... more »

ARROGANCE 101 I think most of my regular Pink Flamingo readers know I am not much of a friend of “conservative” bloggers, not the ‘top shelf” ones anyway. I find them to be arrogant, hypocritical, anti-Republican, self-serving individuals who are not interested in promoting the Republican Party. While I am conservative, with my values having not changed since the days of Reagan (save for my disapproval of the death penalty because of my very strong pro-life beliefs) I absolutely refuse to be lumped in with these people. I am a Republican. I am a proud Republican. I vote the elephant ... more »

NO CONSERVATIVE DEFENSE, EITHER! I’ve been sitting on this since about mid-afternoon – a good 4 hours, waiting to see if any CONSERVTIVE blogger would come to John McCain’s rescue. So far, only two, mentioned below have behaved with honor. So far, not Malkin, Hot Air, Pajamas Media, Instapundit, Red State – not one other blog: ZIP NADA ZILCH. No one. So far Drudge has not chosen to run with it. Considering how he dislikes McCain, it won’t be long. There is nothing.
