After Ted Nugent wrote that outrageously short-sighted and abjectly stupid piece for Human Events that basically calls for open season on all RINOS, other easily led conservatives are chiming in. I’m not linking because I don’t want to give him that much credit. And, I never did like his music.
It’s all part of the “great GOP civil war” or is it? I remember 4 years the Democratic Party was dead and buried. While we were celebrating their demise, they became terribly liberal. While Republicans in the House were becoming so corrupt they felt they could act ... more»
Henry Wickham wrote a commentary at American Thinker today comparing Barack Obama to the "Kingfish" - Huey Long. While I admit the thought is rather interesting, when does this become Obama Derangement Syndrome?
Let's be honest, Republicans did not look their best during the Clinton years. I don't know about you, but I absolutely refuse to go there this time. Beating up on a candidate during the primaries is fair game. It's politics, therefore it's war. But, now that The One is going to ascend on high and become messiah elect, maybe we should try and ... more»

Don't blame John McCain for this (insert your chose of word) loss. He was met by the most corrupt juggernaut in American history. Defeat is not dishonorable when your opponent must lie, cheat, and steal in order to win. John McCain wasn't defeated by your normal candidate. He was defeated by hate, betrayal, and dishonesty.
John McCain is a hero. He is a patriot. He has given his entire life to his country. In the end he was betrayed by a silver tongued narcissist who has no grasp of the country he will begin to govern. I ... more»

Today I approach this election
with a heavy heart. The moment the voting begins, it signals
the beginning of the end of the term of one of the greatest
Presidents we've ever had. George W. Bush has
governed with honor. He has shown us all how to persevere in
the face of unwarranted and outlandish criticism and
abject
hatred. Any honest person knows the only reason his approval
ratings are so low is because of the reprehensible way the media has
treated him. No one deserves such ... more»
George W. Bush did a very evil thing one day when he allowed his out of control Justice Department to fire David Iglesias for - not doing his job. We all know the move was evil and political, right? If you read the liberal rags, that's their lie and they're going to stick to it. George W. Bush must be destroyed. John McCain must be destroyed. Anyone who opposes their agenda must be destroyed. TPM is now linking the justified removal of David Iglesias here in New Mexico to the nasty and unnecessary attacks againt ... more»

Are you feeling depressed? Are you down in the dumps? Do you feel
abused by the economy? Do you feel abused by Barack Obama and the
Democrats? Are you starting to fall into the trap that we're losing? First, go read AJ Strata's post on the subject, then go shopping. John Fund has a piece about Sarah Palin calling her the Happy Warrioress. George Archibald has an interesting take on things.

COWARDLY CONSERVATIVES OF THE CONGRESS
Last night I
emailed a friend about something that bugs me. I know it
is silly and stupid, but a teacher of mine once said that the only bad
question is the one not asked. So, I am asking it.
Am I the only one
who finds the timing of this "financial crash" a but
peculiar? Sunday morning, in a fit of depression that is
making me feel rather bi-polar about this whole election cycle, I
called my mother. (When all else fails phone home).
"This is bad. The worst thing is the Dems ... more»

WE ARE THE ONE
President Bush has asked Barack Obama to return to DC to work on the financial problems facing our nation. Is Obama going to thumb his nose at the President? He needs to remember that GWB is still POTUS until January 20 or so. He has talked down the economy, Sarah Palin and John McCain. After all, we are The One. That's all anyone needs to know. His marxist-socialist friends don't matter. His associations with a convicted felon don't matter. All that matters is the fact that he is the Chosen One.

THE POLITICS OF CHANGE?
What do you think about a person running for President of the United States of America who was secretly delighted over the thought that our economy was crashing? Yea, me too. Well, that's what the Obamassiah is now doing.
"...Aide Steve Schmidt, who worked for the Bush-Cheney team in 2004, told reporters Thursday aboard McCain's plane that Obama is "cheerleading this crisis." WE HAVE A PROBLEM
While so many other things have been going on here in the country, the problems of NASA have been swept under the rug. I've always tried to be honest when it comes to the Bush Administration, promising to complain about things when I thought it was necessary. Right now, I'm complaining. Something is going on within the Administration, the OMB, and NASA in general. And - it isn't good. If we aren't careful, and if Barack Obama is elected, say good-by to NASA (and our future). The very real problem is that the Bush ... more»
The Democrats are losing it. Don't mind me while I enjoy every minute of it. Yes, I am absolutely furious over the way they are treating John McCain and Sarah Palin. And, yes the tears I am shedding are crocodile. Please allow me to wallow in this while it lasts. I am absolutely terrified they will wake up one morning and realize they're acting like the jack asses so aptly represented in their political mascot and ... more»

WHAT AMERICA IS ABOUT
Sally Vee sent this to me from Catholic Vote.Com. Watch it, then go over to Electoral Vote Count and see who is ahead today. We're at 270 today. Four years ago GWB was at 233. No wonder Obama is in a snit.
Two weeks ago we were treated to an "Oscar" like Hollywood extravaganza when the Democrats had their little get-together. Everyone had a theme song to the point where one afternoon conservative talk show host Michael Medved was waxing poetic, and a bit hilarious, about what songs were going to be played for whom. They had, glitz, glitter, and glamor. They had Oprah, Barbara, and a cast of tens of thousands. There were fireworks. There were meaningful emotional experiences as The One communed with his loving followers. They made my beloved Republicans look like a bunch of dorky squares. ... more»

Yesterday I posted a humorous commentary about why Republicans are different from Democrats. I left something out in my little 'snark'. The DNC ended with god coming down from on high. There was this amazing display of fireworks, new age music, and a reverent 'downer'. It was ... more»
(I have an opinion of people who live below sea-level and keep expecting the Feds to bail them out (literally, figuratively, and financially). It is not charitable. If said storm hits where said storm is predicted to hit, some of the rebuilt and being rebuilt areas around New Orleans will probably be flooded. It is politically correct for tax-payers to demand that farmers who live in the low lying areas of the Mississippi flood plain not be allowed to rebuild in a flood prone area. Should the same standards not be applied to the New Orleans region?)... more»
Early last August I received an email from Steve Maloney, who blogs at Campaign2008VictoryA Steve Maloney GOP. Steve wanted to know if I'd heard of Sarah Palin, the Governor of Alaska. I had not. Thank God for John McCain! He wants to keep the shuttle infrastructure going past 2010 until wa have a viable replacement. He wants a strong space program! If you have been following the on-going soap opera that is NASA and the elections, for once NASA is part of the argument, in a positive way. Both candidates are trying to out-do one another on who will go where and do what.

This week Human Events is honoring Rush Limbaugh. Mark Levin has a Human Events column that can only be described as nothing but abject fawning, gushing, and outright worship. I am fully aware of Limbaugh’s good points. He is well known for his charitable work, and he donates a tremendous amount of money to very worth-while causes. He is one of the single largest donors to leukemia research. For that, I am personally grateful. His donations may have been the tipping point in the medical research that is keeping my cousin Jim alive (and maybe even ... more»
How long is it going to take for Republicans to figure out that they are REPUBLICANS FIRST and conservatives second? Let's face it, the reason the GOP looks so bad and the reasons our candidates have been on this wonderful losing spree is because they
were so darn busy pandering to hard line non Republican conservatives. There are any number of special interests out there who are conservative. I'm a "normal" conservative, but I am a Republican first. Maybe that's the term we need "normal" conservative as opposed to Reagan Revisionist Conservatives who wax poetic about ... more»
