LIBERALS ARE SO TOLERANT
There is this myth that liberals and Democrats are diverse, tolerant, and very kind people who are willing to accept different ideas. They love minorities. Liberals are a safe haven for women. They aren't bigots. They love all cultures. Liberals would never do or say anything that would bring grief to another person, group of people, minority, or entity. That would not be enlightened. A myth is a sacred story that, according to the definition, becomes "true" in the eyes of the believer.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Early last August I received an email from Steve Maloney, who blogs at Campaign2008VictoryA Steve Maloney GOP. Steve wanted to know if I'd heard of Sarah Palin, the Governor of Alaska. I had not. Steve was working with Adam Brickley of the now "world famous" Draft Sarah Palin for VP. They needed someone to do an article or two and help promote Sarah Palin as VP. Would I be interested.
At that time Adam and Steve were THE ONLY people who were promoting Sarah Palin. Don't fall for any of the bandwagon now. They were ... more »

"...."Tonight, Americans witnessed a misleading speech that was so fundamentally at odds with the meager record of Barack Obama. When the temple comes down, the fireworks end, and the words are over, the facts remain: Senator Obama still has no record of bipartisanship, still opposes offshore drilling, still voted to raise taxes on those making just $42,000 per year, and still voted against funds for American troops in harm's way. The fact remains: Barack Obama is still not ready to be President."..."

SIGN OF THINGS TO COME?
There have been rumors of threats and intimidation against Hillary supporters by the Obamans for some months. A few weeks ago we were warned that anyone donating to GOP and conservative sources could be subjected to intense personal scrutiny. In other words, anyone who dares to donate could basically be subjected to blackmail or prosecution - stop contributing OR ELSE! All this reeks of something a bit unsettling. Then, something occurred last night that was a bit chilling if you consider it as organized Democratic intimidation of a writer and the First Amendment. On ... more »

MALKIN ATTACKS MCCAIN
(AGAIN)
(WHAT’Z NEW?)
(AGAIN)
(WHAT’Z NEW?)
Obnoxious 9/11 Truther Alex Jones got the best of Michelle Malkin. He is a loud, vile individual, who reminds me of a cur dog who needs to have its barker removed. This said, Mz Malkin, in search of a headline and a story, became the story, her little self when Jones and his tawdry bunch of associates recognized her. As much as I dislike Michelle Malkin and thing that some of Jones’ accusations had a ring of truth about them, no one, needs to be treated the way she was.

IS MCCAIN ON THE BALLOT?
(NOTE: This post contains sarcasm and humor, please respond accordingly and do not take it seriously).
The Obama Campaign has released a rather humorous new commercial denegrating John McCain using that song What A Wonderful World This Would Be, best played in Witness. (My gosh he looked so young there - Harrison Ford, not John McCain)

COULD YOU BE ONE?
The other day I told my father if I had to be a Democrat I think I would rather shoot myself and put me out of my misery. It must be a terrible thing to be a Democrat and not be allowed to think for oneself. There is such an autocratic hierarchy within the party, if one is not part of the party ‘blue blood’ they are basically chopped liver, consigned to the worker-bee cheep seats of life. One must be common and practice the decisiveness of class warfare.
There are two social classes for Democrats, ... more »

SCARLET O’HARA OBAMA
(cue the music)
Any normal human being, on the eve of his/her coronation (and I am using the term facetiously) as the nominee of any major political party, be it Democrat or Republican should be on an emotional high that last weekend before their convention. When a person is an egomaniacal headline-hog who envisions himself as the second coming of the second coming and is seriously having poll problems, it must be a very frustrating time, which is illustrated by the proverbial throwing of the kitchen sink. more »

JOHN MCCAIN'S SMART WIFE
The Obama Campaign thinks they have John McCain hog-tied, hung, deleted, and on the ropes over the latest John McCain being John McCain. The man is so absurdly honest the press still doesn’t know how to handle him, even after 8 years. He doesn’t care what he says. Neither do I. My mouth gets me in trouble all the time. Evidently so does John McCain’s.
There’s more here than just the usual campaign rantings of desperation. It reeks of class(less) warfare. There’s also something of a double standard here. There was nothing wrong for John Kerry ... more »

EXTREMES HARMING BOTH PARTIES
Do you really want a Republican President who is so beholdin' to special interests and so weak, when ultra conservatives wave their little pinkie he jumps in terror? Evidently this is what the likes of Malkin, Ingraham, Limbaugh, and the little tyrannical twits of the right want from John McCain. Joseph Farrah of World Net Daily has gone so far with his little temper tantrum as to commission a poll about it. If you look at the poll, it is amazing how unfairly Farrah plays to prove his nasty little point, but then no ... more »

TRUE OR ELECTION YEAR POSTURING?
Move On. Org is circulating an email.
"...I had to share something with you. Can you imagine living in a place where birth control is considered an "abortion" and health insurers won't cover it? Where even rape victims are denied emergency contraception? It seems unbelievable, but the Bush Administration is quietly trying to redefine "abortion" to include birth control. The Houston Chronicle says this could wipe out dozens of state laws that protect women's reproductive freedom and protect rape victims. And this proposed "rule change" doesn't need congressional approval. I just signed a message ... more »

OBAMA'S PALESTINIAN PROBLEM
Quite a bit has been made these past few days about "Obamacons" and how many of them there are. For awhile I've been working with a source, a fascinating source. I know this person is frustrated with the slow pace of things, and wants to contribute something to the 'cause'. I've been honored to learn her political background which goes back nearly 50 years. She is a 'real' pro. Right now that's all I can say. Last night she sent an email to me, asking if I would circulate some information. I sent the email to two ... more »

OPRAH'S MALFEASANCE
Look, I'm prejudiced here. I'm a John McCain supporter. I don't give a rip about Barack Obama, and would never bother with him if he weren't running for POTUS. But let's be honest here. John McCain is cleaning his clock in the campaign ad department. Obama is now playing catch-up and is starting to look and sound like the spoiled, snot of an incompetent brat that he really is. Let's be honest about something else, it is beoming more and more apparent Obama is being proped by the MSM to the point where even Dem's don't particularily like ... more »

DEMOCRATS AND THEIR MOTHERS
Today in the Star Bulletin there is this fawning, gushing coverage of Barack Obama "coming home". He "wowed" them at Oahu. And, then there are the strong women of his life. It is quite obvious he was raised by a strong grandmother, a Marxist mother who had the morals Mommy Cat. (It's Sunday so I'm sermonizing). It is also rather obvious he had a grandfather who treated his grandmother like dirt.

COHEN WINS BIG
Yesterday Steve Cohen (who lives down the block from my sister) took out Nikki Tinker by something like 75%. If you recall, Tinker reeked of desperation to the point where she resorted to race baiting and anti-Semitism, going down in flames. Is there a lesson here? Is it possible that the American People are finally "Getting it"? If so Cohen's victory has terrifying implications for Barack Obama. If Cohen could defeat the politics of abject racism in Memphis, is it possible the days of playing the race card are over?Granted Barack Obama came out and, as ... more »

GREEN = NARCISSISM
Are you are annoyed with the narcissism of "green"? I know I am. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with doing the non pollution thing. I like the idea of "personal" wind power, where you can attach a small windmill to your electrical system and stick it to the money sucking power company. That desire has nothing to do with "Green" and everything to do with a way that, until power companies get smart and have the laws changed, you can generate your own power and force your local power company to credit your for ... more »

VICIOUS RACIST & ANTI-SEMITISM
Here is a copy of the Steve Cohen - KKK ad that has allegedly been removed from YouTube. I don't know how long it will be up. Tinker has removed it from her site. This is par for the course with Tinker who has been hitting Cohen with a barrage of anti-Semitism for months. The most tragic aspect of this? Cohen has endorsed Barack Obama who refuses to come to his defense, saying it is just a primary. Obama is now the head of the Demoratic Party. John McCain quickly decries anything that might be construed ... more »

WINDS OF CHANGE?
Things are changing. Currently the latest polls state that while the GOP has fewer voters than it has had in years, the Dems are also losing numbers. Independents are growing in number. The fascinating numbers are the growth of the Dem brand over a few month period in 2006. If the growth was purely to protest the War, then these numbers may desert the Dems. "...In 2004, the Democrats began the year with a 2.3 percentage point edge over the GOP. That grew to 4.0 points by March before moving in the Republican direction for the ... more »

PAGING DR. GINGRICH
Wouldn't it be interesting if the GOP members of Congress have tapped into something with their protest against Nancy Pelosi? The latest Gallup numbers show there is a window, just a small one, but there is a window of opportunity to make some inroads in the House this year. I think the American people want to see a little bit of courage. And, like Medved pointed out yesterday on his show, they don't like to vote for "angry" people. If they can keep their heads.... (nah, that was a pipe dream).

LIVING ON A DIFFERENT PLANET?
So we tap the strategic oil reserve. Once the oil is doled out on a socialistic basics, it must be replaced. What part of this doesn't Barack Obama comprehend? Or does he comprehend it and just doesn't care. He wants to take from the rich (oil profits) and give to the poor (average American families). The socialist that Obama is, he wants to take from the rich and redistribute the money. Sure, it's all to lower the price of oil, but wait a minute...

HIT FIRST & HIT HARD
There are those with weak stomachs who are already complaining about John McCain’s frontal attack on Barack Obama this week. There is a very old rule in politics. If you do not define your opponent first, they are going to define you.
For a good six weeks or so the Obama campaign has tried to define John McCain.
Obama has tried:
Old
Senile
Losing Republican Support
Racist
Wes Clark hit him on his military experience.
Even more interesting is to check out the campaign videos Obama is making. He's not hitting McCain as ... more »

THE HOUSE BLEW IT
Let's just file this under the topic of what's new? (the sarcastic version). Once again the Republicans in the US House of Representatives blew one of the most perfect moments in House history. All they needed to do was dare Nancy Pelosi to have them arrested! They were so close to doing something really great when they started their protest. It was a beautiful moment. They gave me hope. Then, like some tin-horn gambler at the Long Branch Saloon, they caved in the face of glory. They went home. Just think what would have happened ... more »
