ENTERTAINMENT OR AN AGENDA?
This week Human Events is honoring Rush Limbaugh. Mark Levin has a Human Events column that can only be described as nothing but abject fawning, gushing, and outright worship. I am fully aware of Limbaugh’s good points. He is well known for his charitable work, and he donates a tremendous amount of money to very worth-while causes. He is one of the single largest donors to leukemia research. For that, I am personally grateful. His donations may have been the tipping point in the medical research that is keeping my cousin Jim alive (and maybe even ... more »

CONSERVATIVES HATE HIM? When is a conservative not a Republican? Are the one in the same? Or....can they be completely different party animals? I have an article over on Right Pundits that is basically an edited version of one I posted on The Pink Flamingo last week. I am pointing it out simply because of the extreme way over the top comments by Ron Paul supporters who consider themselves the minion army of their savior, Ron Paul, who is going to be the GOP version of Barack Obama. If only the extreme, very evil, and very stupid Republicans would dump ... more » Saturday, July 26

THEY WILL NEVER LEARN! How long is it going to take for Republicans to figure out that they are REPUBLICANS FIRST and conservatives second? Let's face it, the reason the GOP looks so bad and the reasons our candidates have been on this wonderful losing spree is because they were so darn busy pandering to hard line non Republican conservatives. There are any number of special interests out there who are conservative. I'm a "normal" conservative, but I am a Republican first. Maybe that's the term we need "normal" conservative as opposed to Reagan Revisionist Conservatives who wax poetic about ... more » Friday, July 18

INTELLECTUAL DISHONESTY There is this great and growing dishonest of the far right, embodied by such luminaries as Michelle Malkin, Patrick J. Buchanan, and Laura Ingraham. So, today Malkin is reporting that Republicans in the House are not donating to John McCain, as if they dislike him or something. "...Looks like House Republicans are doing what a lot of grass-roots conservatives are doing–or rather not doing: Not giving John McCain cash. A divider, not a uniter? Via The Hill:..." Malkin quotes from The Hill:"...Few House Republicans have contributed to Sen. John McCain since he clinched the Republican nomination ... more »

DEAL WITH IT John McCain understands that immigration reform is top priority. He, like George W. Bush, also understands that Hispanics are human beings. They are voters. They are NO DIFFERENT from anyone else. Unfortunately, there are any number of "conservatives" who are basically racist. The perfect example, this from Glenn Spencer's site:"...McCain tells 'Tan Klan' so-called immigration reform is top priority..." "...Los Angeles Times 'Tan Klan' Soiree: McCain loses microphone to rabid Mexican Reconquista..." Once again the anti-immigration conservatives, spurred on by their talking points delivered by Dan Stein, the "voice" of the John Tanton network ... more » Saturday, July 12

MALKIN, TANTON & PLANNED PARENTHOOD This morning, I discovered a fascinating comment concerning the article I posted about Malkin and LaRaza. "I post on Michelles' blog on a regular basis and I am becoming very concerned about the level of anti-hispanic hatemongering that I see displayed there by both the hostess and some of her responders. Her hatred of John McCain and her willingness to derail his campaign is simply an extension of this.
It truly seems as though Ms. Malkin has lost all sense of proportion. Her blog has been overrun by Paulians, supremacists, and freaks who are into ... more » Tuesday, July 8

SOME CONSERVATIVES JUST DON'T GET IT REPUBLICANSWhen I hear conservatives wax poetic against John McCain, and some conservatives who swear up and down they are anti-abortion and yet plan to vote for Barack Obama (I'm related to at least one) I mention two words: Stevens & Ginsburg. If they aren't bright enough to figure out to whom I am referring, then there isn't much hope and they are true, clueless Barack Obama voters. But - then there are the conservatives who do get it and are still determined to do everything in their power to insure ... more » |
