DOES THE STUPIDITY EVER END?
We are being treated to the usual hysterical Henny-Penny crocodile tears about the sky falling. There is weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth. The world as we know it is coming to an end. John McCain, that durn Republican, met with Hispanics. Can you believe it. John McCain had the audacity to meet with Hispanics! Those nasty Hispanics...they do it every time.

What do we really know? Hard line anti-immigration “reform” is a loser for the GOP. Last night Lindsey basically slaughtered hard-line CofCC racist Buddy Witherspoon. There are indications that additional hard-liners went down in SC, but I don’t know enough about the races yet to make a blanket statement. What I do know is it appears (and I say appears) that hard line conservatives in SC in the state house and senate did not fare as well as was expected. They’ve found some disgusting anti-Semitism on Obama’s official site that has been officially removed. Same old same old if you ask me. Fortunately cooler heads did a few screen shots so I don’t think they can wriggle out of this. Bill Stevenson has a good posting about the GOP’s efforts to create an energy bill, which was naturally squelshed by the Dems. Jim Fryar tells us that Clint Eastwood is supporting Big Mac!

ONE BRIEF SHINING MOMENT?
A Republican friend emailed a link to this today. She’s concerned attacks like this are going to hurt John McCain this fall. The author or the piece in question, John Dendahl was the NMGOP’s impotent 2006 nominee to run against Bill Richardson. He has a half-way decent resume, but there were questions about how he arrived at his nomination, but that’s a different story.
