When I dropped Rums off at the poodle parlor this morning I had an adorable little monster with 6 inch poodle dreadlocks. He now has a ‘buzz cut’ – his hair is maybe an inch long. He still has his fuzzy face and his pony tail. Evidently he likes it. I don’t, but he needed his summer cut.

Unfortunately there is only one post for today. Real life has interfered with blogging. I know, it’s weird, but there are times when life happens!

I’ve had a long, windy day. My mother had a worse day. She did 3 hrs of nuclear medicine in Las Cruces. They are looking for some sort of aortal blockage. That’s the last thing she needs. While she was having her tests, I was shopping. I’m out of condition (shopping condition). I didn’t do bad, thought.

At least the world is back into perspective. We’re getting back to the serious stuff, peeping tom aliens, and mysterious New Mexico UFO’s. Well, there’s another mysterious object in the sky. I like what I see with C. Earl Greer. Frankly, he has a decent immigration policy that is not trying to out Tancredo everyone else in the race. The kitten was doing quite well. Her adoptive parents went out for lunch and found her. She had died in the litter box, trying to get out. It was quite sad. She was adapting. Her diarrhea was starting to solidify. She was eating.

The odd thing is ALL of my carport kitties have disappeared. I’m furious. I’m afraid something has happened to them. I just noticed that most of the Meow Mix has been eaten. Maybe Kay is right, there’s so much activity here, they are just scared.

Much of my day was spent in and out of the local emergency room with my mother. You may have seen the note I posted at the top of the blog earlier today. We are fine. She is fine, though exhausted. Praise God it was not a heart attack! She is suffering from some serious acid reflux (I’ve been telling her this for ages – but does anyone listen to me – noooooooo). She’s home, resting. Employment Opportunities?

I can’t believe I sat down and watched a good 7 innings of the season opener. The Prez looked good. The ESPN interview they did with him was far superior to the White House Press Corp. Joe Morgan did a great job, and asked some good questions. Then the Prez did just a little play-by-play, proving when he is unemployed a year from now he can always get a job doing baseball!

I think the title says it all. I’ve discovered I AM NOT THE PROBLEM. My DSL goes off periodically requiring a complete re-start, just about every hour on the hour. It’s not my Ethernet cable. It isn’t my NEW Airport-Extreme. It’s NOT ME. The problem is with Windstream Telecom. I don’t know if it was part of that chain reaction that took down quite a bit of the East Coast yesterday or not.
