Maximiliano Mateo-Mendez has two teenage boys who managed to get themselves in trouble with ICE. Mateo-Mendez is here, legally, checking up on his kids. He doesn't even live here, but in Santo Domingo. He has had a thriving business until a few weeks ago. After his boys managed to get themselves in trouble, for allegedly using false identifications, he flew to the US to check on them, and bail the kids out.

Three Teens Arrested for Homocide of Luis Ramirez
Three white small-town teenagers from Shenandoah Valley High School were charged with the beating death of Luis Ramirez. Two teens, Brandon J. Piekarsky, 16, and Colin J. Walsh, 17 were charged as as asults with homicide and ethnic intimidation during the July 12 attack. One of those charged with aggravated assault and ethnic intimidation, Derrick M. Donchak, age 18, was the local high school football team's quarterback last year. He is being held on $75,000 bail.

FLINGING A LITTLE MUD
The Sierra Vista Herald has a fascinating little article about Chris Simcox, Carmen Mercer and the Minuteman Fence. Evidently our erstwhile heroes are still trying to raise money to build their precious fence. My first question: If Michael Chertoff is determined to bulldoze the Constitution and erect his little fence, why are the Minutemen, et al still bilking people out of their hard earned cash?

This morning, I discovered a fascinating comment concerning the article I posted about Malkin and LaRaza. "I post on Michelles' blog on a regular basis and I am becoming very concerned about the level of anti-hispanic hatemongering that I see displayed there by both the hostess and some of her responders. Her hatred of John McCain and her willingness to derail his campaign is simply an extension of this.

Townhall is becoming the last, best refuge for scoundrels and racists. A few weeks ago we were treated to Pat Buchanan's lovely little explanation of why Hitler did cause the Holocaust. Now, we are going to be subjected to Michelle Malkin's own personal version of Luther's 99 Thesis - Against LaRaza. How long are good and decent people going to put up with this sort of blatant anti-Hispanic bias? I guess as long as good people sit on one hand and keep the other over their mouths, people like Malkin can get away with the same sort ... more »
