ILLEGALS ARE PEOPLE TOO

"We are at the beginning of a national crisis," stated Ester R. Shapiro, a professor at UMASS Boston and a researcher at the Gaston Institute who contributed research for the report.  "Homeland security guards told these mothers that DSS had already taken their children, that they had already lost their children.” Shapiro continued, “A detainee told me the worst night of her life was spent listening to the weeping of mothers who thought they had already lost their children. That is torture, and we have to take a …”stand against that."

I am still down with the flu.  It's not much fun, that's for sure. Rumsfeld has been enjoying the fact that he has more snuggle time.
An unassisted Triple Play!
Guacamole and the science of salsa!
That bright light that streaked through the NM sky the other night, giving visions of alien invasions was just a meteor.

Lindsey will introduce the bill for gas tax relief.

GOOD BP -  BAD ICE
Two stories are going to be presented for your edification.  One will detail the absurd waste of taxpayer dollars disrupting the lives of up to 700 families.  The other is an exemplary example of the Border Patrol at its best.

ICE REIGN OF TERROR CONTINUES
Does anyone know how long this reign of terror conducted by ICE will continue.  Not only content to raid the largest Kosher packing plant in the nation, but they are also making absurd claims that Meth is being made on the property.  The raid will probably disrupt the supply of ...   more »

THE CULT OF OBAMA

Earlier today, I received an email.  I cannot go into the details other than the fact that evidently, in order for a person to get tickets to an Obama event, they must sell their souls to work for Obama.  Tickets require work.  Work includes going door to door like certain religions (think about the one Michael Jackson belongs too) seeking converts.  I emailed back and told her this sounds like some sort of a cult.  Low and behold (heavenly choir please as a beam of light shines from the heavens onto Obama's saintly head) I find ...   more »

IT'S THE DRUGS NOT THE ILLEGALS

The Juarez style "narco-crimes" are now invading Tucson in the "narco" community. This is going to become more and more the norm all along the border as Mexico's narco-war invades the US.  It makes a person wonder why the House Democrats want to cut anti-drug aid to Mexico just when the nation needs it the most!  Fortunately, we have a GOP Presidential nominee who "Gets it".
"...Until now, Republicans and Democrats had tried to make as little noise as possible about the Bush administration's Mérida Initiative, a request for $500 million to help Mexico ...   more »
View Article  Why I Am Annoyed with Conservatives
SUNDAY, MAY 11

I want to set the record straight on a few things.  First, I am conservative.  I am not “A Conservative”.  I am conservative.  My conservative values have NEVER changed – except for my views on capital punishment.  I was for it, but then when I really began thinking about the pro-life implications, I cannot support it.  I do not believe in taking a person’s life – no matter who.  My only exception is for treason and then just shoot ‘em where they stand.  This is the only thing about my conservative views that has changed.  I want ...   more »

VIOLENCE IN ZIMBABWE

From Jim Fryer – Real World Libertarian

Hi Cindy, A message from a friend upset me to the point where I feel I need to do something about it. I am sending this to every person I can contact, any press outlet I can reach, and every politician I can, in the hope that we can get together a critical mass. I hope you can help. Don't go to the second link unless you have a strong stomach.

Jim.

The situation in Zimbabwe is something we should all be trying to get action on, and I am ...   more »

THE CONSERVATIVE CANARD
“…"Forty to fifty percent of the conservative leaders that I talk to at the national and state level either want the Republican to lose in November, or are ambivalent about it." Since the beginning of the movement, "We took the long range view. We didn't put all our eggs in any one election. We said that this isn't a sprint, it's a marathon." Viguerie said that he's telling his conservative friends not "to fear defeat." After all, GOP loses in 1964, 1974, 1976 and 1992 "cleaned out a lot of dead wood" from the Republican Party. ...   more »

INDIA, CHINA, SAUDI STATE SUBSIDIES

Sometimes you aren’t quiet sure if a story is correct.  Evidently there is some truth to this one.  I handle Whitley Strieber with kid gloves.  I’ve been told (years ago) by someone who worked with him, that there are problems, and will elaborate no further. Consequently, when I found this fascinating little article on one of the unarticulated reasons our gas prices are so high, I had to investigate a little.  Well, it appears as though Strieber might be correct.
He wrote:

SATURDAY, MAY 10

Twenty-three years ago last night I was in Atlanta slobbering over Sherrill Milnes as he did Simon Boccanegra with the Met.  They ended their annual tours a few years later, but I sure did hear some great music while they were in town.  My mother and I would stay at the Colony Square Hotel, get a suite.  My aunt would fly up from Palm Beach and my mother's best friend would also drive in for the week.  We would do 6 nights of intensive opera, good stuff, too. The thing I remember about that specific week was ...   more »

ARE CHAVEZ, FARC INVOLVED IN MEXICO
If you think illegal immigration is bad now, just wait.  If what I think is happening, we are in for a massive tide of illegal immigration – refugees fleeing the growing narco-war in Mexico.   This is a war, perhaps involving Hugo Chavez, the FARC, and his plans to undermine Mexico and bring terror to the border.

Our precious little conservatives, who are pandering to hard-line racists who have nothing to do with the GOP are diverting money that needs to go into the fight against narco-terror.  That is what it is.  Wait, ...   more »

The RNC has created a new site designed to for people who want to ask Barack Obama a question.  It is a great idea. There are a heck of a lot of questions I would like to ask, such as:  When did you last use illegal substances?  But I am behaving myself. The Dems have a problem here.  Barack Obama is not a good candidate.  Roger Simon has put it so succinctly – Obama is not the man for our times. I think this puts Barack Obama into perspective. NOTE:  I am having problems with Blog Harbor and posting.  I’ve been trying for about 2 hours to get something to “take”.

I’m listening to the Met (Live) do MacBeth, one of my favorites. Carlos Alverez, doing MacBeth sucks. He’s okay, but he’s no Sherrill Milnes.   Jimmy is incredible though.  I saw a performance there, years ago, where I was sitting front row, two seats to the right of Jimmy.  During the ghosts of Scotland past scene, they both became ‘tickled’.  It was so much fun watching them keep from smiling.  Something amusing happened with one of ...   more »

DO THEY HAVE SUPER-DELEGATES
I think this is a job for the new RNC site Can We Ask!

My father has made the connection between Barack Obama’s statement that there are 57 ( maybe 58) states and has tracked it back to the John Kerry Campaign of 2004.  He thinks Obama picked it up from Heinz 57!

I want to know when we added 7 new states.

THIS WEEK’S IMMIGRATION NEWS
They are now called Juan Crow Laws.

I have a real problem here.  I am noticing a growing trend within conservative (extreme, not Republican) blog ranks to classify La Raza as racist.  Along with that, there seems to be this under tone that maybe Hispanics are less than acceptable.  Or, if they are, we’re talking “OUR” Hispanics and the other (UPPITY) Hispanics.  Let’s face some very nasty facts here.  The same individuals who fought against the Civil Rights reforms and integration in the Sixties are the very ones helping to promote hard-line immigration reform.  Does ...   more »

You need to catch Carl Cameron’s interview with “Bud” Day.  Day was John McCain’s roommate while both were imprisoned during those horrible days in of the Vietnam War.  The interview leaves you in tears.

Day told Cameron:
“…“I took one look at him and my brain instantly said they dropped this guy off on me to claim that we let him die. He was just emaciated, very, very skinny, in this awful body cast.”

THE HISPANIC REPUBLICAN VOTE
Rubin Navarrette has a PJ Media piece about the Mexican flag.  There is a double standard.  Anything Mexican is bad – evil, evidently.
“…The point is, a lot of Americans look at anyone who waves a Mexican flag as secretly planning to take over the Southwest and hand it to Mexico. But they don’t suggest that anyone waving the Israeli flag - or the Irish flag, or the Italian flag or whatever - has something similar up his sleeve. In those cases, most people are likely to think that the display is harmless and that all ...   more »

AIRING  AYERS & OBAMA
A Pink Flamingo guest article by Sally Vee

We have Mayor Richard M. Daley of Chicago to thank for the reinvention and legitimization of the vile human being known as William Ayers. Daley magnanimously forgave and waved his royal hand over the head of extreme leftist/terrorist Bill Ayers, giving him more influence on America than we can fathom -- it is very likely Ayers has directly influenced your own children or those in your neighborhood. Mayor Daley hired Ayers to do the one job where he could spread his neo-marxist poison in the largest, surest measure ...   more »

SHOWING THEIR TRUE COLORS
There was something of a small feeding frenzy yesterday, lost in all the election news, about John McCain, his ideas about judges, and the extreme conservative reaction to it. Over the next few days I am going to be concentrating on the problems the GOP is facing with conservatives.  It isn't that "conservative" is the problem.  The problem is the fact that there is an entire breed of conservative that is not GOP and basically is wishing for the demise of the GOP.  It is time we separate the conservatives from the Republicans and the honorable ...   more »
